I can't believe I've stuck myself with three girls for all of next year who think screaming, shrieking and making sex noises consists of banter. -_-

Bio

Howdy all! I figured it was about time I spruced up my bio section. Or, y'know. Wrote something in it other than WIP.

So! Things to know about my mostly-good self:

I'm a 20 year old female, hailing from a not-so-small town in the north east of England. I'm currently about a third through my second year at Uni, and have made some awesome friends there so far. I also debate. That's always fun - arguing has always been an annoying trait (for others, that is) of mine, so putting it into something one can have on their CV is great. The competitions are super fun too. Anyway, roleplaying.

If you've known me for a short or long while, you'll likely know what an absolute slut for fantasy I am. High fantasy to low, I love those kind of roleplays and will nearly always be interested in new ones that crop up. The same applies for Sci-Fi, but at the moment, I'm not feeling inspiration for a good ol' spacefaring RP. Gotta get the Mass Effect out again, get me craving some Turian booty again. However, I won't go for only these ones. SoL can interest me if they're run properly, alongside horror, mystery, romance, etc. I won't ignore something simply because it doesn't have magic or flying bears in it or something. As for level, I like to consider my writing high-casual to low-advanced. Hopefully others will agree with me on that one, haha. Anyway, here's a list of specific fandoms I enjoy, kind of in order of preference:

  • Lord of the Rings Universe (Including The Hobbit)
  • Dragon Age series
  • Elder Scrolls
  • Mass Effect Trilogy
  • Star Trek (I'd love a Discovery one right now!)
  • Star Wars (Specifically the time around the Prequels; while I shan't get into the whole Prequel/Original war on which is better, roleplaying makes for more excitement in the prequel era. Clone Wars guys, c'mon!)
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • Fringe
  • Greek Mythology (PJO, but with the amount of Camp Half-Blood roleplays that have come and gone, I'd prefer one based more on the Original Mythologies)
  • Norse Mythology
  • Marvel
  • Left 4 Dead
  • The Walking Dead (Or any Post-Apocalypse Roleplay, really.)
  • 'A Song of Ice and Fire' Series
  • House of Night Series
  • True Blood
  • Deus Ex
  • Blood Ties
  • The Vampire Diaries (I admittedly abandoned the show and books when the plot got too boring, but I still like the Universe. I'd join a roleplay based in it, if it had original characters, that is.)
  • Pacific Rim

Aaannndd I'll stop the list here before I go on forever. Basically there's a lot, particularly in the realm of fantasy. Hit me up if you want me in your roleplay, of if you'd like to do a 1x1 based around any of those areas, or even some additional ones if you think I'd be interested. I love original plots and Universes too, especially if they're done well.

IC opening is gonna be extended to this weekend, I'm too drained at the moment to post it. At least it means you all have a bit more time to finish your character's up before we start!

@POOHEAD189
Thurin is awesome! Accepted, and you can stick him in the character tab. :)
@Lucius Cypher@norschtalen

You guys got till this Saturday to post (Or to simply tell me why you can't post, for whatever reason), or your character's are getting appropriated.

"Oh... EverGod, have mercy." Were the first whispered words to leave Eòghan's lips as the winged beasts steadily approached the group. While he liked to try and entertain all possible foes and troubles in his future simply for planning's sake, dragons had not been high on that list. Eòghan didn't like dragons. They had a tendency to set things on fire, and the last he checked, he certainly wasn't fire resistant.

"Mallow." His tone was short as he got to his feet; pipe and travelling cloak now discarded next to his bag. "Get them to the ground if you can; I'll find a good spot for jumping." After the amount of time the two had spent together, Eòghan knew he wouldn't have to explain anymore to his Skayleigh companion. At that, he made his way towards the mountains fringing the edge of the cairn; moving fast and silent, his footfalls barely making a sound as he shot past the others in the camp, everyone scrambling for their weapons. Running would do no good for the people here. There was no shelter to run to, and the dragons could easily catch up to anyone foolish enough to flee. Particularly the Dwarves with their stubby legs... which meant they would have to fight. At least long enough to convince the beasts that they were not going to make for an easy lunch, and scare them away with tails tucked between their legs. As for the best way for Eòghan to fight? Against beasts like this, even stealth provided plenty of advantage. If he could get higher than one of them, unnoticed, then the rogue could be untouched by fire as he made his own attack. Hopefully, anyway...

Reaching a jagged precipice sticking out from the left side of the mountain ranges, Eòghan knelt close the rock face, one hand gripping tightly and the other holding his sword. All that could be seen of his face now was a small strip of pale skin, the rest hidden beneath his hood and cowl, and his piercing blue eyes, narrowed in concentration as the dragons grew closer. Hopefully the mountain would provide enough cover - and those below enough distraction - for him to be able to land on one of the monsters. If he could get a decent enough injury to the wing joint, it would go down.

"And me with it." He thought to himself grimly - not even considering the danger the second one could pose. All that mattered was that everyone came out of this safe... and after muttering a quiet prayer to the EverGod, Eòghan felt enough hope that this could be possible. The dragon's roared in the ever-closing distance, reverberating the rock the Kaelian stood on... but he did not balk, nor fear for his life. Fear of what may be would have to wait until after the battle.

@Melandrach

The Battle Under the Trees took place in TA 3019, which means it was 221 years ago from our start date. Elves reach full maturity when they are around 50, but would not be considered a full adult until they reach 100.
@Melandrach

Thanks for the application! Just a few things to clarify before we can accept it.

"Aelchon was born during a dark period in time"
If he's 1000 years old, then he'll have been born during the period of Watchful Peace; with Sauron gone from Dol Guldur, I don't think it would have been considered a dark period.

"...he participated in the Battle Under the Trees...father had been killed in battle. He had been rather young then..."
I would have expected someone of his age to have participated in far more battles than this one. Also, he would have been 779 during the Battle Under the Trees. This is definitely not considered young.

"He is currently considered to be one of King Thranduil's best scouts, and it is usually him who investigates into mysterious occurrences, usually under request from the King himself..."
I find it doubtful that a King would send a single Scout to investigate strange happenings, and to handpick the same scout for these missions is odd. Is there a particular reason why Thranduil trusts Aelchon so much with these scouting missions, beyond the same skill the rest of his scouts have?

Overall, a bit more detail in his backstory would be nice (He has had a long life, after all), alongside some explanations as to why he is considered so highly amongst his peers.

Accepted! Another awesome character. :)

Just a reminder that you've got 3 days before the IC goes live guys, would you be able to check in when you have the chance?

@Lucian
I promise I wasn't ignoring you, I just missed your post at first! Glad to see you like the additions and tweaks we've made - and if you have the time, I'm certain Galador (Or another character of yours) would fit in nicely. :)
@POOHEAD189

It has been a pleasure and honour, as always. :)
