Current It's actually kind of annoying how easily franchises like Lost Planet can be spun off into PvE TPSs like EDF and HD2.

Thank goodness! For a second there I thought they were about to release a new Star Fox game.

It's hard to get the idea of a Lost Planet AU RP that incorporates elements straight out of Armored Core out of my head.

Why doesn't anyone come around here and IC-bait a Metal Slug RP? Sure they'll probably still bail like the rest, but at least the fans will enjoy that for a moment.

Greetings visitor! I hope you're having a good day! Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.

That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course.

I've been wondering what Lucia will grow into in terms of character. I hadn't ever intended on keeping him so dull forever. So he'll probably loosen up as time goes on, have a laugh from time to time. And given it's him I'm talking about, you can imagine how scary that can be. Now I'm not thinking of making him Krit Jr. or something. The way I see it, Krit is someone of a rather definite attitude and stance on things. I'm just envisioning Lucia developing in a more chaotic fashion, you know: "Whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stranger" and whatnot.

Well, that's just how things may be anyway, perhaps as a bad ending or something.

"Oh?" Cecilia looked at James with a sense of surprise, as if given permission to touch a normally wild animal. "Well, if you... think it's okay..." she said, although, in a sense, it was as if she was addressing Neric as well, asking for his additional consent. For a second, Neric seemed less a cat-shaped being of dark clouds, and rather an embodiment of the unknown. One way or another, this was the moment in which Cecilia begins a new part of her life, open to the world of extreme possibility as never before. Now is just a matter of how she'll react when faced with it. She held her jittery right hand over her chest, closing her eyes. Be brave... she told herself, feeling her heart and hand calm themselves at least a little. Opening her eyes in a soft expression towards Neric, she lowered her hand to him, her wrist slowly rotating and palm gradually opening until the entity was presented with her fingers for his perusal.
Cecilia looked at James, something about his expression reassuring her. A tentative smile appeared on her face and she began to calm down. "I see," she started, feeling compelled to convince the two of them that she was going to be fine. "I'll be alright. I... may just need to take a long look at a wall and rethink everything," she joked to that end, noticeably more composed. She looked down at the Neric, clearly in thought. "Together since birth... I can't even imagine..." Cecilia muttered to herself wistfully. She then started to lightly and delicately rub the top of her right hand, appearing to raise it inexplicably before lowering it. Actually, she was considering petting Neric as well.

Cecilia's mouth was agape as she beheld the dark being, not making a sound more due to being stunned than any promise to not endanger a secret. She turned to James only briefly in astonishment, her hand coming over her mouth as she turned back to Neric. It actually took her a good part of a minute to recall that said being had greeted her. "Ah, um... (swallows hurriedly)... H-hi... N-Neric," she managed, waving nervously at him, easily unnerved by even the entity's voice. She couldn't help but feel this way, although internally, she was hating herself for it.
@LiegeLord
Cecilia seemed puzzled for a second as she looked down at her hands on her lap. This very likely has something to do with his power, probably something that she had not even begun to consider as being possible. She looked up at James again, a little more serious than before, her hands fidgeting somewhat. She'd certainly never forgive herself if she refused. She nodded, her affirmation following a moment after. "Yes, I-I won't tell anyone. I promise," she replied, attempting to mentally preparing herself.
@LiegeLord
Cecilia managed to hear James' reference to a friend he knows. Unfortunately, a group of other campers were nearby, giving each other "small" demonstrations of their powers. One of them had just emitted a brilliant flash of light from their hands, a product of their photokinesis, to which the others cheered and laughed in their mirth. As a result, Cecilia didn't hear what would have been easily considered James talking to himself. But to her, he did look like he was saying something. "Hmm? A friend? You know someone here?" she asked, scooting a few inches closer to him to hopefully hear him over the other campers.
@LiegeLord
Cecilia smiled a little wider, unable to really help it. She was glad to find that James wasn't at all the unstable delinquent that her father warned her about. Truthfully, she felt ready to conclude that no one here was and that her dad was just assuming the worst, just one of the things that she'll have to discuss with him the next time she sees him. She pondered the question while briefly scoping the area from the cabins to the distant trees. "It all looks so incredible. To be honest, it's hard for me to tell whether I'm nervous or just excited to start exploring," she responded before a brief giggle, to which she held a hand over her mouth as was her tendency.
@LiegeLord
Turning her head to him, Cecilia's face brightened, especially considering that, up until then, she couldn't help but feel a bit out of place in the ever increasing crowd of returning campers and she welcomed the friendly diversion. "Hello there," she greeted, moving a few strands of hair from her face and lightly waving her other hand as a small greeting. "Nice to meet you James. My name's Cecilia. Yeah, I've actually never been to a camp - period. Not really sure what to expect, exactly," she admitted, nodding with a fair smile. "So what do you think of it so far? - The camp I mean," she asked James, less than happy with that minor blunder, but not exactly showing it under her expression.
On her way to the firepit, Cecilia was determined to get this first on the "right foot". Okay, no more fooling around. This time I'm asking their names, she ordered herself. There were some things she couldn't control. But what she could determine was how memorable she made this summer. She took a deep breathe on her way to a log near the pit, pretty relieved that she didn't need to carry her rather heavy backpack right now. She seated herself, wondering what kind of activities she'd be able to take part in.
Cecilia wasted no time in following the counselors' instructions. Somehow, their being twins and speaking in unison made her even more reluctant to get on their bad side or even meet with their disapproval. Looking out at the reddish campers' residences stationed around the well maintained grassy field, she couldn't help but smile widely. There was something special about this place. As much as she would love to explore right away, she instead zeroed in on her cabin, striding up to the porch. With a similar energy, she twisted the knob and opened the door, finding a welcoming layout of comfortable furnishings with an outdoorsy style. There was a big rectangular carpet with a floral pattern between the door and the back where the cabinets and beds were. Cecilia liked this carpet enough that she decided to step around it. It also helped that no one was watching her as she did so.

The wood panel floor knocking and creaking minutely under her feet, Cecilia made her way to the left cabinet, opening it and hanging her backpack on the inner hanger. On closing the cabinet, she wondered who she'll be sharing this room with. A second later she recalled how she should have gotten the names of the three other campers she had met. And yet at the same time, she wondered if it would really matter. Up until now, she hadn't really stayed in one place for very long; everyone she ever met would just be left behind. Would this camp be any different in the end? Cecilia quietly sat down on the side of a bed. Her hands moved solemnly over the covers for a minute. Wow, this bed is really comfy. I kinda wanna just lay here already, she joked, trying to think about something else. She sighed. Better get moving... she told herself as she started walking to the door, intent on rejoining everyone else at the fire-pit.
