John raised an eyebrow at Kay and said “well we will be talking about that later on won’t we…” then he sat up more as Serena slowly opened her eyes and looked around. She saw Kay and Bane and tried to move.

“What…hit me…” Bane kept her laying down and said “easy my lady…not too fast. You and John were attacked. Both of you have no energy right now. Either of you move too much you’ll pass out again”

John smirked and laid the ice over his forehead. “Really? I find that surprising sense she is the one who made the first move” Bane was using the shadows to stitch the wound and suddenly Serena groaned. Bane stopped and said “Serena?” He looked over and said “I think she’s coming around”

Bane turned and saw the medkit, then looked at the girls saying “right…human ways of doing this” he picked up the kit and opened it, looking for the tools he needed.

John smiled and took the ice, resting it on his head and muttered “love I’m alright. Just sore. And your welcome Sam…Shenis safe with me. And I’ll make sure she stays in touch this time.” He flinched as she touched one of the burns. “Thanks for getting us out, yoh two…we were in big trouble otherwise”

Bane was sitting by Serena as they came back in. “Kay? I think John could use some ice. He has a headache. Serena’s head wound isn’t too bad. Just need to stitch the wound and let her come around. Is everything alright?”

John waved weakly and said “hey love…nice to meet you Sam…wish I had a better first impression for you…this isn’t my proudest moment. Bloody vines…”

John was sitting up holding his head as Bane was treating Serena. Bane looked over and asked “what happened?” John shook his head and said “we followed a sense of dark aura…we were trying to find the Apollo vessel…but then those vines came out of no where. Which we were fine until something hit Serena from behind and then I got shocked. Someone else was there. Helping that thing out. I think whoever has the vessel…tried to get rid of us”

Serena laughed softly and said “it’s alright. I don’t blame you. Before then you had no reason to be kind to anyone…” she smiled at him again, noting the aura change.

Your just learning new things about her as well” he bowed his head and headed back to the living room, John sitting up and watching him come back and asked “everything good?” Bane nodded and said “it will be…”

Bane smiled and said “John is awake, needs to be treated snd then we must find out what happened. My guardian…Serena that is, seemed to have taken to the attack harder then John. I’ll need to check on her more detailed…”

He looked at her and said “there’s no rush when it comes to understanding…but just make sure you don’t shut Lay out when your trying to wrap your head around things.”

Bane shook his head and said “not long. Many of the years she was on the run I think she just thought she was crazy. Serena went thru something similar…in the moment of fear humans hardly are able to think thru things this far. Kay thought it would keep you safe from her nightmares…”

He reached and took Sam’s hand. “John is human but have the powers of a mage. He has been able to care for your sister. Protect her. Kay is safe with him…he was the one to convince Kay it was safe to see you again. Kay didn’t want you to come to harm…”
