This is an intriguing challenge. Much to explore on this theme...... I must carve out some time for this one. First instinct is to revisit Gogue with a natural follow-up I hadn't considered until this very moment, but then, creation is always more fun.... Hmm. Gotta think.
Fedora.
@RomanAria I'd like to participate in this. But I've never been in a RPG Contest..

;-; I dunno how to participate in these types of things.

The basic gist is, write anything you like (though entries that conform to the theme generally do better), and when it's complete, send it via PM to @RPGC entry. We collect everything and post it in a big thread, where everybody can read your stuff, comment on it, and cast a vote for the winner. That's it! The 'challenges' are optional bonus things you can incorporate into your story/poem/entry -- the staff picks a winner for each challenge. The rest is up to voters.

OH, one more thing. All entries are treated as Anonymous unless you give us permission to sign your name to the entry. If you do sign your entry, it makes it easier to find reviews/comments on your work -- people can tag you in their post and you'll get a site notification, so it's pretty convenient. But that's up to you.

That's it, pretty much. There's a more complete explanation buried here, with various links to various longwinded threads.
you didn't have 18 years of people telling you you were too old to play if you're starting the clock when you were seven years old. At most maybe six years -- and three of those were pretty reasonable if we're honest.
I'll try. Kinda got a lot going on right now -- which explains why I didn't get an entry in (for this or TTL), or..... ahem...... start, uh.... start working on the next RPGC yet.... uh........... BUT YEAH I'm gonna try and do some reviews, I keep saying that but I will.
I actually don't think so, hiding sexuality just encourages these weird hypocritical neo-puritan societal values...

I know your post is bigger than just a single line, I promise, I'm not doing bullet-by-bullet dissections of anything, I just really think this sentence right here can be significant. "Weird hypocritical neo-puritan societal values....." Now, I'm just gonna leave this here and suppose aloud that if we changed the word 'puritan' to -- well I was going to say 'religious,' but every time I use it people think I'm insulting them. I'm not. I'm religious. I like religious people. But I'll walk it back.

Let's just say that, in a pride parade, there is (often deliberate) weirdness, there is SOME hypocrisy (esp. considering the topic at hand -- straight people aren't allowed to have a pride parade -- but more generally consider the linked image), and, if we consider 'neo-puritan' to mean people holding certain values and enforcing them upon others, well.... you know what it's a stretch, but I think the school of tolerance has been elevated to near-religious status. Granted, the reason nobody complains is because that's kinda great. But still.

MY BROADER POINT BEING -- I hear a phrase like 'weird, hypocritical neo-puritan' and it sounds like an insult. But buddy, that's all of us. Isn't that the point of a pride parade in the first place? And if you're thinking, 'we're not hypocrites,' then I refer you back to the linked image -- just replace 'religion' with 'sexual orientation.'

Yes, I'm a hypocrite too. Part of being one is, I don't really know it, but I certainly suspect and believe it. My point isn't 'I'm better than you.' My point is we're both assholes, everybody's the same flavor of asshole, so there's no point insulting anyone about it.
You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.
Rahm Emanuel

That's what pisses people off, right there. Only when someone you don't like is doing it, though. Everyone's apparently blind to their own side doing it, which is how they got to power in the first place.

Is the best rap song ever written, and it's from anime. So. Y'all can go screw yourselves.
The Dallas shootings were very predictable and we are going to learn exactly the wrong lessons from it. Hold on friends, we gonna have ourselves a police state.

and also yeh, anime still sucks

Within two minutes of turning on CNN, I was watching a fear-mongering gun control lecture. So I switched to Fox, and they were running a fear-mongering Obama/terrorism lecture.

Gosh, I wonder if maybe we're so divided because everyone keeps trying to rile us up against each other?
