What? When did I ever give you crap about ranting about Pokemon? In my opinion, the internet is a place for you to shout why you hate everything you hate, so that the world can respond with a unified "We don't care"

As you read in my rant. I kinda stopped paying attention when they stopped making fun unique characters and started making Cloud over and over. Hell, the only reason I know is because I just saw Angry Joe's new video. Since 13 made me consider taking 50 calibur asprin, I have been firmly convinced that all games succeeding it were just dead horses they were trying to milk. I mean, 13 made me distance myself from the franchise and 13-2 made me lose all hope for the franchise... Why should I be paying attention to it?

So... I just found out about Final Fantasy XV... Urgh...

Can you guys answer me this? When did the traditional Final Fantasy turn-based fight system stop being fun? Because I played Final Fantasy 3-6 and it was fun, then i played 8 (despite the ass-backwards leveling up system) and 9 and it was still fun... And this is when they stopped using it... Whilst it was still fun... Which perplexes me, because, this is when Final Fantasy games started to go south fast... 10 failed because there was only 1 character i didn't utterly despise and the fighting system was changed to be more "streamlined" which is something that annoyed me, but it stood well enough. I never bothered with 11... But... Then we get to 12... And it seems to be moving away from the traditional gameplay and into the confusing mess... And i played Final Fantasy 13 for about 2 hours before settling into the fear that if i didn't play something with substance soon, then i may have to commit suicide... And now we have 15...

In 15, they appear to have made it a Devil May Cry/Bayonetta style fast-paced-hack'n'slasher... Which is all fine and good, the system works well enough, DMC/Bayonetta are fun games... Now, call me a Radical, but, when I buy a Final Fantasy game... I want a Final Fantasy game, not a Devil May Cry/Bayonetta game...

Now, I can appreciate them going in a new direction with their games, after all, the western mainstream is not a place for JRPG's to make money. But I don't want this to become the norm for Final Fantasy... Why can't it be it's own unique series? I mean, look at Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. A solid game that was a bucket of fun, even if it was a joke. But how pissed would we be if it was called "Metal Gear Solid V: Revengeance" There would be rioting in the fucking streets. Why can't this game be like that, call it "Final Fantasy Shooty-Stabby" It's not like they've never done it before, Final Fantasy Tactics completely changed the game and was a load of fun, I enjoyed Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. So, why can't this be it's own Final Fantasy offshoot series, and leave the millions of fans like me, who want nothing more than a new game with the classic Final Fantasy gameplay and characters that aren't just trying too hard to be Cloud, with the core series?

She was in human form when she ran through the museum. And fair enough... It's just that the IC is getting rather confusing, rather fast. I was wondering why nobody had noticed the hell that had erupted outside.

Right, we need something good." she muttered as the dial came up, most of the holograms of the aliens she passed through were simply displayed as a pixalated mess, but luckily, one of her favourites was still available. "Just the guy I was looking for." Pressing down the dial, she transformed, her feet elongating, her skin turning blue and black as large wings grew from her back. "BIG-" she grabbed her mouth to stop her from saying that name.

"I swear Tennyson, when I get my hands on you, I'm going to strangle you with your own stupidity..." she seethed. Unfortunately, Tennyson had taught all of the aliens in the Codon Stream to say his stupid pet-names for them when they were accessed... She couldn't stand the names, like they were chosen by a 10 year old." Her wings closed around her like a cowl and she turned Intangible. (Becoming nearly invisible to the naked eye and able to move through solid objects... Unfortunately, it is a conscious act, rather than a reflex action, so using it in battle was difficult. It was also incapable of passing through Lead or other intangible beings.) Stepping through the door she looked before slowly walking towards the front door.
