So, 2 questions:

1) @King Kindred I've been thinking about Dotty's development? Would you mind if she got a Dressphere going forward? Something to let her fight without mecessarily having to summon Zen-Aku. Also, i think it mostly could lead to some fun interactions.
2) @everyone: With Taivas and Dotty splittung ways, who wants to team with Dotty and Zen for their first world?

Kingdom Hearts: Heroes of Hope

Zen-Aku drew the Elephant Flail and slowly began spinning it in his hand, before jamming on the throttle, the bike beneath him roaring into life as he charged straight towards the Dragon. Meanwhile, Taivas mushed the Chocobo, it letting out a loud "KWEH!!!" Before launching into the air. Yuna went left, pulling a pair of pistols and laying down covering fire. Rikku leapt onto the back of the Chocobo, while Paine jumped onto the motorbike. Philip jumped in front as the jet of green flames lashed at them, the Shield of Hope knocking the torrent out of the way as his steed strode towards Maleficent. As Zen-Aku hit a ramp in the road the bike soared into the air, Paine jumped off the back and slashing for the neck, her sword dragging along the titanium-tough scales, sparks flying off as Maleficent let out a hearty laugh at this puny assault, but was caught a little offguard as the Elephant Flail lashed for her stomach, a quick flick of the tail sent it flying backwards towards Yuna. Jumping over it, she sent a volley of bullets from her pistols at the dragon, pinging harmlessly off of the black scales.

Maleficent reared her head back for another jet of flame, only to be struck in the mouth by a Blizzard spell from Taivas, Rikku jumping off the back of the Chocobo, landing on the back of Maleficents head and sliding down the back with her daggers keeping her descendt at a managable speed, but still being unable to penetrate the scales. Pulling her daggers away, she managed to balance to her feet as the tail came into view, she slid off the end, flying through the air, 3 somersaults, just as Zen-Aku landed behind her on the motorbike, the bike sliding in the dirt sideways as he put his foot down to bring it to a halt, Payne landed next to him, with Rikku landing on the back of the bike and Taivas astride the Chocobo landing next to them. Maleficent quickly whipped her head around looking for Philip, only to catch sight as the prince made his way towards the castle.

"Very clever!" She laughed in her booming, serpentine voice, before her green eyes turned pitch black and the wind picked up. The sky above them started to darken, behind them, a swarm of heartless began crawling out of every shadow, only being picked up by the wind.

"SHE'S SUMMONING A DEMON TOWER!!!" Rikku screamed over the din of the winds.

"Then we stop her, keep her attention here!" Taivas growled. Paine looked around for a second.

"Wait... Where's Yuna?" She asked, just as she saw Yuna glowing a bright light, before exploding out of it in her Berzerker outfit, running up the back of the dragon, with her claws, she launched herself upwards. Zen-Aku quickly stuck out his hand and a bolt of lightning blasted into Maleficents chest to keep her attention on him. As Maleficent looked down and opened her mouth, Yuna once again disappeared into her Dressphere, before appearing in her Alchemist outfit, a large gun in her hand. Maleficent's throat glowed with that eerie green flame as it came bubbling up, but then spotted Yuna falling in front of her. The fairy winked to the dragon before blasting a grenade down her throat. As the dull boom rang out from the surprised dragon, the winds died and the Demon Tower she was attempting to form simply scattered the heartless to the winds. Yuna landed gracefully as the Dragon stumbled back a bit, Rikku and Paine rushing to her.

"Great going, Yunnie." Rikku high-fived her as they met up. But the dragon was already back up and snarling at them.

"You know, if i didn't know the satisfaction i would get from destroying you all and watching Philip suffer again, i might be almost annoyed by that. Now, allow me a witty retort." She sighed, before another torrent of green fire started blasting at the party. The party scattered like bugs, the roar of engines and the Kweh! of the Chocobo as they all darted away. Unfortunately, as Zen-Aku was so focussed on dodging the fire that the tail whipping around caught him and sent him flying from the bike. The bike roared as it spun off into a ditch and Zen tumbled, landing on his feet, he summoned his Cresent Moon Blade, before spinning and sending 3 energy shockwaves from his sword at the dragon, but it bounced harmlessly off the impenetrable scales.

"Your cresent moon blade is forged from darkness, only a weapon of light can pierce her hide."

"And you couldn't have told me that BEFORE i handed that to Philip?" He grunted, before getting the knife out and putting the Elephant sphere in it, the Flail forming again. It was the only weapon he had that came close to a weapon of light. He could at least keep her attention on him. "Taivas, you'll have to use your Keyblade!" He yelled, running towards Maleficent. Taivas grunted, he wasn't quite sure how to handle this. He had been trying to harness the powers of darkness because of how strong they made him... And now he was being forced into using something else. Looking down at his Keyblade, he gripped the Keyblade hard, before lashing the reins of the Chocobo and it set off at a charge towards Maleficent. She chuckled as she looked at his stern face.

"Oh look," She giggled. "He thinks he has broken free from me completely." She let out a laugh as the Chocobo leapt into the air. Taivas jumped off the back to the Chocobo and leapt to drive the Keyblade directly into her heart. Maleficents eyes glowed a purple energy as a black aura surrounded Taivas as he was suddenly held in mid-air "He has no strings to hold him down, to make him fret, to make him frown." She sang, before throwing him into the path of another grenade coming from Yuna. The explosion tore Taivas' cloak and he let a scream of pain loose from his lips "He one had strings, but thinks he's free. The strings are still held by me..." She hissed, levatating him towards her jaws, which opened up to reveal a green light ready to barbeque him. But suddenly, the mouth clamped shut as a chain from the Elephant Flail wrapped around it as Zen-Aku landed on her head and pulled it taught. sliding around her neck to get even more leverage, he planted his boots firmly between the spines running down her back and pulled.

"STRIKE HER NOW!!!" Zen-Aku ordered. With a roar, Taivas wrenched himself free from the black aura that surrounded him and launched himself straight towards her heart. Jamming the Keyblade straight into the scales, Maleficent let out a muffled scream of pain, before grabbing Zen-Aku with her tail and swinging him back around her neck to unwrap him, before batting him down towards Taivas. Taivas was able to get one more good stab in before the Duke Org collided with his alley and they both tumbled to the ground. Zen-Aku got the pair of them up and they stared down the dragon. Maleficent looked around, not seeing YRP, before chuckling.

"Oh look, your fairies have abandoned you." She giggled. "They have the sense to flee before they are destroyed. Go, Taivas. Run away. Run back to your little island and rot away in safety from me." She laughed long and loud. Zen-Aku looked at Taivas, who looked back at his friend. They may not have grown up together, like his friends from the island, but after all this time, after these battles, he felt he knew this wolf demon as well as any of the others.

"Zen-Aku... If you want to go to protect Dotty, i don't blame you... Let me take her." He said.

"Not on your nelly, Han!" Dotty's spectral form yelled at him. "We're a team. Poodlewolf, Han the Handsome and Dotty the Great Bardess!!!" She yelled. "NOW GET OUT THERE AND KNOCK HER BLINKIN' BLOCK INTO NEXT WEEK!!!" In a flash, the Songstress costume on her seemed to transform to become more glam. Her hair gaining pink, blond and green streaks.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!" She let out a scream of defiance as Taivas and Zen both felt themselves suddenly feeling the fatigue lifting from them a little. Maleficent rolled her eyes.

"When you need a hero to protect the place you live.
Fighting monsters all around, trying to get within.
Awesome powers, no surrender,
Heroes never fall.
Look to the skies as they arrive when you hear this calllllllll!!"

As The pair charged again, Zen swung the flail around as Taivas jumped, landing on the ball as Zen sent it flying towards her.

"GO, KEYBARERS!
FLY, KEYBARERS!
WIN, KEYBARERS! HERE WE GO!
GO, KEYBARERS!
FLY, KEYBARERS!
WIN, KEYBARERS!
GO, FLY, WIN, FLY, GO!"

Maleficent let out a loud roar that sent all of them tumbling back and interrupting the song. "ENOUGH OF YOUR INCIPD SONGS!!!" She roared, before letting out a belch of fire at Dotty's spectral form. Both Zen and Taivas immediately jumping back in the way, swinging both flail and blade around to deflect the plume of fire. "YOU CAN'T JUST SING A SONG AND RALLY A COMEBACK! I AM THE ULTIMATE POWER IN THIS UNIVERSE AND YOU HAVE MADE THE MISTAKE OF MAKING YOURSELF NO LONGER ENTERTAINING!!! NOW PERISH!!!" She screamed as the flames intensified. A second later, a loud explosion rang out, Maleficent turned her head around to see the top tower of Stefan's castle exploding in a radiant bright light. "NO THE CURSE!!! THAT CUR BROKE IT!!!" She roared. As the light lanced into the sky, suddenly, a large, bright white rose appeared in the light, flying towards the Dragon, as the rose petals peeled back, it revealed Aurora in a Brilliant white dress, with Philip on her arm, the 3 fairies surrounded Aurora. Maleficent giggled, then laughed, then reared up and let out a long, deep, hearty laugh.

"The prince and his magic sword... Is nothing... Your pathetic Dressphere... Equally nothing... Your Duke Org and his pitiful pup... Cannot even hurt me... Your "Champion of Darkness" Is more laughable than anything... Those 3 fairies... Nothing... But all of you together... Might make me break a sweat if i cared to show you my true power... But i have better things to do... Yes, it's about time that i made tracks to deal with that." She pointed at Aurora. "Know this, princess. You have won this round, but once my plan is complete, you will be nothing more than a plaything for me to destroy and rebuild at my leisure. Enjoy your time with your prince, what little you have." And in a puff of smoke, she disappeared.

Dotty poked her head back up. "D... Did we win?" She asked, before Zen took the mask off and Dotty collapsed in a heap on the ground, absolutely exhausted.

General Techtronics Labs, New York

The Staff stood in the middle of the room, upright, the 3 of them staring at it. Boyd was crawling around on the glass of his cage, staring at the light shining from the staff's crystal. His head twitching back and forth in an insect-like way. Bailey sat on a chair. "So, it's a magic staff. Kinda looks like the one Shazam had." There was a loud boom from outside as a lightning bolt struck the lightning rod on the roof. "I need to stop doing that."

"Feel free to go nuts, kid, it's doing my electric bills the world of good." Simm replied. "But the question then arises... What's the point of the staff?" He asked. "You're already more powerful than a locomotive, a weapon seems a little pointless."

"Maybe it's not a weapon." Christina chimed in. Simm began rubbing his temple for the inevitable migrain her suggestion would cause. "What if it's something for you to focus your magic with? I mean, you're doing alright, but you can only do it as Captain Marvel? Maybe this is to help you become a wizard like Shazam?"

"But i don't know any spells..." He replied.

"Well, it's a good thing i do." Christina smiled, getting her phone out, she pressed a few buttons, before turning the phone around to reveal an older Livestream. Simm raised an eyebrow.

"There's a magic user... Who livestreams?" He asked. Christina rolled up her sleeve to reveal a "Zatarafam" bracelet. "And you believe him?" Christina pointed at Bailey, then at the staff.

"I MET A GREEK GOD AN HOUR AGO AND I MAY OR MAY NOT BE DATING HIS SON!!! MAGIC IS REAL!" Simm took a sharp inhale through his nose, before rolling his eyes.

"Alright, i can't argue with that." He resigned.

The Livestream

Zach huffed, cheeks flushing. “Fine. You want backwards? You get backwards.”

He snapped his fingers at the lone card spinning above him and spoke with all the dramatic flare of a boy desperate to reclaim his dignity. “Edivid dna ylf sdrac”

The card froze.

Not fell.
Not fluttered.
Froze.

Then it glowed.

“…uh,” Zach whispered, leaning back.

The single card split—once, twice, ten times—until dozens of identical cards orbited him in a ring of violet energy.

His heart stopped.

Chat lost its mind.

"You got a deck of cards?" She asked. Simm sighed and walked to his desk and grabbed an old and battered looking deck of cards from a drawer and put it on top of the desk. Bailey and Christina looked at the deck, then Christina looked at Simm. "You play Sorcery: The Congregation?" She asked. "CONERDUGH!" She coughed. Simm's eyebrow twitched at her.

"Get the staff, lets see what it can do. Repeat the words he said." Simm commanded. Christina played the video back several times. Bailey then looked at the deck of cards and put his hand out over it.

"Edivid dna ylf sdrac!" He called. The cards did nothing. Simm looked at him.

"I said get the staff. I would guess that your human body doesn't conduct magic the way Captain Marvel's body does." Simm replied. Bailey walked over to the staff and picked it up. It looked rather heavy, but even with his small body, he picked it up with ease. It felt like it weighed nothing. He was just about used to that feeling when he was Captain Marvel, but as Bailey... Frankly, it gave him nostalgia for his former spider powers. He walked over to the deck and held the staff over it.

"Edivid dna ylf sdrac!" As he said the words, lightning erupted from the end of the staff and began zapping the cards, which began twitching, before exploding in every way imaginable, shooting and ricocheting over the walls. "STOP! STOP! STOP!!! He yelled. One perfectly pierced straight through the glass of Boyd's cell. It didn't shatter the glass or anything, simply leaving a slit in the glass that the card had perfectly passed through. The cards now stuck into the walls all over the place.

"Say it backwards!" Christina yelled.

"Oh yeah, POTS!!!" He yelled as a shockwave erupted from the end of the staff. Everything stopped and fell silent... Eerily quiet... Perfectly quiet... Bailey looked around to see Christina and Simm perfectly still, Simm was mid-leap to avoid a card. "NO YOU STUPID STAFF, NOT STOP THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!!" HE groaned, shaking it. "Alright, i've got to say it backwards... Stop is pots, so... Og?" He ordered as the chaos unfroze and the whirlwind of cards continued to blow. "No, i've gotta stop just the cards... Pots eet scadr? Oh POTS!" He yelled as everything stopped again. He walked over to the desk and grabbed a piece of paper, writing "Stop The Cards" on it. He then flipped the paper and held it up to the light for the light to shine through. "Alright..." He tucked the staff between his armpit and the back of his hand, his arm wrapping around it so he could hold both it and the paper up to the light. He took a few breaths. "Alright, Og!" The chaos restarted again. "SDRAC EHT POTS!" He yelled as the cards suddenly stopped and fell to the ground. "That was terrifying, i'm never doing that again." Bailey replied. Meanwhile, Simm walked over to the phone and grabbed it from Christina, watching what Zatara was doing.

"Ok, here's the problem. That kid has a magic wand. You are using a staff forged by the very gods themselves and imbued with the power of their sorcerer-king. What you did is the equivalent of trying to putt a golf ball with a 3-wood." Ge replied.

"And for those of us under the age of 300 who don't play Golf?" Christina asked. Simm grunted.

"Fine, you just tied to perform sensitive surgery using a Claymore." Christina nodded.

"Explosives based surgery? Yikes, that's not going to end well for anyone involved." Christina grunted.

"I was talking about the sword, but your enalogy works better." Simm sighed.

"So... Is it too dangerous?" He asked.

"It's a staff forged by the gods, i should say so... But it'll be perfect for Captain Marvel to use." He replied. "Mind if i keep it here for study?" He asked.

"Well, i can't exactly take it back to F.E.A.S.T. can i?" Bailey sighed. Simm pressed some buttons on his control panel, before looking at Bailey.

"Before you go..." He pointed to several of his cards still imbedded in the ceiling a hundred foot above them. Bailey nodded.

"SHAZAM!"

Coast City, Blyniville Airforce Base

As the 3 agents and cat sat at the meeting table, the TV screen turned on and the sillouhette of the mysterious Director of S.W.O.R.D. appeared. "Gentlemen. Things are developing at an alarming rate. The starships that both Sinestro and Jordan managed to get intact are being poured over by our best minds at the moment, but with the recent arrival of the new alien and with Thor making a comeback... We are fighting multiple clocks at once. This High Evolutionary who may or may not be on the way, Despairo and now these Manhunters? Not helped by the gods themselves running around." An image of a raid on an air force base and several muscular men making off with a nuclear device. "To make matters worse, other gods seem to have instigated a Broken Arrow situation. But that's not our concern, that's... Well, that's the other guys' problem."

"It's my understanding that S.W.O.R.D. are to deal with spaceborn threats, i suppose your gods fall under the jurisdiction of whichever authority deals with Earthborn threats." Sinestro sighed

"Hey, i believe in exactly 1 god and he doesn't look like that... Well, his son, kinda... Who is himself..." Sinestro raised an eyebrow, as did Mae.

"I'm surprised that Thor's return hasn't had a larger effect on the religious community." She replied.

"Way i see it, if the Vikings were right about Thor... If anything that makes Adonai's existance even more likely. Unless we go by the argument that proof denies faith and without faith he's nothing, meaning that Thor revealing himself may have made Adonai disappear in a puff of logic." Hal laughed. Sinestro stared at Hal with a look of utter disbelief.

"Hal Jordan, are you allergic to the concept of making sense?" He asked. Mae swung her head to look at Sinestro.

"It's a book reference, ignore him." She replied.

"Remind me to lend you the works of Douglas Adams." Hal smiled at Sinestro. "So, we're leaving the gods to the others. What's next for our intrepid group?"

"We NEED more Lanterns. If any of these galactic warlords shows up on our doorstep, the 3 of you cannot guarantee the safety of Earth."

"4 of us. The Blue Lantern may not be the true Champion, but he will defend Earth, you can count on that." Sinestro looked up at the screen.

"Regardless of whether he does or not. Defense of a whole planet requires coordination. Something that the Blue Lantern has proven he has no interest in. I would like you to focus your efforts into the Orange Ring, we have been watching the path of destruction it has been leaving and we believe that it is the greatest danger to the public." Images appearing on the screen of the path of destruction. Hal winced at some of the unspeakable horrors flashing before them.

"Jesus..." He grimaced.

"Lastly, Mae, we have a gift for you." An agent walked in carrying a long briefcase. Usually the type that would hold a fully assembled sniper rifle.

"Ooooh, new toy. Go on, unwrap it." Hal called to Mae. She looked at him emotionlessly, probably contemplating whether to hit him or not. She flicked the clasps open and pushed the lid back to reveal the Manhunter's staff.

"Boys in the lab can't make heads nor tales of it. Keeping it in the lab is useless, but it's proven to be very useful against those with Lantern powers. Use it well." He said. Mae looked up at Hal, as she did so, a single tear rolled from the corner of her eye down her cheek.

"Well, no need to get all choked up over it." Hal replied.

"What do you mean?" She asked, before reaching up to her eye and wiping away the tear, before suddenly another from the other eye. She wiped it away as well "What the hell?" Instantly, Sinestro dived across the table, his golden costume appearing as he tackled Mae to the floor.

"SUITS! NOW!!!" He roared. Dex didn't respond, only summoning his suit, the same as Hal summoned his and jumped to his feet.

"What the hell's happening?" At that point, the wall seemed to turn to water and trickle away as suddenly a shape appeared on the other side. Stepping through the waterfall, was a man in a silvery costume stepped through, he had a thick head of brown hair and a large, bushy mustache under his nose. His eyes perfectly milky white and tears streaming down his face as if a waterfall.

"Hal Jordan..." The man said. "You will know my Sorrow..." He pointed the glowing ring straight at Hal.

"Jack?" Hal asked.

After everyone had split up and seemed to have gone their separate ways, Launchpad stayed long enough to reminisce with Donald about old times. Leon silently sat listening to them. As everyone began moving to go their own way, Launchpad spotted Hoshi. Grabbing Leon under his arm, he ran straight over to her. "Hoshi! Me and Leon have been talkin' with my old pal Donald and he thinks it'd be a great idea for us to come with you and your friends. Just to make sure you're safe. There's a lot of nasty things out there, not just Hollows. Point is, i think we need to come with."

Leon from under Launchpad's arm looked up to their ally. "Things you wouldn't wish to meet in your worst nightmares..." He said, sullenly. Everywhere he looked... That dragon... He shuddered a little.

"Hey, buddy-" He lifted Leon up so they were face to face. "You coming down with a cold or something?" He asked. Leon stared at him deadpan. Launchpad then turned to Hoshi and tucked Leon under his arm again, giving her a Salute."Just tell us which way to go and we'd follow you straight into the Hollow Bastion!"
