Sub Ether Engines (Their FTL engines. These engines break through the barriers between Space and Subspace (Known as The Ether) allowing the vessel to travel much faster... It's essentially the same as the Jump Engines from B5, only they don't create giant gaping portals. Takes a few minutes to warm up.)
A.I. Interface (The ship is outfitted with an ALFRED-class A.I. (Advanced Life Form Reading Educated Device) They simply call him Alfred. It is a fully functional A.I., able to perform complicated tasks, as well as learn and expand its programming.)
Battle A.I. BioAndroid Interface unit (Located at the back of the bridge is a tank for a BioAndroid. When the BioAndroid is placed in the tank, their mind is hooked up to the entire ship... At this point, the ship is able to respond with reflexes far surpassing the average human brain, which is already impressive. This can be a little distracting as... The BioAndroid has to be naked for this to work... It doesn't both them, but the crew on the other hand...)

2 Support Grappler Cruisers (Grappler Cruisers are much smaller than they sound, about 100 Meters in length. They sport a pair of large arms built for combat. These arms can hold weapons such as swords, axes, guns and other things. They are heavily favoured by Pirates, but Aegiswolf prides itself on being the only company in their price range to offer Grappler Ships. These 2 are XGP-15 class vessels. They are equipped with a dorsal and ventral laser cannon, missile tubes and their Grappler Arms, as well as an Assault Ram. Assault Rams are powerful ram devices that carry a squad of marines inside, when the ram hits an enemy hull, a laser-assisted drill burrows its way into the hull to deliver the marines to do their job.)
A custom built battleship, she was built as an escort vessel, to transport things from one place to another. She contains vast cargo bays and a large entertainment complex to keep the crew, as well as any business men that are travelling aboard, entertained. These include a sports area, as well as a strip club with prostitutes that are provided by liscenced establishments (Ctarl-Ctarl are highly aggressive enough as is, without them being sex-starved)
Notable Crew:
Captain James Hindrey: President of Aegiswolf LTD, he took over the company from his father. Initially, he joined the Space Forces and made it all the way up to captain, but was forced to resign when he found out about the corruption and dirty dealings with the larger Pirate groups, and refused to play along with it. He is a man of honour and decorum. His main weapon of choice is either a double barrelled pistol or, in a pinch, his Caster. He is rarely seen without his fathers captain uniform
First Officer Kayura Hindrey: Second in command, Vice President of Aegiswolf LTD and wife to Captain Hindrey. She was from a middle-class family and attempted to join the military. However, someone from her background could only go so far. as soon as her term was up, she left the military and looked for work as a mercenary. Soon, she found herself employed by Aegiswolf LTD, where she met her future husband.
Tarrik Hindrey: Son of Captain Hindrey, Tarrik is one of the only known Ctarl-Ctarl-Human hybrids. He is a mischievous soul that knows the layout of the entire ships crawlways off by heart, in fact, several times when he's been in trouble, he escaped into there and wasn't found until a few days later. He also knows his way around the computer systems and is proud of the fact that he can hack into the crew schedules in 3 minutes flat.
[url=]Flint Maximoff[/url]: Although very little is known about his life prior to joining Aegiswolf LTD, what is known is that he is a skilled Tao Magician, and that he has previous dealings with the captain. Flint has an uneasy relationship with the captain, but is nonetheless a valued member of the crew.
Kirkwood: Kirkwood is a Saurian, a Half-man, Half-dinosaur with exceptional amounts of strength and rock-hard skin. Kirkwood was formerly a soldier in the space forces, but when he was caught in terrorist sabotage of his ship, he was rendered quadriplegic, the only way for his to regain the use of his lost limbs was the dangerous Saurian treatment, in which he would be infused with Dinosaur DNA. It worked, and after many years of service, he left the military in order to join up with a Private Security Firm on frontier space, where he believed he could do a lot more good. His weapons of choice are a Bastard Sword and a Heavy Machine-gun
Chiko: Chiko is a Corbanite mechanic, one of the best, he's known as a miracle worker, turning write-off's into Great Heifong Race winners. There is also a saying on the ship "Never play cards with Chiko..."
Setsuna Patelly: A Bio Android, built to serve as the A.I. for the head if one of the larger Pirate groups, she was, however, liberated during an Aegiswolf raid on the base she was being created in. The equipment was repurposed and worked into the design of their ship, Lupaegis, and now she serves as their Battle A.I. assisting to coordinate battles. However, as part of her programming, she is an exceptional hand-to-hand combatant.
"Old Man" Yewkaria A grizzled Outlaw and famed Grappler, few have seen as much combat as he has. Grapplers are the best there are at Grappler combat and Yewk', in his younger days, was definitely in that catagory. His body has aged, but his whits have only honed with it.
Pre-Departure Scene:
Routine patrol missions usually are the most boring ones that Aegiswolf get assigned with. That being said, they usually pay well and use little to no ammunition, meaning that it was usually one of the most profitable. That being said, Captain Hindrey was still rather bored in his chair as he looked out of the main viewscreen at the empty blackness of space. "Alfred, Changes?" he asked. A small canister with a face lowered down and looked the captain in the eyes, before a pair of arms popped out and saluted.
"I regret to inform you that there are no changes, captain." said the computers voice. "Would you prefer that I told you that a pirate raiding party was dropping out of Sub-Ether?" he asked.
"Not really..." he replied. At that point, the lights dimmed and the red lights began flashing.
"Unfortunately, it is my duty to inform you that exactly that has happened." it said. At that point, Setsuna jumped up from a station and ran to the back of the bridge, standing with her back to the tank, she disappeared down a hatch and reappeared in the tank, completely naked with her arms folded across her chest.
"All hands, man battlestations!" her voice said through the ships speakers. "Ships closing on intercept course... Suggest retreating to point 260-125, where we can engage them more favourably, with the assistance of Lucky the Fighting Bull" James thought for a second. Lucky the Fighting Bull was a Missile boat that had been hired for the same job, they could take a few pirates, but as she said, they were out of range, and they could go to sub-ether, making them follow. If they had the assistance of Lucky, then they could use less ammo, and would assure their victory.
"Alright, let's jump to sub-ether." said James.
"HOW DARE YOU!!!" yelled the voice of his Ctarl-Ctarl bride as she burst onto the bridge. "WE DON'T RUN FROM A BUNCH OF PIRATES! WE HUNT THEM DOWN AND KILL THEM!!!" she screamed.
"Dear, if you could keep calm, we aren't running, we're luring them." replied James.
"8 seconds to Ether penetration- more ships dropping out of Sub-Ether" she said.
"What? Why didn't we detect them before?" asked James.
"Confirmed, 50 meters off the port bow, they're firing." added Alfred. At this point, they couldn't take evasive action, as their engines were totally dedicated to breaching the ether field, aborting the jump could damage their engines irreparably.
"3...2...1..." The Ether field penetration happened at the exact same time as their engines were hit. the Ship was consumed by the Ether as it was violently thrown into the vast unknown subspace dimension. Inside of the ship, they witnessed as the Ether seemed to almost rip the ship apart around them.
"So, this is how we buy it?" asked James, although, he had serious doubts as to whether anyone heard him.
