Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

People cry, not because they are weak. It's because they've been strong for too long

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

Connor checked the house, making sure that nothing had been disturbed, her grabbed a thick book, and tucked it under his arm, before heading back out the house, locking up once more.

He returned to Elizabeth, giving her a smile. "Shall we go?0

Niesha

location: West side baptist church, Smokey road
interacting with:sophie, @Nallore

Niesha was checking her arrows, making sure that there were no splinters or cracks that could break the arrow, which could mean the difference between life or death, in this life. Her mind wandered, but she still kept a look out for the dead. The church they were within was quite, and as far as she knew, empty. She wondered, not for the first time, what it was about people that made a building feel warm and...lived in. An abandoned church was even creepier then an abandoned house.

She wondered too how she had come to be with someone, again. She had promised herself she wouldn't allow this to happen, not again. If she was with people, she would get attached, and if she got attached, she would just get hurt again. She didn't know she could survive that again.

Yet what was she suppose to do, after the girl had saved her life? Niesha had expected to be attacked by the dead, not the living. So when she'd been attacked, it had shocked her, and she hadn't thought to get her gun. If Sophie hadn't saved her, Niesha might not be sitting in a church contemplating this. Sighing to herself, she put her arrows away, in the leather pouch she had sewn to hold them, over one shoulder so she could reach them quickly. Her gun was in its holster, loaded and ready to use. Her pack was by her feet, ready to grab. The knife she ate with was tucked into her belt.

She ran a hand over her mutilated hair, grimacing. When she'd been attacked, her hair used as leverage to control her, Niesha had cut herself free with the knife, and now her hair was short, chopped unevenly. She knew that wasn't something she should be concerned with, yet she had always had long hair. Sighing once more, she rose, slinging her pack over one shoulder, clipping her bow onto it, and making sure the arrows were secure.

"hey? I'm going to see if there's any water about, I don't have much left. You can come with if you want" she called to Sophie, part of her wanting the other girl to come, part of her not wanting that. "maybe check and see if there's any meds, or food." sometimes it was better to keep on moving, rather then be with her thoughts. Her nightmares. Her horrors.
