Also for consideration, while everyone else is postin' them.
Name: Shill
Sex: Female, doesn’t mind being mistaken for a boy though, considering it happens frequently enough.
Age: 18
Appearance: Shill isn’t too tall, standing around 5’4, with an athletic build from a life of movement. She keeps her hair short, and only recently began to dye it from its original black to various other colors. Her eyes are a cheerful green, always alight with wonder and curiosity. Normally she keeps her clothes simple, with her staple being a violet scarf that never seems to leave her neck. Recently however she’s begun to don pieces of boiled leather armor, mostly around her forearms, shoulders and legs, to cement her adventurer status.
Ethnic: Irish/Italian, not that she'd know.
Personality: Shill is easy to excite and easy to befriend. She’d love to sit down and have a nice meal with just about anyone, and would certainly rather talk than fight. When she does fight however, she fights as herself. There is no façade, there is no vanishing of emotions, even in the heat of conflict she can’t bring herself to hate someone. Which leads into her “rule” so to speak. Though she wants to label herself a hero, she’s fairly confident she could never bring herself to kill a villain, or anyone really. To her there is no finality to death, killing creates more problems than it solves, not to mention the emotional toll it would have on her to take a life. So she avoids conflict when she can, but that doesn’t mean she’ll hesitate to try and settle a heated matter in the most civil way possible.
Background/History: In truth, Shill doesn’t remember much of her life before arriving in Aurora. What she gets are flashes; roving caravans and drifters settled around a fire at night and bits of songs often pervade her dreams. That being said, she isn’t overly bothered by the situation, and rarely even thinks about it. Her focus is usually taken by the wonders of the world around her, and while she may not remember the place she came from, she knows it could never have been something quite so grand. So she worries about where she’ll go and who she’ll help next, excited for the adventures awaiting her in the world.
Goal/Desires: To help others, good or bad.
Powers: --Flicker-- Shill can momentarily vanish. Not merely become invisible, but quite literally disappear from the physical world. She retains her sense of space whilst gone, meaning that when she reappears she won’t be disoriented unless something had happened to the environment during her absence. At the present time, Shill can only “flicker” out of existence, vanishing for a blink before returning to the world.
Note: Shill rarely utilizes this power, and in fact often actively avoids situations in which she may be required to use it. As such, her experience with the ability and the extents of what it can do are severely limited.
Equipment/Inventory: Standard clothes, no wallet, a pocket-watch that never seems to tell the right time, and a sword.
Mercy:
The sword in question. Shill is quite sure she didn’t bring it with her when she arrived, but it was there when she woke up and has been with her ever since. The blade itself is roughly the length of her arm, and not much thicker. While its sides are sharp, the tip is flat and dulled. The handle section is separate from the rest of the sword, allowing the blade to rotate at will. It is most often kept sheathed and attached to her hip.
Cinwi paused for a moment when the creepy Youkai admitted to the horrors outside. His grin had gone in place of a far less amused grimace, and she felt her heart leap in panic. This guy was fucking big, and meant fucking business. The suffering Youkai outside may not have been particularly strong, but they were plenty, and no matter who you were being outnumbered like that wasn't some obstacle to tackle easily. Wait, did he just say he wanted to eat her? Oh no. Not just no, fuck no. Brutal badass or not she wasn't about to take a threat like that lightly. Cinwi bared her teeth.
"Not if I take chunks out of you first, asshole," she hissed.
Before they could get down to it however, a great force surrounded the house. She could feel the pressure of a greater being around them, and if the way the freak creeped her out was nothing compared to this. It was then the girl entered, likewise bearing reptilian features, though to a visibly minor degree. That being said, the snakes were audible through the walls, and they must have been massive to sound so clear. The creep addressed her as if they were familiar, and Cinwi felt her stomach twist. Great, a potential second enemy. And she'd just gotten through surviving a close call earlier.
A low growl rumbled in Cinwi's throat as the snake lady approached, but she elected to say nothing. Fuck the big guy, she didn't want to make too wrong of a move against the one with the giant ass snakes.
