The single ASP and the Instigator move back as Rufus seemingly phases through the force field and says something about wanting food. The combat droid keeps its cannons trained on Rufus, waiting only on the ASP's command as the droid focuses its main photoreceptor on Rufus and starts creating a message to send to Meta.

ASP: Halt, or you will be terminated.

After a few seconds the ASP will have sent the message to Meta, and will observe Rufus until he arrives.

---

Instead of heading to the bridge, Meta instead travels to the level right below it, which is where his living facilities are located. Securely locking the durasteel door to the lower area, he feels safe taking off his helmet. He puts both his hand on the sides of the bucket as an audible hiss could be heard. He pulls his helmet off and leaves it on the steel black surface of his dining table. He walks over to a large reinforced steel door, entering a code on a keypad beside it before grabbing onto the handle and pulling it open, revealing a walk-in refrigerator stocked to the brim with all sorts of food, which fortunately seem untouched despite the earlier events. He moves inside the small room, looking around before reaching for one of the shelves and grabbing a gray tupperware. He exits the room, closing the door behind him walking over to the kitchen countertop. Meta transferrs the contents of the tupperware into a ceramic bowl, which is revealed to be fried rice, before placing the bowl into an empty steamer. He places the steamer on the stove before turning it on, and then places the tupperware into a washer.

While waiting for his rice, he pulls out the datachip from earlier, he inserts it into a nearby datapad of his own and accesses the files contained within. There he sees Dino's records in the Quatis military, including his apparent death and then rebirth using cybernetics. Meta was already formulating a plan in his mind, thinking of possible scenarios that could play out and what would be his best loadout for a mission such as this. An entry describing the admiral's firearm could also be seen there, apparently it had several different types of fire, with its deadliest being able to completely obliterate matter in a set area. Meta took note of this, even though his armor was near indestructible, their weapons could blast him apart in one shot no problem, thus he had to resort to evading any kind of fire instead. After about 15 minutes or so, he returned to the steamer and retrieved the bowl of rice. He grabbed a metal spoon before settling down on the dining table and eagerly eating his meal. The aroma and taste of the fried rice induce a calming sense in Meta, amidst all the chaos going on around him, good food always seemed to make him feel better. He continued studying Dino's file even while eating, for he could receive his coordinates at any time and be called into action. After finishing his meal, he received a comlink message from an ASP, detailing their capture of the mysterious individual he saw earlier before being teleported, and his breach of the force field. Meta let out a tired sigh, Things seem to get more unusual every minute before returning the bowl and spoon to the washer, locking the freezer door and grabbing three loaves of bread from his pantry. He slipped his helmet back on, locking it once again as he walked to the doorway, pausing for a few seconds before leaving the area.

After a few minutes of walking, he arrives at the cell block, opening the doorway to reveal the ASP and the Instigator facing Rufus, he calls off the Instigator's weapons and steps in front of the two droids.

Meta: Return to your cell. Now.

Kaldalis didn't seem surprised by Kura's answer, she already seemed kind of an airhead when he first met her after all. Suddenly, the sound of the church bells ringing caught his attention. As he looks up, he brandishes Kuy'val dar and is unnerved at the sight before him to say the least. Words written it blood, accompanied by the hanging corpse of a woman could be seen on the wall of the church tower, with blood raining down on nearby citizens. Acts such as these were not surprising in a war, but in a seemingly peaceful town such as this, it was an inhumane act of horror.

His attention then shifts to a large bald man with a weapon sheathed on his back that had just approached him, introducing himself and asking for Kal to read his notebook for him. Although perplexed, he decides to comply with his request anyway.

Kaldalis: Hmmm... this reads "Relax, let us play with you"

As the brute talks about meeting an invisible girl, Kaldalis' becomes more and more suspicious of him, as if he didn't seem suspicious enough before. Based on Boris' description, his "invisible little girl" would seem to be a spirit of some kind. He didn't know if Boris might be working with the spirit or not, but he was sure there was more to him than meets the eye.

Kaldalis: The writing on the tower reads "Come and enjoy she's gold."

He then turns his back to Boris and faces the two girls, he ushers them away until they're out of earshot and whispers to them:

Kaldalis: You should leave, it's not safe here.
what the fuck
@Hokum

The droids take him to the cell block of the Tempest, where the lead ASP deactivates the force field of one cell and orders Rufus to enter. Soon, an Instigator scuttles into the room, cannons ready and aiming them at Rufus, while the other ASP exits the cell block.

Meta replies to Palin's comment about trust:

Meta: My condolences.

He then sees Palin pull out a datapad from his person and toss it on the table towards him. He grabs it and accesses the files inside before pulling out a small datachip from his belt. Thankfully, his technology could still interface with theirs as he slides the datachip into the receiving port of the tablet, extracting all the data that he could. He then puts the datapad down and returns the datachip back to its original location.

He ignores the First Gamma's comment about his own repair systems before returning the handshake and remarking:

Meta: I'll keep the secured comlink channel open, I will inform you if I require anything more.

He lets Palin finish talking before taking a short bow and replying:

Meta: As you wish.

Meta soon finds himself teleported back onto his ship and facing a group of Quatis engineers. Niner's report then comes in, confirming the repairs on the reactor and engines and that nothing has been tampered with.

Meta: Your job is to repair the shielding systems, plasma power generator, the hull plating, and the communications and sensor array.

Niner suddenly hovers into the view of the squad, as Meta says to them.

Meta: This droid will lead you to the respective areas, once you are finished you may leave this ship.

Meta then turns around and leaves Niner and the repair crew, returning to the bridge of the Tempest.
@Hokum

Ignoring the food and beverage in front of him, Meta replies to Palin:

Meta: Other galactic factions share your thoughts, ever since the appearance of Hany's Ribbon, people all over started delving into temporal technology themselves. Suffice to say, no one knows where any of them are now.

He says all of this with a straight voice, devoid of any emotion whatsoever.

Meta then listens to Palin's offer, his steel gaze meeting Palin's own, but in actuality, his helmet's sensors were gathering data of the surrounding area. However, the room had some kind of jammer that obscured much of the area, and thus he could only get basic visual and auditory readings.

As the First Gamma continues speaking, Meta already starts thinking about his possible options and his demands. He knows he has no choice but to accept the mission, and instead thinks heavily on how he would complete it. In this new world devoid of intel, he needs to get as much as he can.

Meta: Of course I'll accept your contract First Gamma, although if you're smart enough you should know that I'm more useful alive than dead.

He pauses for a moment before speaking again.

Meta: My first request is not to interfere, you can track my location but that's it, no more, no less. After all, good relationships are built on trust, so I think that both parties should observe it.

Meta: Second, Take me to your databanks and allow me access, I want to know everything that I can about him before starting the mission.

Meta: Third, finish repairing my ship and do nothing else.

He then rises from his seat and regains his composure, before reaching his right hand out towards Palin and asking:

Meta: Do we have a deal Palin?

---

The droid pauses for a moment, processing what Rufus had just said before its protocols kick in.

// UNKNOWN PERSONNEL //
// UNKNOWN MOTIVATIONS //
// ADVISED ACTION: DETAINMENT UNTIL COMMAND ARRIVES //

The ASP replied once again in its artificial voice:

ASP: Follow me.

The lead droid then turns around and starts hovering towards a doorway, while the second follows behind Rufus to help usher him in.

The trooper looked up at Memoriae, a little bit unnerved, before walking around him and stopping beside the sniper. He could see Colt down below with three troopers from his squad and one strange-looking infected moving towards them. As the sniper fired at the boomer, killing it, the trooper felt more relieved, and would stay there for a minute or two before walking back to the main area of the rooftop.

---

While the squad below were moving towards the abandoned building, they could see one of the infected slowly lumbering towards them. Before they could fire their weapons however, something struck it from above as it collapsed down onto the ground, unmoving. The squad looked up at the building to see the sniper with his rifle aimed towards the corpse of the boomer, indicating that he had been the one who had shot it. They then sprinted into the abandoned building, which was actually a command center of sorts, with a communications tower and a very powerful scanner at its disposal.

@Hokum

Meta stood there, unmoving, with his arms crossed. His helmet's void black T-shaped visor showed no movement, no emotion, no feeling. That was part of the reason he chose that design, both because he liked the design, it masked his own expressions, and that it could unnerve other people if he stared long enough. His attention then snapped to the size as a new being materialized into the ship, which looked like a mostly normal human male, but Meta knew better than that. His instincts told him to reach for his gun, but he forced himself not to due to the current situation, instead silently observing and analyzing both the newcomer and the Quatis droid, who seemed more human than most droids he encountered. He ignored the newcomer's comment and waited to see how the engineer would react, and was intrigued by the panicked state of the engineer. He allowed the droid to grab him, not resisting, as they teleported out of the Tempest.

Soon after, two other ASPs hovered into the scene. One of them stopped in front of Rufus and said in a monotone robotic voice:

ASP: Halt, identify yourself.

---

Meta soon found himself in a room at an unknown location. Guessing that this was the interior of the large ship he saw earlier, he looked around, analyzing the surroundings. The first thing he saw was the man in the uniform, which he could identify as a general of some sort. The second thing that he noticed was a picture of an unknown starship. The figure then stepped forward and asked him about his personal information, with no other choice he answered.

Meta: Meta, bounty hunter, mercenary, TKR system M414K045, escape from Hany's Ribbon, and I don't know anything about that ship, first time I've seen it.
@Raptra @eemmtt

As Abathur and his swarm emerged from the portal, he imme began taking in information. Abathur first saw the hooded figure, he mostly focused on the figure's biology rather than his speech and soon he was making predictions and thinking of what biological potential he could gather.

Unknown lifeform. Humanoid but not Terran, strange energy. Too weak to face him, will take samples later.

He then faced Skitterback and his work, examining them from a distance.

Unknown lifeform, mammal-like, inferior but still superior to Terran, must obtain sample for swarm. Large energy emminating, cannot fight, will return later with better swarm.

Abathur turned back to the hooded figure, fortunately, he still heard what it had said. He simply stared at it, not moving until the figure left. He then ordered the drones to carry the large emblem with them as they disappeared through one of the paths of the sewer.

After travelling a fair distance, the swarm found a suitable place to start a base. Abathur instructed one drone to morph into a hatchery, the heart of a Zerg base that could spawn larvae, which could then morph into Zerg creatures

He instructed the other to morph into an evolution chamber, which served as Abathur's workplace and where he could make new strains of zerg and improve on existing ones.

The rest of the drones were sent to forage for food, while the zerglings were split between escorting the drones and protecting the base.

Kaldalis does not even move as the girl collides with him, his armor absorbing the miniscule impact. He quickly reached the girl with his right arm and pulled her up.

Kaldalis: My apologies madam, I did not avoid you in time. Are you alright?

He then looks back to Kura as the woman claimed that she knew her, and waited for Kura's reply.
@Zyngard @Eviledd1984

One of the troopers stationed on the roof, a squad leader by the looks of him, said to the fortune teller:

Assault Trooper Sergeant: Negative, command told you to stay put, so that's what you'll have to do.

The rest of the troops on the rooftop, were either patrolling the area, manning the plasma repeaters, on lookout duty, or establishing coms with the PATGs and the Endurance. One of them saw the sniper moving towards the edge of the building and equip his rifle, seemingly aiming downwards. The trooper then switched from the TKR private com channel to his helmet's external voice speakers and asked.

Assault Trooper: You there, what are you doing with that rifle?

The trooper then readied his own rifle, not raising it, but ready to shoot, just in case.

---

Down below, Colt and his team were greeted by a few skitterers immediately upon exiting.

So much for stealth...

Colt was the first to raise his rifle at an alarming speed, followed quickly by his squad, which opened fire on the creatures. Blue bolts of plasma quickly zipped forward and dispatched the skitterers. The power of the weapons, combined with the troopers' intense training and skills, reduced the creatures to little more than roasted corpses. Realizing that their cover's been blown, Colt quickly leads his squad to a nearby abandoned building, in hopes of hiding their presence.

---

Meanwhile, the HAMs were having quite an uneventful run, the only things they've seen where city debris and the occasional mob of infected, no survivors could be found, and they were nearing the end of their course.
