Economy
Flotilla has a completely different economic system from the rest of the world because of their limitations. For example, there isn't an official form of currency. Due to small spaces, the people of Flotilla value have to barter items to others within the Flotilla and outsiders. Even without a currency system, the government saved various types of currencies as payments to other countries for refueling and stocking up on valuable supplies. However, they were known to also barter with other countries whenever possible. They were sought after because of their crafts along with exotic goods, machinery, and electricity.

Unique Technologies
Civilian Airships are airships that are completely different compared to military airships. It was thanks to advancements in airborne machinery that it was possible to construct airships designed for farming, housing, or industrial.

Primary Species
Humans

Population
1.5 million

Culture
In the eyes of the government, foods, medicines, and things people took for granted were deemed luxuries. If the government has proof that a person was being wasteful, then they were exiled and placed in jail until they were release. Prisoners were often traded into the slave market if nations had one. If nations abolished slavery, then they usually were released them into the public. Laws are some of the strictest in the world compared to other nations due to their situation. Criminals found guilty of felonies were usually sent to death by firing squad or pushing them off of the airship. Exile depends on the crime and context of said crime.

Religion and Other Beliefs
Most of the citizens didn't believe in God or any religion while the government officially accepted all kinds of religions.

Military
Airships made up almost the entirely military for the country given that they lacked any land or water for a proper military and navy. Their organization was divided into three different groups: Scouting Fleet, Civilian Fleet, and Heavy Fleet. The Scouting Fleet made sure that the entire Flotilla was safe by scouting ahead while they also request docking permission and permission for their Flotilla to float above their city. And they also secured passage and diplomatic ties before entering another nations airspace. Then, there were the Civilian Fleet. Their purpose was to house the civilians while providing them with food, jobs, and places to trade. Often enough, you saw all of them in one civilian airship; however, large scale farming and industry have their own civilian ship. And finally, there were the Heavy Fleet. They were the navy and only main source of protection for the entire Flotilla. People saw the strongest ones surrounding the capital ship, which housed the Assembly.

However, there were the Flotilla Marines tasked with naval-infantry and police operations. The citizens saw them as the police force that were trained to handle invasions if the enemy boarded their ships.

Magic Prevalence/Usage
Magic users were forbidden because of their uncertainty and the risk of accidentally blowing up an airship. Usually, they were exiled from birth; however, it was the case that they were traded off to Elyr.

History/ Background Info
The formation of the Flotilla began shortly after the volcano erupted and covered much of the world in ash. Fearful that a government collapse was on the way, the high-ranking military officials and the influential wealthy class gathered to discuss plans of leaving before chaos took over. With their airships ready, the respected military and the remaining wealthy class abandoned their nation and decided to live in the skies until things on the ground calmed down. But it took a while before that could happen.

The wealthy tried to overthrow the military and failed. As a result, they were either executed or traded off into the country with slaves. Thus, they were granted access to their docks for refueling and stocking up on supplies. Eventually, they went on to build several more ships with the supplies given designed to be farms and houses for citizens. And the stories of flying cities began spreading across the world and people wanted to join the Flotilla. It was when the Assembly announced that people can join the Flotilla only if they give them gifts like resources, technologies, and even airships.

Nation Relations
Since Flotilla don't have any borders and land, they kept logs of trading with several nations throughout the world. The Divine Empire of Hastur was their first official trading partner and the only nation that had an active slave market. With an agreement agreed upon, the Flotilla sends their prisoners to become slaves from Hastur in return for.... While they traded their magical people away to Elyr. (also need to talk)

"Everything's coming up explodey!"

Background
Life in the Outback forever changed as the Australian Liberation Front destroyed the Omnium, turning the land into an irradiated hell. ‎Jamison Fawkes was one of thousands that were forced to live in the ruins while the government left them to rot. However, some of them became survivors and started to call themselves Junkers. The Junkers started to scavenged the husk of the omnium to form lawless communities across the Outback. For Junkrat, he was the one that made explosives. Of course, it all changed when he found an omnium fusion core within the omnium ruins.

And his friends tried to kill him for it. In turn, he killed them and ran away from the ruins with the fusion core. Despite hiding it in a secret location, all of the Outback wanted his treasure and issued a bounty. Junkrat had killed several bounty hunters before he encountered Roadhog, the one that almost caught him. That was until he was betrayed. So, he hired Roadhog to be his bodyguard. And as they grew closer, Junkrat eventually shared about the treasure. And it made them targets to everybody in the world. Both Overwatch and Talon wanted the treasure.

Then, everything was consumed by a light.

Personality
The lingering radiation from the Omnium turned Jamison into Junkrat, a chaos-inducing maniac with an obsession for explosions. He doesn't like solving things that can't be solved with money or death. And as a result, his impulsive, trigger-happy nature often gets him into trouble since he doesn't think things through. If it wasn't for Roadhog, Junkrat would have been killed a long time ago. Unlike his partner, Roadhog, he loves to talk so much that he doesn't know how to shut up. And he is a whole lot nicer and kind-hearted compared to Roadhog.

Specialty
Flanker/Damage

Powers
Flak Jacket - Junkrat takes no damage from his own explosions, takes reduced damage from explosions in general, and has a change of releasing an explosion when he gets critically hit in a deranged sense of humor.

Strengths
Explosion Expert - Junkrat knows things about bombs, explosions, and plenty of other things that no civilized person would know. Hell, he can even make them with the right parts and some junk.

Harasser - Junkrat can harass enemies from carpet bombing the enemy with his launcher to throwing mines to divide them up.

Weaknesses
Handicapped - Junkrat lost an arm and a leg during his time in the Outback and built himself two prosthetic limbs. As the result, his practical mobility is different and difficult for him.

Inaccurate - Junkrat's accuracy is horrible especially against airborne targets due to his weapon choice.

Insane - Due to the explosion, the radiation from the Omnium drove Junkrat into an insane maniac with a passion for destruction.

Spirits
None

Kindred Spirits
Moria - Overwatch - The Talon scientist and geneticist known for her controversial stance on rewriting the
genes of humans. She used herself as a test subject that gave her the ability to fade across and use her
biotics to heal or damage.

Wrench - Watch_Dogs 2 - A hacker affiliated with DedSec that acts as the group's engineer thanks to his
engineering skills. But whenever he is needed, his combat and parkour skills can help favor the odds. And
he knows a thing or two about demolition.

Tess - The Last of Us - A hardened survivor of the Cordyceps Infection that became Joel's partner for many
years. She was the natural leader, the brains of the partnership, and had connections with many people in
the Boston QZ. Sadly, she became infected and later killed by a squad of soldiers. However, the Light
bought her back to life before she was infected.

Inventory
Frag Launcher - Junkrat's grenade launcher lobs grenades at a significant distance and bounce before exploding.

Concussion Mines - Once Junkrat places or throws a mine, he triggers it in order to send enemies flying and damaging them. And he can also use the mine to propel himself through the air.

Level One - 0/10 XP

"As for the execution of Stryfe... I am here to confirm that Captain Steven Rogers was mobilized to the scene per my orders. While the specifics remain classified, I can confirm that Captain Rogers has been one of our operatives for the past three years. While Captain Rogers reported believing Stryfe was reaching for a weapon or device when he fired his service weapon, we have chosen to suspend Captain Rogers for the indefinite future. There will be no further questions, thank you."

Wonder Woman stood silent at the podium while each of the twelve senators looked down upon her. Each of them had something to say at her. Their words and insults only stung a little while she wanted the whole thing to end already. After all, she knew what they were going to recommend. Then, Senator Swanwick looked directly at her with pure hatred and began his final speech. "Because of our investigation, we have prepared a list of recommendations for the Horne administration. The first, and the most important, recommendation is the creation of a department that focuses on metahumans. This department will deal with public metahuman altercations that might harm our nation's citizens and infrastructure. It will also investigate metahuman activities, starting with Wonder Woman's possible ties with the terrorist group, Metahuman Supremacy Front."

"The second and final recommendation is the denaturalization of Wonder Woman, and her immediately ban from entering the United States and its territories. We recommend this course of action due to her possible connections with the MSF and the partial collapse of the Empire State Building. The ban will ensure a temporary calm while peace and order are slowly being restored in the affected areas. I would go as far as to recommend her arrest but-"

"Senator, that's enough!" Senator Finch interrupted before he could finish.

Senator Swanwick took a moment to calm down and responded, "You're right. I'm just so frustrated right now. Wonder Woman, do you have anything to say at all?"

There was a moment of silence in the room, awaiting a single word to come out of Wonder Woman's mouth. But there was nothing. Instead, she left the podium and started walking out of the room. Senator Swanwick yelled for Wonder Woman to remain in the building, but she didn't care. Nothing mattered. Stryfe won while everyone else lost. America had already begun to dismantle heroes and control metahumans. It was only a matter of time before the world followed. She exited out of the Capitol and planned on taking off, heading back to deal with problems at the World Veterans Federation headquarters. Protests have been going on non-stop since the collapse of the Empire State Building, calling for Wonder Woman's arrest and her resignation for the organization that she created.

Before taking flight, she noticed that her someone was staring at her in front of her. Wonder Woman approached the person and realized that it was Steve Rogers, but she didn't say anything.

Steve was about as incognito as he could be. He wore a nondescript baseball cap, hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, large aviator sunglasses, and jeans with combat boots. But gave a smile as Diana recognized him on her approach. He gave a nod. "I can't believe what happened in there. To think, that this country could come to this..." Steve's jaw clenched shut for a moment, before he gave a sigh and a chuckle. "Care to grab a drink before they come to kick you out of the country?"

"Yeah, sure." Diana chuckled and then sighed. "I knew this was going to happen. I wished that I was so wrong, but... here we are. At the endgame."

Cap gave a nod, and started heading east. They were able to keep a rather rapid pace. There were no words exchanged. There wasn't much to say out in public. In a few minutes and a few blocks away, the two found themselves in a rather small and nondescript apartment. The living room had a half kitchen blocked off with a counter in the back. As Steve made his way towards the kitchen, he nodded towards the couch sitting across from a tv. He called out from the kitchen, "Whiskey or Wine?"

Diana briefly looked at Rogers, said nothing, and resumed watching the news. Alcohol had no favor anymore.

Cap poured two glasses of whiskey and walked towards Diana, holding the glass out for her. "You know, after all the shit we went through during the war... when I got out of that ice, I expected the world to be better. But it's not. The same ideologies... the same fear... It's sickening. It used to be simple: we punch the bad guys. Then I wake up, I join the Commandos again... but they don't have us just punching the bad guys. It's picking up intel. Killing my own men. Destabilizing countries. The things I've done..." Steve just shook his head as he took a long sip of whiskey.

Diana took a small sip of the whiskey and waited for the favor to appear finally. Still nothing. She turned towards Rogers and finished his sentence in her emotionless voice, "Are nothing compared to what I've done."

Steve shrugged his shoulders. "Perhaps. Perhaps you've done a few bad things. Killed some terrorists in Trasnia, destroyed the Empire State Building trying to bring Stryfe in... Tough decisions, but they're yours. Me... I became a shill. Did Fury's bidding because I was born and raised to follow orders and that's it. Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. What matters is that when the world tells you to move, and that you're wrong... you need to plant your feet and tell them 'No... You move."'

She looked at the television and saw footage of anti-mutant protesters at the White House. "I spent the last one-hundred years doing that—It changed my whole life. I could have lived a peaceful life with my lover and had a family. But the world needed me. It needed Wonder Woman, their hero and savior for evildoers. I witnessed so much while you were frozen in the Arctic. I watched generations die out while new ones slowly replaced them. Now, I am watching everything I built dying like a star. Do you want to know the curse of being the most powerful person in the world? I can never die naturally. I am a Goddess, forced to watch humanity, slowly killing themselves, and I can't do anything about it. That is my curse."

Steve watched the TV for a moment, before he finally let out a small chuckle. "You can do something. You helped stop that maniac blow up New York. You helped stop the Trasnia incident. Back in the War, we stopped a genocide of people who were being killed because of their lineage and who they wanted to have sex with. Being a hero is about cleaning up the messes the world makes without so much as a thank you. And when you do what needs to be done... when you make the choice that they are too scared or incapable of making, they persecute you. It's how things are."

"It wasn't supposed to be like this..." Diana muttered to herself and then looked at Rogers, disappointed. "I had a plan. A plan that got ruined the moment that you killed him."

Cap finished his whiskey, before looking Diana in the eye. "I was trying to save you from this. I know exactly what you were going to do. And that... that would have been too far." Steve ground his teeth for a moment, anger swelling up in him. "I looked up to you, you know. I was some snot-nosed kid from Brooklyn who forged documents to get into the army. Signed up to be part of an experiment that should have killed me. Spent the entire damn war getting shot and beat up and blown to Hell... just so that I could prove that we 'humans' could do it too." Steve took a few steps away, his back to Diana as he looked out the window. "I take a dip into the Atlantic for 75 years, and I come back to see that you've done good. Continued protecting this country while I was gone. Start a damn charity organization to help people like me... like Steve. And now you want to start executing people like Stryfe to do... what, exactly? Be a hero?"

"You don't get it! By killing Stryfe, I would have become the villain while you became the perfect hero!" Diana yelled at Rogers and grabbed his shoulders, continuing her explanation. "You were never born with these powers. You lived a normal life and grew up in the city. You still retained your humanity even after you got your powers from a bottle. Then, you have me.. an uncontrollable monster waiting to unleash her true potential upon this world. The whole world—even you—were always afraid of me because I wasn't truly human. By killing Stryfe, that fear would have been a reality... not unless you stopped me. Captain America returns from the dead to stop the mad Wonder Woman. The media would have fallen in love with you while the American government would have stood by your side. Hell, they might have even thrown a parade for your grand return! And you would have reminded them of simple times as the world listened. You would have become the hero that I once was while I... I finally get to rest and reunite with Colonel Steve Trevor, enjoying the simple life. Do you finally understand?"

Steve brushed aside her grip before placing his hands on her shoulders in response, shaking her lightly as he spoke sternly. "That's not how it would have happened. It would have been a matter of time until he got out again and rekindled his organization. Sure, I'd get a parade and a platform. But at your expense... at the expense of the metahuman community. I made a call, and it might have been the wrong one. But you didn't give me much time to think. And I wasn't going to let you make yourself out to be a villain, Diana." He removed his grip from her shoulders and walked over, pointing at the TV. "If I couldn't have stopped you, and you killed Stryfe... This place would look like Nazi Germany. Stryfe would have won then. Kids from my neighborhood who didn't have a choice about how they were born would get rounded up by the cops and shoved into camps because they're dangerous. So yeah, I gave up what chance I had of the people seeing me as the hero so that I could save those kids from that. Being the hero requires giving up everything for those people out there. I learned that from you."

Diana understood that her plan would have lead to something much worse. So, she faintly smiled and asked her old friend, "Then, could you do me one final favor?"

"Of course."

"Kill me."

Steve shook his head, giving a long and deep sigh as he stared his old friend in the eyes. "That isn't going to happen, Diana. You can't give up like this." Steve walked back into the kitchen, beginning to pull out the whiskey again. "There are still people who believe in you. And if you're a goddess, you need to be there for those people. And I know you don't like it when I bring him up... but you know damn well that if Trevor were still here, he'd tell you the same damn thing." Steve poured another glass of whiskey and took a long sip, watching his friend with concern.

"But, do I deserve to be believed in? After everything that I have done?" Diana grabbed the glass of whiskey and started drinking it. "Should people still be inspired by me?"

"Having a bad year doesn't make you someone not worth believing in. You just need to remind them that of who you are." Steve gave a small smile. "You're Wonder Woman, Diana. You're the first hero. If I had to put all my belief in any one person, it would be you."

Diana took a seat and grabbed the glass. She thought about the people in her life that stood by her during this mess. Etta Candy, Alana Dominguez, Rachel Keast, and the countless people that believed her. Just like Rogers. Taking a long slip, she finally tasted a small spark of charred oak. It was something. And maybe it was enough. Enough to fix her past sins and make people believe in her again. She placed the empty glass on the table and looked up at Rogers with a genuine smile, the first in weeks.

"I'm sorry, but he died on the way."

That was what the doctor told James Pierce after his surgery. The news left him feeling numb. He had thought that he was going to break down and start crying loudly. Just like in those sappy movies that Cole always watched. Then again, Pierce wasn't normal, unlike his lover. Cole never deserved to be gunned down in broad daylight. He worked hard to achieve a bachelor's degree in English while working. And his friends and family loved and cared about him. In fact, his entire family was at the hospital, grief-stricken over the news. Yet, they still took their time to visit Pierce.

He felt like he didn't deserve vistiors.

Only forty-eight hours since he woke up that the authorities planned on releasing footage of the shooting. Pierce was glued to the small screen waiting for something significant to be revealed. After a lengthy press conference, the footage was shown briefly of Pierce and Cole walking together in the downtown area. He remembered how Cole was so excited to be outside. Then, the murder appeared behind them with a pistol hidden behind him. That was when the fucker's face was shown. Just before he fired several shots at them. Before he killed... Without thinking, Pierce grabbed his phone and took a picture of that scumbag.

Then, he got out of the hospital and started getting undressed. Both the doctor and nurses protested the decision, but nobody was going to prevent him from leaving. Pierce left the hospital without trouble and immediately dialed a number.

<"Hey, I need a favor.">

<"Pierce? Is that you?">

<"Yes, it's me. Look, I need you to look up someone from me. Can you do that?">

<"I thought you were getting married to that fellow down south?">

<"I'm not in the mood, David. I will send you a picture of someone. And you will search for everything about him, got it?">

<"Sounds serious. Let me see how you're doing over there. I heard-">

<"David.">

<"-it's a great place to start a family. I mean, it was rated number-">

<"... David?">

<"I didn't know... I'm sorry, James. I.. I will get on it now.">

<"Thanks.">

The call ended in silence for both of them. David was a good person, but he didn't know when to shut up and listen. On the bright side, it meant that he was going to get his info quicker than usual. But, he had to wait back at home. Pierce spent fifteen minutes walking home alone with his thoughts. Of course, he was trying to make sense of Cole's death. Of all the people in the world, why did it have to be you, Cole? I should have died instead. Nobody would have missed me. Hell, my family never cared. But I will be there for your family, and I will kill your murder. That's a promise.

After walking for an extra few minutes, Pierce looked up and saw the home that Cole wanted to live in. It cost a fortune, but it was worth every cent. A front yard with the white picket fence and the perfect backyard for birthday parties and BBQs during holidays. Better than a cramped apartment. Now, it was a haunting reminder of the future that Pierce will never have. He unlocked the front door and slowly entered the house. The quietness felt out of place. Cole never was the one to enjoy the calm, always planning some kind of party or gathering. And he was good at it.

Pierce sat down on the couch and pulled out his phone. The lock screen was a photo of him and Cole at a friend's dinner party. He already missed him. Once the phone was unlocked, Pierce checked on new messages for friends that were filled with heartfelt condolences. He tried to read every single one of them. But then, David called. Pierce knew that he had found something on the killer and answered without hesitation. He heard some laughter coming from David. Next, he announced much needed good news.

<"Found the fucker.">

◂◂ II ▸▸ Breathe — Catie Turner
Why did I decide to come back? Lucas asked himself after he saw the 'Welcome to Delton' sign surrounded by rocks and some colorful flowers. He looked away from the bus window and tried to suppress the memories of his departure. The music playing in the background helped a little but didn't thoroughly crush it. It got worse once the bus stopped at the Crystal Hill Station, the bus station on the edge of town. He started to remember that painful day. But instead of confronting it, Lucas began to walk towards the inn rather than wait for a ride. It was bittersweet to be back home. That was when he started to wonder about his parents and siblings. Where were they? Are they still living in town? Have they changed in the years Lucas has been absent? However, he already knew the answers.

After walking for ten minutes, Lucas finally arrived at the Europa Inn & Suites. It wasn't the best hotel in town, but it had decent reviews. No one or two stars on review sites. Just mostly three and even four stars. Also, it was cheaper than the premium hotels. He approached the receptionist about the reservation and got a keycard. Then, he headed towards his room on the second and immediately collapsed onto the bed. The original plan was to take a quick nap before tonight's event. However, he heard stomach growling and knew that he needed to eat something good. With help from his phone, Lucas began searching familiar-sounding places that he often went to eat. For the most part, they still reminded opened.

That was when he saw that P. Johnson's didn't shut down. Lucas always liked their breadsticks and their "secret sauce" (it was just a copy of another restaurant's sauce with extra ingredients). There were more options, but he didn't want to overeat. So with the breadsticks in mind, Lucas got up from the bed and left the hotel. Because the restaurant was only a few minutes away, he decided to walk instead of getting a ride. It was around this time that he thought about the other students. How many of them were still here? How many are planning to attend the reunion? He was deep in thought that nearly caused him to walk past P. Johnson's. The parking lot was filled with cars, but that didn't matter to Lucas.

Once inside, Lucas got in the long line and waited for his turn to order. At that moment, someone stared at him as if they were trying to recognize him. Lucas didn't know because he was on his phone, waiting. It wasn't until that someone got his attention with a simple question. "Are you Natalie's brother?"

Lucas hesitated to answer because he didn't know how she would have responded. But, he took a deep breath and slowly answered.

"Yeah, I am..."

Upon a closer look at the person, Lucas immediately realized that he was talking to one of Natalie's close friends, Kayleigh Hawkins. In high school, she was the treasurer for the student council and well-liked by everyone. Natalie hung out with her whenever possible until both of them graduated. She got accepted to a nearby college while Kayleigh was admitted to UCLA. She moved across the country shortly after getting the acceptance letter. Now, she was back for the reunion.

"Wow, life's been treating you good." Kayleigh said happily, referring to his overall appearance compared to his high school years. "I can't believe that it has been years since I last saw you. How are you?"

"I have been doing well. Boston has been treating me well enough. Got a decent place and a stable job. How about you?" Lucas said with a faint smile.

"I am nearly there to getting my degree in economics. Hopefully, I get work as a market research analyst for some company in the area." Kayleigh answered and saw that she was next to retrieve her order. She then realized something and turned to Lucas in an instant. "By the way, when's Natalie coming to town? It has been a while since we last talked."

Lucas looked down to the ground at the mention of his sister. Honestly, he didn't know if she was coming or not to the reunion. In fact, the last time that he saw her was on the night of his departure for this town. He sighed and said quietly, "I don't know. It has been a few years since we last talked. Sorry."

"Wait, I thought that Natalie was living with you?" Kayleigh asked confusedly.

"No..? Who told you that?

"Natalie." Kayleigh answered while heading towards the nearest table with her snacks. Lucas followed her and listened to her. According to her, Natalie explained that she was staying over at her brother's place in Boston. But that was a lie. Lucas asked what his sister said about him. Kayleigh said that she didn't mention him other than giving a reason why he left Delton. She said that he went to Boston to visit relatives. The reveal that she was lying about his departure left Lucas disappointed and upset. He looked down at the table and thanked her for telling him.

"No problem." Kayleigh responded while she finished up her snack. "If I see her, I will talk to her about it. Can I get your number so I can tell you what she says?"

"Of course." Lucas answered and pulled out his phone. He gave her his number, and the two of them talked for a bit longer. She brought up that somebody found the senior capsule and they were planning on opening it up here. Lucas didn't know about it until now since he deleted his social media accounts after leaving for Boston. But it was a coincidence that the event was taking place here. The two of them talked for a few more minutes until her phone rang again. She rolled her eyes and got up from the seat.

"Oh god. I forgot to get dinner for my brothers. It was nice talking to you. I will text you later on." Kayleigh walked out of the bar, leaving Lucas to be alone. He took a moment to hide all of his emotions. The music playing in the background helped a little. Then, a waiter brought him his order and some water. Lucas slowly started to eat his breadsticks while feeling anxious. Being in Delton was supposed to be a good thing for his health according to his friends and therapist. However, at this moment, he regretted listening to them.
Planetary Auction Square

Hizuno // Euthenia System
𝗤𝗨𝗦𝗞𝗢𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗔–𝗪𝗘𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗔 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗡

Hidden in the Downtown District, a repurposed warehouse was full of potential buyers looking to own something within the Expansion Region. Of course, it was filled with some of the wealthiest people in the entire star system. Some of them were looking for new sites from their businesses while providing colonial opportunities to everyone else. Others were planning on building resorts and turning their new planet into another Las Vegas or Dubai. All of them had the money and means, but who was going to outbid who. Nearly everyone was accounted for thanks to the government's official security force. In fact, the auction square was being run by them. It was part of their plan to fill the region as soon as possible. So far, it was successful.

Another shuttle arrived in front of the square, but it got everyone's attention. Theo Ross exited out of the vehicle and approached the auction floor. He was one of a few representatives of the prosperous biotechnology company, Horizon Industries. Horizon was one of the few companies that began trading with outsiders during the Great War. Soon enough, it became one of the wealthiest companies in the world. But, their position needed to be secured. Just like everyone else, they waited for the remaining guests to show up. Five minutes later, the auctioneer appeared on stage and clapped her hands to silence the customers.

"Thank you all for taking the time to meet with us." the auctioneer smiled and then turned on the hologram, displaying several objects. "Tonight, we'll be looking at the Sargas and Beta Ithacae system. Both of them have healthy suns and asteroid belts. But, the Sargas system has four habitable worlds, while Beta Ithacae only has two. We'll be starting with the Sargas system. Our first object will be..."

Theo listened as planets, moons, asteroid belts, and plenty of objects were being sold. Acoria. Sold to Terra Resorts for 1.60 billion credits. Phorth I6O. Sold to Legendary Mining Operations for 600 million. Donion and her rings. It was sold to Aeon Exploration for 700.92 million. He waited until the ideal planet presented its self. Eventually, it did. Ciamia was the last planet to be auctioned off. It was a stable desert world with two moons. The starting bid was ninety million. Si rose it to one-hundred million. Then, someone else raised it to one-hundred forty million. It kept going up for a bit until it came at two billion.

Horizon Industries and Mustang Arms were the remaining bidders. The auctioneer waited for another bid and saw Theo putting in five-hundred million. The representative of the arms company hesitated for a moment while awaiting a response. Then, he pulled out the bid leaving Horizon Industries the only bidder left. She waited at least ten seconds and then announced, "Ciamia's sold at 2.5 billion. We will be moving onto the Beta Ithacae system after a quick recess."

Theo got up from his seat and headed towards the security guards. They escorted him to a small room, where someone was waiting for them. He was a government worker that oversaw countless planets to ensure they were following government requirements and their rules. In addition, he needed to handover and explain the paperwork to the bidder. Buying a planet within the Expansion Region was easy (if you had the money). However, maintaining and ensuring that it was running flawlessly was a different story. It took at least a half-hour to explain the whole thing to Theo, but he understood the basics.

Soon enough, Theo was outside of the warehouse and got in the shuttle. He took the time to set up a holographic call with the CEO of Horizon, Si. The izien was in the middle of work when they answered the call. "I assume that the auction went well?"

"Correct, sir." Theo responded. "All of the paperwork should have been sent to you."

"Yeah, I just got the notification." Si took a moment to examine Ciamia and read it's brief summary. "What was a useful test site. The two moons are a bonus. Good decision to skip the last audition. Horizon Industries will never forget your hard work, Theo. I will be in touch with your supervisor shortly to talk about your excellent job. Keep it up."

Shortly after the call ended, Theo threw his hands up and cheered on the possible pay rise. He decided to spend the rest of the night celebrating with some friends from work.
