I can't believe I've stuck myself with three girls for all of next year who think screaming, shrieking and making sex noises consists of banter. -_-

Bio

Howdy all! I figured it was about time I spruced up my bio section. Or, y'know. Wrote something in it other than WIP.

So! Things to know about my mostly-good self:

I'm a 20 year old female, hailing from a not-so-small town in the north east of England. I'm currently about a third through my second year at Uni, and have made some awesome friends there so far. I also debate. That's always fun - arguing has always been an annoying trait (for others, that is) of mine, so putting it into something one can have on their CV is great. The competitions are super fun too. Anyway, roleplaying.

If you've known me for a short or long while, you'll likely know what an absolute slut for fantasy I am. High fantasy to low, I love those kind of roleplays and will nearly always be interested in new ones that crop up. The same applies for Sci-Fi, but at the moment, I'm not feeling inspiration for a good ol' spacefaring RP. Gotta get the Mass Effect out again, get me craving some Turian booty again. However, I won't go for only these ones. SoL can interest me if they're run properly, alongside horror, mystery, romance, etc. I won't ignore something simply because it doesn't have magic or flying bears in it or something. As for level, I like to consider my writing high-casual to low-advanced. Hopefully others will agree with me on that one, haha. Anyway, here's a list of specific fandoms I enjoy, kind of in order of preference:

  • Lord of the Rings Universe (Including The Hobbit)
  • Dragon Age series
  • Elder Scrolls
  • Mass Effect Trilogy
  • Star Trek (I'd love a Discovery one right now!)
  • Star Wars (Specifically the time around the Prequels; while I shan't get into the whole Prequel/Original war on which is better, roleplaying makes for more excitement in the prequel era. Clone Wars guys, c'mon!)
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • Fringe
  • Greek Mythology (PJO, but with the amount of Camp Half-Blood roleplays that have come and gone, I'd prefer one based more on the Original Mythologies)
  • Norse Mythology
  • Marvel
  • Left 4 Dead
  • The Walking Dead (Or any Post-Apocalypse Roleplay, really.)
  • 'A Song of Ice and Fire' Series
  • House of Night Series
  • True Blood
  • Deus Ex
  • Blood Ties
  • The Vampire Diaries (I admittedly abandoned the show and books when the plot got too boring, but I still like the Universe. I'd join a roleplay based in it, if it had original characters, that is.)
  • Pacific Rim

Aaannndd I'll stop the list here before I go on forever. Basically there's a lot, particularly in the realm of fantasy. Hit me up if you want me in your roleplay, of if you'd like to do a 1x1 based around any of those areas, or even some additional ones if you think I'd be interested. I love original plots and Universes too, especially if they're done well.

Placing her swiftly congealing bowl of porridge on the floor as Rannon replied, Feri supposed it was unsurprising he felt that way. Certainly not correct, and Rannon was being more than harsh on himself. But in many walks of life, if you witness death, no matter the scale or horror of it, you are left feeling different. Survivor's guild plagued more than a few in this land, and Feri herself had had moments of it herself - she understood what he felt, and could hopefully help him out of it.

"Punishment? Oh, Rannon. You fought your battle. You didn't desert like Loghain did, you just had the wits to save your own life when everyone else..." She paused uncomfortably; she hadn't been present at Ostagar, but she didn't need much imagination to know the death toll there. For the King, countless soldiers, and even a handful of Grey Wardens to die, the battle must have been an impossible one to live through. Feri shook her head in simple refusal of what he had said. "Don't judge yourself for being alive. I've been there - definitely in a different context, but it's still a dark path to go down." So is revenge... She thought to herself wordlessly. While Loghain had to be brought to justice for his treachery, there was a fine line between that and vengeance. Revenge rarely brought about any peace in those affected - it could turn too quickly into something nasty and blood-filled.

"You make me feel better." Feri was glad that Rannon's eyes were averted at his outburst, as her face once more flushed crimson. Cursing her seemingly ever-rosy cheeks, the young half-dwarf had to consider that she was blushing rather a lot around the warrior. Usually she kept minimum contact to men, or were completely at ease around them, treating them no differently than a friend. Perhaps because they had known each for only a day? There must be something beyond his comeliness for me to be reacting so oddly. Feri cleared her throat before answering, willing her cheeks to calm down.

"Well... I'm glad! When we first came across one another, you had quite the grim look in your eye. Admittedly, that could have been something to do with all the blood you were covered in, and then the Darkspawn we killed, not to mention your injuries - " She paused, deciding the tangent had gone on long enough. "What I mean to say is that I'm glad you weren't alone, traipsing through those wilds. Gideon here is fine company, but I find sentience in your comrades goes a long way for feeling better. Helps conversation too." Standing up with a sigh and nudging her unfinished breakfast towards the Mabari with a friendly smile, Feri dusted her hands off from where she had sat upon the ground. "You make me feel better too. Not only have you already saved my life, but things seem a little brighter with someone else around. It helps that you're a good talker too; I don't think we'd have as much of a good time if you were a mute." Said with a light grin, Feri offered her hand to the still sitting Rannon, just as he did earlier; except the height difference was a bit more comedic, and hoisting him up would take a bit more effort on her part.

"You'll have my company and my swords to Redcliffe and beyond, Rannon. I may not be Fereldan, but I know a friend in need when I see one. I also know a traitor - and they're looked down upon everywhere." Feri said, serious up to that point, where she paused and frowned. "Except in Orlais, actually. Maker, they're an odd sort. We're staying in this country on our travels, right?" Feri only hoped the joke masked the hopefulness in her tone. She had some doubts on whether Rannon would want to do what he needed to do alone, but she'd feel too guilty leaving him at this point. He needed help... besides: They made each other feel better - why ruin something like that?

Noice! She can go ahead to the Character tab now, feel free to post. :)
@Lauder

Waddya say to THAT, Magic Man?!
@Lauder

Ah, okay - that works nicely. :) I look forward to seeing our second Argonian in action!
@Lauder
Awesome character, there's just a few things I'd like clarifying. Under her skills section it includes "translation" - presumably, what she has learnt from the dead. You'll need to list what language she learnt enough to translate to a novice degree, and I'm sure it couldn't have all come from the dead. Perhaps mention on her travels that she picked up a few books in the language you decide to pick? Also, in her inventory, you may want to include things such as money and some kind of bedroll or blanket for sleeping. Optional, of course, but we don't want our characters to freeze during their nighttime nap.

Oh, and when your character is all fixed up and accepted, you won't be posting from inside the gate or the city; it'll be outside. She's fine having wandered around Kvatch, just as long as she got out before the main gate opened. You can still do an introductory post however, just on the outside of the city walls. You and the others won't have to wait much longer to meet up with the others, as soon as my Co-GM posts we'll be moving things along and getting the gate closed. :)

Other than that, I can't see a thing wrong with her! Unless @Leos Klien has anything to add, you just fix up those things I've mentioned, as you can stick her in the character tab.

@Vas Khaleen
While your effort is appreciated, I think this roleplay may be too advanced for you. While I could talk you through the things that would need changing in your CS, the level of writing is not up to the standard required, and I'd hate to waste your time anymore than I have already. I'd be more than happy to give constructive criticism for you in regards to the future, but I won't be able to accept anything of the level you've offered. Thank you for applying, and best of luck in your future writing endeavours. :)
@HushedWhispers

Potentially interested. I've been looking for a laid-back casual roleplay to post in - a shame the other one had to close! I'll get to work on a CS, but I was wondering what sort of plot you'll be running here? Or is it just lectures, partying, and fights between the rich and poor? Either works for me. Oh, and I think what @nightmare eyes was saying is that OCD is a mental illness, not a personality trait. (:
@Lauder@Vas Khaleen

Apologies for the delay in your reviews guys, been trying to get a hold of my Co-GM but as I understand it, he's busy. It'll be done tonight. :)
Wow, this sure blew up fast didn't it!

Alrighty, I guess I'll start off with an apology to @Vicier. I had no idea that my involvement in this sub-plot would cause such a problem. I figured, "Hey, Sombra's friend is about to die. Maybe locate more friends to help." With no missions given out yet, I didn't see the harm in messaging Genji - nor did @Jacobite, hence why we embarked on the little text message adventure. You made yourself quite clear that we weren't to arrange missions on the side without consulting you in the future, and that lesson was learnt for everyone. However, apparently the situation isn't resolved, because... well, your Co-GM seems to imply that it's a problem that we continued with the plot. We - or at least I, to my knowledge - never received any form of message to edit my post, which I would have been more than happy to do. Now I have no idea what to do, as it's too late to edit anything because I wasn't told outright, and it would be pointless to abandon writing it because that's not how a story works. Seriously, none of us involved intended to mess things up, and I'd be happy to receive direction on what to do to rectify things, as opposed to just repetitive and unfair jabs towards myself and my character, as your Co-Gm has been doing.

I know what happened messed your plans up and pissed you off - as does Jacobite. The lesson has been learnt, as I've already stated in a previous post; we weren't offered any alternatives - such as asking to edit our posts - so we continued with it, knowing to ask about sub-plots in the future. I don't know what else I can offer to settle this argument in the OOC. It keeps being brought up again and again, how many times do we have to say "we understand"?
@MacabreFox

If Leif is Gaston, and Sevine is Belle, then that means Do'Karth is the Beast! *gasp* Are all of his possessions secretly people? What a monster!
@Caits

Pretty sure Vicier herself put a stop to it - and the medical debate - with a post 9 days ago. The one with the cute bird cartoon? Yeah; I figure if the GM chooses not to continue with it, the point has been made, and everyone knows where they stand in the future - ergo, the matter is resolved. I haven't received any messages about the McCree mission from her (no idea about the others) so I assume the matter is dropped. Everyone is getting missions now, and we know not to do side-missions without consulting Vicier in the future. That's been established. The lesson has been learnt.

As for Sombra: "willing to sacrifice friends for her own personal gain." - I've already said it wouldn't be beneficial for her for McCree to die. So... yeah. Sticking to my mexican-hacker guns pretty well I think.

Again, if you want to continue this - PM me. I welcome constructive criticism, as any writer should.
