I can't say that I'm a massive fan of the novels, either. My problems with the show comes down to A). It sucks now, and B). If you're gonna adapt something, respect the source material try to follow it as best you can.

If you can't, don't gut it and COMPRESS TWO WHOLE BOOKS INTO ONE SHITTY SEASON.

It was a good season with one shitty plotline (in Dorne). Hardhome was some of the best television ever.

Anyway gutting those two books was a mercy. Those two books were awful.
... Should I google "literature portrait" or "written artwork"? Because right now, I have no idea how I can join this time around. Haha.

Thinking of other ways to put it.... Like, Huckleberry Finn was a story about a particular time/place/kid and it really put you there with him, right? Or compare, like, the Avengers to an Ironman movie. The avengers is all about the big struggle but Iron Man is a portrait of Tony Stark.

None of that is perfect. You don't have to be perfect. The goal (for writers) is to really nail the focus down to something or someone specific, and tell a story by telling us about that person, place, thing, or time.
Wait...

we can do graphics for this?

:D

You can do both graphics AND/OR writing.

Guys, the purple isn't really THAAAT bad, is it?...

Yes. Yes it is.
Hey, get out of here, you're exiled.

New contest time! Get up for it! Due date is March 31st, aka 'before any of us wake up in April and post entries.'
Also, at this time we're finally announcing the bonus winners from DPRPGC #7!

RESISTANCE AWARDS

Poetry: 'Quests of the Glorious Leader' by @PlatinumSkink! I'll grant that this narrative was somewhere between prose and poetry -- but for all that, this was one of the cleverest 'form' entries I've ever seen. And it was great fun to read.

Fiction: 'So You Want a Revolution?' by [@villageidiot]! This is a story that should chill your bones, about the true cost of resistance. AND 'What's Wrong with Johnny?' by @Dark Wind, who surprised the Glorious Country by showing us the true cost of loyalty.

Betrayal: 'Retribution' by @RomanAria! A short, sweet, and well-crafted back-stabbing. Just like she gave the Glorious Leader!
