Bane blinked and looked up at him, sitting back on his back legs. "I never much sleep. I am a demon after all. Just needed a couple hours..." He still looked worried then he said "Sebastian...did you sense anything off with Lady Shade when you were with her last night?"

Megumi smiled when he relaxed then stood up and said "I'll be right back. I want to go pick up some supplies while we have a moment. Meet back at the room?" She grabbed her bag and headed towards the market, happy with herself on how things were going. After a little bit she had almost everything she needed and she started to head back when she turned down a ally way, checking her bags and making sure she had everything. That's when a wave of uneasiness hit her and she suddenly ducked fast and kicked out, taking out a ninja nearby that was using a cloaking jitsu. She jumped up and landed on a fire escape, her bag across her shoulder. She pulled her dagger out, looking around. Then she felt a sharp pain in her neck and she reached up, feeling a dart in her neck. She was in trouble now. She let go of the railing and landed back on the ground, barely on her feet as she swayed and grabbed the wall. She blinked hard, her head swimming as she saw three men standing before. "Hey there, Wolf Spirit..." Megumi slid to the ground, doing a fast hand sign and sending a shadow to find Kylar.

The next morning Bane woke up first and yawned, stretching out and shaking his fur out. He jumped down and left the room, sniffing around till he found his lady's room. Sebastian had left her door open a crack for Bane, which made him smile as he poked his head in to check on her. She was still fast asleep and he sniffed the air, getting a scent for her state. What he smelled made him frown for a moment then he left. Her scent wasn't back to normal yet, which made him worry. He wasn't paying attention where he was going, lost in his thoughts.

Megumi sighed then reached over and rested her hand on top of his. "Well, your not alone now. You have me. We are partners for better or for worse. How does that sound?" She smiled, knowing he couldn't see it but she knew he could sense it.

Megumi looked at him and said "Wow...that can't be easy. My clan is down to my father, brother and me. But your all alone?" She looked concerned, knowing sort of what it was like to be alone. But she had her father and brother. To be totally alone, to lose everyone...she couldn't think she could bare that.

Bane nodded and looked at him. "Thanks...and if you could leave it open a crack just incase I need to leave, that would be helpful" He walked inside and jumped onto the bed, curling up and closing his eyes. He looked at tired at Maggie, even for a wolf.

Megumi sighed, knowing this was coming sooner or later. She reached up and pulled down the scarf she was wearing to show a seal mark on her collar bone. "I'm sure you have been hearing about the ninja with the fox spirits locked within them? Well, I kind of have the same thing...its a spirit called the Shadow Wolf. But mine wasn't a monster running around the country side. He made a packed with my clan that he would protect the village we serve and the clan if he could be hosted by a ninja. So his sealed within me. The group after me are called Hunters, low lives without mercy. They gather rare skills and anything of the sort. So naturally I'm top on their list" She pulled her scarf back up.
