Oh gosh. This is a dream come true for plots for me! I'm so in.
Teacher workshop days were a poor excuse for a day off of work.

The kids loved it surely, not having to wake up in the morning and drag their body to a classroom for several hours became a simple blessing. That time that could instead be spent playing kick the can or red rover. Days off were not to be spent crossing your t's and dotting your i's. For Joanne though, it meant she had to go to work and not do any work. She would spend the day in meetings, taking notes and nodding in agreement to her colleagues suggestions of what could be improved in the already perfect system. The kids test scores were above average for the state, Probity was a model idea for how a school could be run and yet they still wanted to see constant improvement.

"Joanne, write that down."

Mr. Jackson, a colleague of Joanne's tapped diligently on her notepad. Simultaneously Jo noticed the dirt under the man's pointer fingernail. He tapped again, what seemed like slow motion as Joanne used her slender fingers to move her belongings out of the man's reach. "I will write it down." she said in a hushed tone. "Good girl." the man said, resting his hand on her forearm and giving it a gentle squeeze.

Tensing up, Joanne's breathing became non-existent for a moment. His grubby little hand removed itself. "Please excuse me." she called, pushing back her chair as she hurried out of the room and went straight for the nearest single stall, staff bathroom. Closing the door, she locked it and turned on the water to the hottest setting the old lead piping could muster. Scrubbing herself with several pumps of soap, she washed, scalded, washed, and scalded again until she felt a bit better about the situation. Eventually she found herself back in the meeting, and then after that she found herself back home in the living room of her parent's home.

Joanne's father sat in his chair, a newspaper open in hand. He turned the pages in silence besides a clearing of the throat now and again. Joanne's mother sat in an adjacent chair, as the two women talked about their days. Both bland, but small talk was all the rage, gossip the main contender of any conversation. "I heard her daughter is being sent away for awhile, you know with the pregnancy and all." Joanne's mother said in a hush tone as if the neighbors or passing car could hear into their home. "Yes, she is being taken out of school, they spoke about it during the meeting." Jo responded, her voice tone matched to her mother's. "It's a shame." They both thought, for their own individual reasons.

A few more words were exchanged before the two were in the kitchen, starting on some food for the company they were expecting.
Agreed with what was said above, our only issue is that you posed the post to us as a "this is what your character did, and this is what they felt doing it" which could be different from everyone. Some of us might find the project a good thing, others a bad thing, some of us woke up in a good mood, some in a bad. Some people might want to be slightly late or slightly early- things happen. ^^

In human form Hadley is five foot two, one hundred and one pounds. In spider form she is smaller than an inch appearing not much larger than a speck of dirt.

Hadley is a young woman with delicate features. Her curly hair and doe eyes are both a light shade of brown, which compliment her pale skin tone. She doesn't tan well in the summer, more prone to sun burn rather than tan or freckles. Hadley enjoys jogging and has a very toned and petite body from head to toe. Despite several compliments from peers she despises her inability to gain weight where it counts. She is very self conscious about her human appearance, wanting to look very well manicured and put together at all times. While Hadley is in spider form she doesn't have much control of her body appearance. She becomes a small spider of a various brown shades with multiple black, beady eyes. She is aware of the distaste of spiders and tries to keep herself out of any interaction with anyone during the stages of transformation.

Hadley was cursed with her woes early on in life when she was happily playing outside beneath the night sky. It was not often that her parents let her go out into the world, but when they did she was very joyful. She was barely five years old when she found a crack in the side of the family's old farm house (It had once been fruitful with crops, but now was out of commission) and she decided to explore. Crouching down her small slender fingers infiltrated the crack and a sharp pain shot through her body. Tears formed in her eyes as she let out a wail. "Papa!" she screamed to the man in the garage only a few feet away. Before her father could reach her the girl had transformed into a small spider. Her father came running, looking for her and had no luck finding her due to her situation.

Hadley was overwhelmed with panic and fear. She didn't know how to get back into her human form. Years went by as the girl learned to survive as a spider. Her parents deemed her kidnapped and searched until their last drop of hope was gone. Hadley found refuge in the corners of her now abandoned farm house. A perfect place for a spider. It wasn't until she was eighteen years old that she became human once again. Through practice and determination she was able to make it back and forth between the two forms, but on occasion when she is upset or scared she reforms back into spider form and hides.

As her childhood home became on the demolition list, Hadley sought out for new homes, transforming only at night as to save a place to stay when she isn't working hard during the day. When news of the doors reopening came to surface, Hadley knew that her only chance to reclaim her life would be at the end of the journey that lay ahead.
Please let me know if my character is just too wild- I ran with my imagination a bit~
