BAne barked, fur growing as he barked "He killed my dogs boss! I trained them! Rasied them! I get to kill him now right?"

Avery stood up and took his hand. "I don't think I can sleep...why is Alex being punished? For what?"

The door opened and Bane leaned against the door, frowneding darkly. "Now...you really pissed me off...they don't kill unless I tell them too...and they were my pack brothers...you dumb, cocky, ego punk brat..." He picked him up and slammed him against the wall, his eyes glowing brightly. "Now you get to understand something...there are monsters that go bump in the night..." He growled and started to shift, kicking the door shut.

Avery opened her eyes and looked around, the tried to sit up. "What happened? Where is Alex?" She held her head, feeling fuzzy

Bane sighed and rested a hand on his shoulder. "I won't let that happen, Master...if she becomes important to you...then you will have me to help you carry out what will be to be done..." Avery stirred and Bane said "YOu better talk to her...and get her to her room...or a unused room" He smiled and said "I'm going to sit outside the dog's room and listen to that punk whimper.

Bane dropped him infront of the dogs and said "These are my pack brothers...meet Fang, Claw and Talon...the boss has bigger fancy names but those are my names for them...why don;t you spend the rest of the night in here and then you will understand what you put Ms. Shade thru..." He shut the door and locked it, nodding. "That will do it.." He walked back in in time to see Alucard stumble back and he caught him. "I take it it worked? You alright?" Avery was breathing even now, asleep thanks to Alucard.

Bane caught her and lowered her to the ground, his ear on her chest to listen to her heart. "Boss...I'm sorry to ask this of you...but you might have to use that mental thing you do...we have to get her calm down...and her brain is too cold to do it on her own...she jsut needs to relax her breathing...its the panic of her fear that started the attack. You need to end the attack before she has a heart attack" He siad this to him quietly so Alex wouldn't hear him, looking his boss in the eyes. "I'll handle the punk till your done...I know you can do this." He stood up and looked at Alex, his face now more scary then when he was pretending to be. "Your coming with me, maggot...I have a few friends to introduce you too...and they haven't been fed yet..." He grabbed him and dragged him out of the kitchen, leaving his master and the girl alone.

Bane smiled darkly and said "I am...but I;m using bait...should he be the bait my lord?" He looked at Avery then stopped smiling, his eyes telling him something was wrong. He walked over to her and rested a hand on her neck, sniffing her. "Boss, forget the brat for a moemnt...her heart is skipping beats. Wait..." HE looked at Alex and growled. "You knew she is Claustrophobic, didn't you? It wasn't enough to freeze her to death you had to put her thru her worst nightmare too?" He moved the soup and looked inot her eyes. "The cold plus Claustrophobia...boss this is bad...really bad" He looked at Alex again and said "Maybe I'll hunt you instead you little son of a..." Avery suddenly fell forward, her eyes closing.

Bane nodded then the boy ran into his back. He turned and smiled darkly, letting his yellow eyes glow in the darkness. "You got it...oh would you look at that...I found him..." He growled and grabbed Alex by the shirt collar and slammed him into the wall. "Your in my den now, pup...and I know what you are...you smell of failure and..." He took another long sniff and chuckled. "Rich brat too. My master would like a word...and then I get to have a little fun with you when his done with you...if there's anything left of you..." He picked him up and dragged him down the hallway, stopping a maid and telling her to get clothes from the laundry.

Avery was barely awake when she heard a voice. She looked at the door and moved away from it, using the wall. When it was smashed open Avery was breathing hard, her eyes barely open as the cold reached her already weak heart. When he set her down in the kitchen her lips were blue and her skin cold to the touch. She didn't say anything, shaking badly. She was fighting to stay awake, knowing thats how people died freezing to death. She wasn't really clear of what was going on around her, and then her heart started to skip beats, causing her to shaking more and sway slgihtly.

Tony waved to Avery who said she wanted to see the castle more. Alex saw her leave and smiled and followed her. Bane was getting the kids set up when he counted and saw the two were missing. He cursed and stopped the teacher. "Which two of your students are missing?" She looked around and said "Well Avery sadi she needed to check out some of the other rooms that she missed before for her thesis project...but I have no idea where Alex went...I swear if that boys father wasn't a lawyer..." Bane frowned, knowing this was really bad. He said he would find them and left to go search, sniffing the air as he put in his ear bud and hit the rediel. He only ever called one person. "Boss its me. You were right about the boy from before. He followed when she went off alone to get looks at some of the open rooms she missed before. I'll sniff them out but I could use your help. You know how big this place is"

Avery was looking at a piece of art work in the hallway closely, the piece of the lord of the manor, lord Dracula. She tilted her head, feeling she knew the face and not just from the stories she had read. Then she heard a noise and turned to see Alex standing behind her. She sighed and frowned saying "What do you want, Alex? I'm trying to work here" He nodded and said "Oh I know...on your myth crap...you know...that little lesson earlier was interesting...but you missed one thing..." Avery moved back as he walked towards her, her sense telling her to run. "And what was that?" Alex smiled darkly and said "YOu forgot about how blood sucker store their food" He grabbed her and pulled her into his chest, pinning her there as he dragged her away down the hallway. He covered her mouth with his arm as he found what he was looking for and threw her inside, Avery hitting the floor hard. "Now we see who gets the last laugh, Bookworm" He shut the door and locked it, breaking the handle off while he was at it and walked away. Avery picked herself up, holding her shoulder which felt out of place. She shivered and looked around, then she went white. It was a ice locker. And it was small, which was really bad for her as she already felt her breath tighten. She didn't do well in small spaces and with her heart problem, this was a very bad combo. She limped to the door and tried to open it, her breath getting sharper. "Alex please...don't do this...please let me out..." She was already freezing, just wearing her t-shirt and jeans. SHe shivered again and sank to the floor, shaking and breathing hard. She was in big trouble.

Bane stopped, sniffing again and cursing. "I lost her scent...how did I lose it...unless something grabbed her..." He tapped the ear wig again and said "Boss...we got a big problem..."

Bane looked at Alex then back at his master. "Want me to keep an eye on her?"

Avery and Tony came back into the room, Avery looking back to normal again. Tony glared at Alex again and Avery said "His not worth it, tony...." He nodded and they followed the group out into the hallway, Avery having a bad feeling all of a sudden
