A sharp whistle could be heard from the ceiling as Marion took full attention. The steady voice of Shiba called down, "Hey, he dropped the cross, mind going over to pick it up. Don't worry I got you covered from up here." he stated, and Marion called back in return, "I got it!" Her voice was smooth and low like a woman that knew exactly what she was doing at all times.

Walking around the counter quickly, she went out the doors and squatted down into the dirt where the cross was laid. Looking at it curiously, she dare not touch it yet without a good examination. It appeared to be relatively harmless, a basic cross. "Wonder why he'd leave a lower case T on our front lawn!" Marion called up, teasining inappropriately to Shiba before picking it up and examining it closer. Her jokes were in bad taste, and she often wondered if Shiba would just shoot her in the back of the head one of these days. She turned the cross over and over in her hands. She would give this to Drake when he returned, knowing that he out of anyone would appreciate the gift.

Very suddenly her almond eyes glanced up to be met with a not very tall boy (Mari was around 5ft 2), with his hands raised up. Marion's mouth gaped, as she pulled the cross close to her chest. "Open?" the boy called, and Marion nodded her head, the mess of brown dreads that adorned her head shaking with it. Taking a better look at the boy and his belongings, Mari couldn't help but notice the bag seeping with blood. "We don't take human parts over here." Marion stated as nonchalant as one could say that statement. She made a little smirk, "Not so good to eat once the maggots get em'" she played, looking up at Shiba and placing three of fingers in the air. This signaled that if she didn't hear anything from them within three minutes, something had gone wrong.

"Follow me." Marion cooed, jamming the cross into the side of her black boots, fitting tight against the cuff of her jeans as she made her way around the counter. Leaning down she picked up a very abused table cloth and laid it across the counter. This was to have an easy clean up if the trader's items were on the messier side. Which from the looks of the bags, they were going to be. "Alright, let's see what you got, and you may even get something back in return." she patted the counter, urging the boy to empty out his belongings.
I hate to be the person to suggest this-
But do you think there is anyway we can restart this rp or rejuvenate with new characters?
I love the characters we have, and I want some of the outcomes that have came already (ships galore)
But I do feel like it's trucking along very slowly :( and we lost many people from the start.

Miss Kenny and I are arriving together, via collab post that is slowly coming along.
you boys have to go through me to get to her- so you better be ready for a good ol' interrogating.
Bad habit of mine is to put everything my character says in italics- so there's my thing to look out for. I don't require you guys to do any certain formatting :) Whatever you feel most comfortable with! I read everything from top to bottom thoroughly xD so formatting isn't a big deal for me. As long as I can read it- you're good!!
Ezra

A sharp gasp escaped Ezra's lips as she came to consciousness, her hand reaching towards her side where her pen had been jabbing into her hip. She angled it so it slid correctly into the pocket of her shorts, before her eyes began to adjust to the dark room. "What the.." she whispered harshly. Trying to remember what was going on before she was here. Was she drugged? Kidnapped? She hadn't even done any drugs before her interview in fear that she might have had to done testing on the spot.

The sound of voices chattering was admittedly frightening, and the bodies that seemed lifeless surrounding her was not helping the situation. Gathering strength, Ezra hoisted herself up into a sitting position and eventually got herself standing. She adjusted her clothing, running a hand through her dyed green hair. "What the hell happened?" Ezra demanded, originally not too concerned with how her tone sounded. It was then she noticed the voices were of children that she had some empathy. Her teeth sunk into her lips, before speaking again, "Sorry. language. Are you guys okay?" she asked, trying to make out the situation.
Marion had been placed at the counter of the pawn shop during the funeral procession. She made note to visit the grave site later in the day, but for now she had a duty to watch over things from raiders and looters alike. It wasn't an unlikely thought for The Forgotten to be kicked while they were down, so despite their grieving they had to remain strong.

Her dark brown eyes were sunken, tired. A blank expression plastered on the usual cheerful girl's lips. Sounds of sobbing, and gasps of breath from several children could be heard scattered around the compound. It was enough to make even the hardest soul feel compassion. Mari hadn't lost anyone close to her, but everyone in The Forgotten was still like family, blood by choice.

Suddenly from the store front a man came into view, Marion's stubby fingers gripped the side of the counter top watching as the renowned 'Wandering Priest' came into view and placed a cross on the ground in front of the building. Mari's eyes gazed up to the ceiling, knowing Shiba had been on watch for the same shift as her and hoping he was holding up alright. She knew he was tough, and probably drowning his sorrows in liquor rather than the alternative.

The man walked away as quickly as he came.

Mari's grip around the counter edge loosened and slipped onto a more relaxed position on her thighs.

It would be a very long day.
Great IC posts so far everyone :)

All systems are go

It was a miracle that the ground wasn't covered in at least a foot of snow by now in the quiet town of Alta Vista. Instead, a slight fog paired with a sprinkling of rain came down on the frozen ground, leaving everything around a very dull and dead grey color. For all students, it was the beginning of winter vacation, a week off for the holidays to be spent with friends and family. For these six friends the day had started even earlier. Around 7:00 am they all decided, (somewhat reluctantly) to all wake up on the first day of the break and spend all day with one another. Having breakfast at the diner, they ate happily and started their day off on a bright and cheerful note.

Gaining a bit more energy and after the rain halted, the group decided to go exploring in the forest that surrounded the outskirts of the town. Upon reaching a small clearing appeared a faded yellow home. The windows boarded up, or if not boarded, broken. The siding decrepit and crumbling. The friends looked at one another, varying faces of excitement, curiosity, and worry spread across their face. They had never seen this place before, and they had sworn they had tracked over every inch of that town- twice.

Georgina adjusted the white beanie on her head as she looked to her friends, "You guys wanna take a look?" she asked innocently, as she hopped up the very weak and wobbly steps, almost going right through when she stepped on the termite infested wood. Wiggling the door handle, she pouted. She half expected it to open for her, but of course it was bolted lock.
