"What would an ocean be without a monster lurking in the dark?
It would be like sleep without dreams." — Werner Herzog

"June 17th, 2021. We were doing the routine checkup on Scordoru when everyone on the outpost felt the earthquake. At first, we thought that it was just the creature moving in its sleep until the shaking lasted longer than ten seconds. The outpost began an emergency checking on Scordoru in the worst case that the insignificant earthquake woke it up. So far, it didn't appear to and thanked heaven for that. I don't think that this outpost is strong enough to handle it. And who was the genius to build one in the middle of an ocean? They must have been stupid to..."

"Foster, I saw it moved!"

Foster sighed and turned to James, the new guy to the research team. "James, I told you that it moves in its-"

"It isn't just moving its body." James interrupted Foster and dragged her to the large window. "Look!"

Scordoru's right claw started to move around as if it was trying to stand up. For the first time in years of being at Outpost Twenty, Foster was afraid and immediately ran to her station. She went to check its pulse and saw it move slowly to make sure it was awakened. That was when she activated the Containment protocol, which released a series of restraints designed to prevent Scordoru from moving at all. The monster became enraged and began breaking out of them. Now, its left claw was moving around and managed to break free from one of the restraints. That was when Foster knew that the protocol failed.

Even known she and Outpost Twenty failed to restrain Scordoru, Foster hesitated for a moment before pressing the big red button. She got up from her station and headed towards James, who was still watching Scordoru waking up for its long slumber. Both of them thought that it was somewhat elegant to see an ancient creature waking up from the first time in centuries. Then, he turned to Foster and pondered his question, thinking that it was foolish to ask. She saw that he was conflicted about talking, but Foster told him to speak his mind.

"When do you think help's coming?"

Foster originally was going to say nothing but she felt that it would have been wrong to say nothing. "Soon." she lied to James and kept watching the creature. It was the last thing that both of them will ever see. The control room blew up alone with Scordoru's lair in the slightest hope that either the explosion or debris would have killed it. Unfortunately, Scordoru rose up from the wreckage and tore off its remaining restraints. Now, it was furious.

Meanwhile, the workers of Outpost Twenty were in panic mode as they were getting ready to escape. TERRA containment forces were preparing to fight against the monster. However, all of them were caught off guard when one of Scordoru's claws tore open the platform. It started to shake the platform, which caused some people at the top to overboard. The containment forces weren't enough to defeat the creature as its claws crushed them. And soon enough, it quickly ripped apart the platform and picked off remaining survivors. Now, it needed to find land.

we are, as yet, but hanging around her outer courts.” — Seneca the Younger

Outpost Eleven was one of the few outposts that were built so close to civilization, but it was necessary to prevent Cinros from waking up. With that risk factor, TERRA made sure that everything was running smoothly at the outpost by increasing security and getting the latest technology. It cost them a fortune, but the investment was worth it. When the other outposts quickly fell apart, Outpost Eleven was still standing strong. It never lost power because it had its separate mini power grid to preserve any systems. But, the earthquake woke Cinros up.

The creature was unable to escape due to the restraints placed on his legs. As it tried to get out, containment forces arrived at the site and quickly set up for an assault. They had rocket launchers, grenade launchers, and plenty of explosives and rifles. Their orders were to slow down Cinros with enough firepower to weaken it before killing it with the self-destruct. The soldiers got into position and waited to fire as the protector shutter was slowly opening. When the creature turned to look at the soldiers, they started opening fire at it and caused it to roar out in pain. It tried to block the incoming rounds, but it wasn't fast enough. The soldiers thought that they had already won.

Until Cinros yanked one of its restraint towards the missiles and saw it destroyed. With that one restraint gone, the monster started to break out of the others. The soldiers attempted to retreat, but they were crushed by one of Cinros' long legs. That was when the outpost issued an evacuation alert to the remaining staff; however, it was collapsing around them. Debris blocked one of the exits and left dozens of workers to be caved in as Cinros rose up. It had enough room to move freely and it decided to investigate the surface. It kept rising until it hit a roadblock in the form of Mt. San Antonio. Yet, it made enough room to carve through the mountain.

It was going to be a while before Cinros was able to escape; but, it was determined to not give up.

APPEARANCE, PERSONALITY, & ABILITIES

Cinros looked like a huge sea monster with its long tail and its slender legs. The legs ended in multi-fingered hands which were recently discovered to bend backward. Its skin was a light gray with dark speckles across its body. There were two esophagi that extended from the monster's lower chest and ended in tooth-like projections. And its head had two eyes with massive pupils and a pair of membranous sacks on the sides that inflated and receded back. Despite its appearance, Cinros was thought to be durable to conventional weaponry and possibly other monsters. Studies found that its tail was strong enough to destroy 50,000 pounds per square inch and capable of destroying the nearby populated areas. Researchers believed that Cinros was aggressive to everything.

WEAKNESSES

However, it was possible that it could start running away if it was heavily pressured. With enough airstrikes, it was expected that Cinros will try to escape. That was when someone or something could deliver a killing blow to it. Yet, experts estimated that Cinros was able to destroy the entire Los Angeles County with ease. And its aggressive behavior meant that other monsters were its target. That type of behavior was going to bring it trouble since Cinros didn't understand the concept of an alliance.

HISTORY

Based on Terra's findings and years of studying, Cinros originated from the Pacific Ocean before heading towards land. It eventually found present-day California and made Mt. San Antonio it's home. Researchers believed that it was a mother and had several children; but, Cinros was the only one inside that mountain. The current theory was that it lost its children centuries ago because of unknown reasons. And as a result, Cinros went back to her home and began coping by entering habilitation. Recently, Terra was worried that Cinros was started to wake up for its slumber. They went ahead and warn Outpost Eleven of its possible awakening; but, none of the crew took the message seriously.

APPEARANCE, PERSONALITY, & ABILITIES

Bearing a resemblance to a crustacean, Scordoru was considered one of the smallest monsters in the world. Yet, it was still a threat if it ever escaped with its thick claws. According to researchers and experts, those claws were capable of crushing over 50,000 pounds per square inch. It also possesses a high crest above a large, symmetrical head that can withstand close range attacks and explosives. And there were toxic spiked barbs lining its plating giving him some sort of protection against its predators. The same researchers also noted that Scordoru might have been hostile to humans; however, they never found the reason behind its behavior.

WEAKNESSES

Scordoru's neck, underbelly, and ligaments were unprotected by its tough plating. And of course, it was smaller and weaker than the other monsters. Humanity was expected to be defenseless and valuable to the creature; however, a bigger and stronger monster was expected to win. But, Scordoru wasn't going to give up without a fight.

HISTORY

Based on Terra's findings and years of studying, Scordoru originated from East Asia before moving west towards the Americas. It spent years moving around across the ocean until it stopped moving near North America. None of the researchers knew why it suddenly stopped moving and decided to rest. Some theorized that it actually passed out due to exhaustion while others said something else beaten Scordoru in close combat. Regardless, Terra built Outpost 20 to contain the creature in the hopes that it never escaped.

What if I did Wonder Wednesday?
@Xanadu

Alright, I have fixed the problems you had with the sheet and added in more info within the sheet. Hopefully, I didn't miss anything else that you wrote down!

EDIT: Also, what do you think of the color? And I might still in add a vice or something. I don't know at the moment.
So many human characters. Where are the turians????
Also, can I ask questions about the feedback in private? Just to be sure that we are on the same page? @Xanadu
@Xanadu

Now that I got my feedback, I just edit my sheet or resubmit it and wait until the deadline's over to get it reviewed again?
