I am still on RPG, so do feel free to message me. Just don't have the time or energy to actually join any RP's right now. Focusing on a LOT of other projects, including getting into Audio Drama.

Pf, you think beating that is ? Go on, click the link. :p

Masato Ibu... That guy has the deepest, sexiest voice on the planet. Seriously, his voice is better than the Shipping Forecast
That is literally a Madolche Deck... I have a bad history with Madolche, due to a regular at my local Games Shop running them and berrating everyone that doesn't ONLY play the meta-game.

That guy said "Why do you play a game unless you play to win? Don't give me that fucking Zexal "We play for fun" bullcrap."

"You're deck is bad and you should feel bad. Seriously, HERO's haven't been a viable deck type for almost a decade. Get some Necrodolls, noob."

*Whilst looking through my deck* "Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit. Dude you fucking suck."

So, I have a bit of a biased view on them... But I can't bring myself to hate that deck. Go for it.

Name: Peter Redgrave

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Personality: Not much to say, he's your average nerd, he enjoys comic books, always has a big friendly smile on his face, and always has a friendly ear to lend. Pete always wears different Superhero shirts, most notably, a Superman t-shirt. He tries to live his life like his heroes.

Brief Bio: Born in Domino City, he grew up an average early life with his older brother, Lyle. When Pete was 5, and Lyle was 14, Lyle began exhibiting certain... Powers... Psychic abilities that allowed him to make the cards come to life, It was after a under 15's tournament, where Lyle accidentally used his power to actually injure his opponent, that an orginization called "The Cloud" came to their parents, saying that they specialized in it, he said that they could help him learn to control those powers. Seeing very little choice in the matter, they agreed. Pete was left alone, whilst alone, he latched onto Comic Books for entertainment. Lyle regularly sent letters... Until the final letter, which made little sense, it talked about them having a fun time at a place they had never gone, how they entered a tournament together, when Pete wasn't old enough to compete... The Letter also contained Lyles Elemental HERO: Neos.

Several years passed, and Pete was old enough to understand that something was horribly wrong, his parents didn't seem to talk about Lyle... In fact, when he asked, they gave no recollection of Lyle ever existing... That's when Neos came... Neos came and began talking to him, as a spirit. He said that he didn't know why he was alive, but he was. When Pete was 10, KaibaCorp. hosted a competition to customize a card however someone wanted it. Pete sent in his Neos and asked if they could make him look more like Superman. His was picked at random and he won, the cards picture was augmented, Neos was given a large red cape and Supermans S in the middle of his chest. They sent with it back to him along with a promotional holographic card that had 2 pictures, depending on which way you held it, one way showed Neos shaking hands with Superman, the other showed Neos and Superman fighting back to back against a horde of robots.

Now that he's older, he has tracked The Cloud to Anima City and is determined to find his brother.
Deck Type: Mixed HERO's

Key Card: Evil HERO: Malicious Edge

Known Cards: Mask Change, Elemental HERO: Ocean, King of the Swamp

Spirit Partner: Elemental HERO: Neos

VA: Johnny Yong Bosch (You all probably know him as Ichigo Kurosaki but to me, he'll always be Adam Park)

Battle theme: Hope for the World
UnendingEmpire said As for you, Matt, if you'd like to join then feel free. If you're just here to talk about meta decks and how everybody seems to use them here, you've come to the wrong thread for that. I've already addressed my case on the matter.

Ok, again, I didn't come here to shit all over everyones fun, it's just that every Yu-Gi-Oh! RP i've joined in on, someone or several someones have been running a competative deck and just gone around fucking everyone else over, which has completely killed everyones interest in it. My point is, I don't want to spend time building a deck, when it turns out after I join that the same is going to happen with this.

And Zagan, the absolute last thing I want to do is kill your interest. RP's are about having fun, fun for everyone, and I've joined in on several RP's where someone asks for more power than everyone else, and then abuses that power, and in Yu-Gi-Oh! It's VERY easy to get away with it. Sorry, i'm not trying to be a world-class dickbag, i'm just concerned about something going wrong because it's very easy for it to go wrong.

I'm making a CS now.
Krein said I don't believe there are any decks here that adhere to metagame structures, so I wouldn't worry too much right now about it.

Ummm... After a quick google search, I found a Ghostrick deck that came highly recommended for competitive play... Which is another problem that comes with this. The Opposite of what I was getting at.

Some people like to use meta archetypes in non-meta ways, I realize that Ghostricks are adorable and Evilswarms look rather nice, the problem is that they are designed to be played in only a small number of ways, and all of which are competitive, and that's nobodies fault (Except Bandai's) as they are not built for you to have fun with, they are built so that Kazunori Ueno can commission another Solid Gold yacht for his swimming pool. I hate to sound like a douche who came here to crap all over everyones fun, but Zagan, you are running a competitive deck...
I'd love to join... But this thread doesn't seem to have addressed the major flaw in each and every Yu-Gi-Oh! thread. The Meta-game.

In every other RP, it is fucking annoying when one guy has all of the power, and you aren't allowed to win against him. The problem is that Bandai are building Yu-Gi-Oh! as a professional game, the game is not about getting the maximum amount of enjoyment to the consumers, it's about building better and more powerful cards so that the pro players will be forced to buy them. This means that, anyone wanting to build a deck like Yugi's or Joeys will find themselves shit out of luck, as someone in the RP will be running Ghostricks or Necrodolls, which is going to absolutely rape the Joey deck 999,999/1,000,000.

So the problem becomes "Do I want to not have fun, because i have to run a Darkworld deck that I REALLY don't want to run, so that I can stand a chance in a duel against his Six Samurai and her Malefics? Or, do I want to not have fun, because my Vehicroid deck that I love will never be able to beat that guys Hieratics, or that girls Evilswarm?"

I can already see the problem beginning to make itself known in here, I mean, Gem Knight dude, you won't beat Ghostrick dude... Unless Ghostrick dude suddenly suffers a massive heart-attack half-way through your duel and you win by default. And this is why I'm torn between joining or not. I WANT to play HERO's, but unless I use that assbackwards "Competative" HERO deck that has about 8 HERO cards in it all together, I'm not going to stand much of a chance of beating anyone, and a game is not much fun if you lose every single time, and you know that the only way to win is to make the game boring... which it already is, so that plan defeats itself.

Did this get brought up at any point throughout the OOC? I haven't had a chance to read it in detail yet.
Currently, I'm just confused as to what to do with Kyzan.
Zen-Aku looked around as the monster attempted to intervene, Blocking the beam with his cresent-moon blade, he deflected it towards the wall, where it froze solid "THIS QUARRY IS MINE!!!" he roared. The hologram behind him looked between the monsters as though to simulate sizing up the situation.

"Ptera, retreat for now!" It said, before the Pterazord swooped in and they both disappeared in a blob of black light. Zen-Aku lashed his hand out, sending a bolt of lightning at it, but he timed it right and they disappeared just before the attacks made contact. He then turned around and growled at the monster.

"You made possible my enemies escape, you worm." he marched towards it and shoved the creasent moon blade to its throat "I should take your pathetic head instead... Although at the moment, i'm considering if your head is worth more than the pittance of my energy necessary to take it." he said. "Who sent you to intervene?"
So... This dead then?
Shit, i was supposed to post wasn't I. This is why I stopped being GM.
