Biography
Georgina was named after her grandmother that she never met. A great start to a life worth of not doing too much in a town that never saw too much action. Thankfully she was born into the age of technology and has the internet and the handful of electronics she owns to keep her busy. When not going to school she tends to get into mischief with her group around town, rather it be going out into the woods or eating burgers and drinking malts at the diner in town.
Gina is closest to her father in the respect of her parents, she admires him for being the head of the family, and always keeping his cool when mom tends to freak out and overreact. She envies her older sister, and tries to avoid babysitting duty at all costs. Not too much family drama can be heard from the Berglund family as far as other residents of Alta Vista are concerned.

• It's crazy how these two ever became friends, with what complete ends of the spectrum they fall on. However, Gina can never show too much appreciation for Erika for keeping her on a steady path. The two may often step on one another's toes but they know deep down that when things get hard that they can rely on one another. They get along best when both are quiet and focused in on painting.
Yuki Fuyuko
"Gentle and sweet, I worry about her sometimes."
• Just like Erika, Yuki is very opposite of the loud and boisterous Gina. Due to Yuki's seizures, Gina often gets worried about Yuki getting hurt while they are all hanging out, especially when they travel far out into the woods. She loves when Yuki's family invites her over for dinner, as they usually have something fun and exciting to try rather than the plain old food Gina's mom tends to make. Yuck!

The two tend to be the loud and obnoxious ones of the group, but they mean well. She doesn't really like when he smokes, and lets him know about it. Gina has gotten in trouble many a time being caught talking on the phone with him way late into the night.

"She's so admirable. I wish I can be more like her."
• These two met when they were about five years old, when their father's agreed it'd be a good idea for them to learn the ropes of horseback riding. Vivian succeeded in the sport while Regina spent most of the time on the ground, crying. Despite the difference in skill the two bonded over the activity and eventually became friends bonding over other shared activities. Out of the girls, these two are most similar, though Regina will admit that Viv is way more intelligent and has a better time connecting with everyone.

In the dusty corners of an old moldy house

Come Out To Play Mahlimae!
Our adventure begins on the first day of winter break in small rural town of Alta Vista, Iowa. Exciting right? A group of 6 young teenagers who spend their time hanging out and getting into trouble when they aren't at school or helping out at the farm at home. With a population of less than 300, everyone tends to know everything.
Perhaps this is why it was so strange when a group of teenagers came across a new creature in the midst of their exploring a old abandoned house at the edge of the forest. They couldn't very well tell their parents that they broke into the house, and who would believe their discovery if they did? The creatures don't speak very clearly, besides a varying pitched 'mahlimae' in response to everything. Did we find a fucking Pokemon?
Despite the multiple questions the group had, they decided they would continue to come and visit the mahlimae at least everyday. They would try to feed them, as well as see if they could find out some more about the strange creatures. It wasn't until the third day that the mahlimae couldn't be found in their usual spot. The group searched high and low and couldn't find the creatures anywhere in the abandoned house.
When everyone got home, that was the night things changed.

• Please submit your character to the OOC before posting to the CS tab to be reviewed. I encourage us to already have relationships (good and bad) towards one another figured out. Our characters have been a group for at least 4+ years. I will allow only 1 person to be "new" to town if that fits your character better :)

These creatures, or as they are called "mahlimae" are little aliens or monsters of a sort that like to grow in moldy, dusty, dirty places. Such as the little abandoned house our group of characters decided to break into and explore. I didn't want to spoil what they look like too much, but I have photos of them of each mahlimae that will be assigned to each character at the start of the role play.
I'm going to randomly assign each mahlimae a side effect, and then the players will choose at random at which one they'd like to have, based on appearance. Depending on what the group direction we'd like to take, these side effects can be as silly as; growing an inch shorter each day, or as serious and scary as your family members passing away one by one.
Things I've thought about but would like input on:
- Can they only be seen by the group?
- What are their purpose for being here?
- Do we have to find a way to get rid of them?
Hope that helped a little, I kind of jumped the gun on this idea as it popped in my head this morning.
