Bio

"That's why we must eat the old people first. They can't have that kind of power."

I've been roleplaying for six years, and if I do say so myself I've gotten pretty good. I've been to many roleplay sites around the internet, and for right now I'm happy calling this one home. I write fantasy, high science fiction, and poetry. I'm involved in the Nerdfighteria community as well, making the world suck a little bit less one day at a time. Though sometimes it's rough and incredibly time-consuming, roleplaying has brought me some of my closest friends, some of the most genuinely awesome people I've ever met. This train is still going, and there's no stop in sight! DFTBA.

The Disappointment Club:

"What the fuck did I just read"

We're special-ed special forces, the most exclusive internet club that no one wants to join, and the most thoroughly disappointing group of individuals the world has ever seen (we even disappoint when it comes to disappointing). Together, we're quite possibly the best six friends the internet has know.

- @Junkmail : Living Proof That God is Dead.
- @He Who Walks Behind : I still won't forgive him for what he did to that starfish.
- @Dragonbud : Her Gregory Cosplay is fire.
- @Surtr : I think he's still trying to pimp me... Help.
- @Spoopy Scary : He's Greg.

@MaxxYeah, I saw that too but I'm not turning back on the character. Nothing's says we can't have two dragon guys(unless you are, in which case that sucks), besides, mine will probably be a bit different and a good deal more complicated.

The complicated part shows that you do not quite understand the complexity of the man who is @Mr Allen J. I'm not saying you can't (after all, we do sort of have two ice manipulators) but generally we try not to run duplicates of the same powers. In the end, though, it's honestly all up to Allen's judgement.

Also, I should point out that by criminal, Allen essentially means a supervillain, not a shoplifter.
@Mr Allen JMy dragon guy is a compulsive hoarder, a kleptomaniac, highly aggressive about said hoard, and extremely territorial. He's very much gas a criminal record, if involuntarily so cause of his powers. Him and my power nullifier are both teens as well.

I may be incorrect, but I believe that one of the lieutenants of the Fiends has dragon powers.
This is an NPC sheet for Plague's second-in-command, Daniel. It's going into his sheet under the other section.

Yes, but the difference between a sword stab and a sticky bomb is that you can get hit with a sword in a way that just wounds you without killing you. If a sticky bomb like that gets stuck to your flesh, you're losing a limb at least, and you're probably dead. Just look at the Halo plasma grenade. There's a difference between "can kill you" and "will kill you." One of Taylor's icicles can kill you, and getting hit with one wouldn't feel good. A sticky bomb will kill you and there's not much you can do about it. That's all.

But if you're willing to make those changes, then the character is probably good. Edit the new weaknesses in and you should be good. In the end, though, it all comes down to Allen's judgement, not mine.
@Savato Sure, just something that makes it so that other characters have a chance of beating him. It's not fun if one character has a power that nobody else can defend against. Maybe he's not immune to his own explosions, so if he uses his power to close to himself he can damage himself. I still think that the bombs shouldn't be able to fuse with flesh, however. Maybe it can't bind to organic matter well enough to explode, but still burns. A burn is easier to heal from than having your body literally explode.

Erm shoot him? (with non-lethal bullets of course, it's batman) Though I think you mean counter. Well, anything? Anything in its way will cause it to detonate prematurely and hurt no one. I can slow it down and all you'd have to do is shoot them and the tiny little bullet explodes like a firecracker lol. The speed of uh, a running dog? Those are pretty easy to shoot. Batman throws a bat boomerang.

I can also just make them act like normal, non-fusing bombs if this is still too complicated.

-_-

So I need a new analogy for weaknesses, I see.

Even if they were a normal, non-fusing bomb, it's still a strong attack and, as you seem to be skipping, it has no weakness. Every character here has some downside to their power, a weakness that can be used to defeat them. Your character does not have one. Your character has a lot of limits, but they don't have a weakness. Just saying that they are injured like a normal human is doesn't count.

As for its destruction potential. Yes, like most powers, a direct attack is often a OHKO. Although I suppose the lack of substantial counter is bothering you. I can make it easier to dodge by lowering its speed. I can also add that anything in their way will cause them to fuse, even with things like flames or any strange element. Perhaps I could have them explode five seconds after fusing, having the target flash to indicate it's about to explode or something, leaving time to purge whatever you may be wearing. It should be enough to 1) Not get hurt and 2) Figure out the power to be never hit again by IC logic. But if it hits flesh, it should leave substantial damage, I mean you got hit by the guy's best attack.

I can also lower is limit to like 4 and hit desperate limit to 6. I'm really okay with this.

The speed wouldn't be a problem at all if the supernova attack wasn't so strong.

A five second timer is useless if it hits bare skin. That's still a total OHKO. The problem is that this power can OHKO anyone in the roleplay and has no actual weaknesses. Everything that you have listed is a limit. A weakness is something that can be used against an opponent to defeat them, like how my character Sam (who has invisibility) becomes visible if he is exposed to vibrations (such as that generated by his gun or by bumping into something). Think of it like this; if Batman were fighting your character, how would he defeat them?

I could see it happening, given how easy it is to set Meifeng off (Though, she wouldn't resort to her powers so easily). The fight itself will probably turn into the world's greatest battle of attrition, to see who gets tired first.

Like two old men fighting.
Mr Allen J

In the end, it would probably end up being a fight of who is better-trained and more skilled.
@Savato What you have here is a character who can throw a bomb at the speed of a fastball that, according to your weakness section, is essentially an OHKO if it hits bare skin. Even if it hit clothing, if I understand this properly, it would fuse with the material and explode, which would undoubtedly severely damage whoever is wearing it. Your power doesn't really have weaknesses either. It has limits, sure, but six supernova attacks is like being able to throw six bombs that fuse with their targets, and ten if he's absolutely desperate. A power that strong needs some substantial weaknesses.

@Mr Allen J Taylor V Meifeng would be a very interesting fight. I would assume that Taylor would be able to deflect Meifeng's ice attacks, but Meifeng could also turn all of Taylor's attacks back into water.
Cool beans. I posted as Rafael, Sam, and Plague. I'll tack Carole and Taylor onto my next post.
