Jin gratefully swallowed the water, feeling it's icy coolness all the way down her throat and in her stomach. She reached up, holding Korlash's hand. "There is... a mushroom. It is..." She blinked several times, obviously trying to keep awake. "It is called... Night of Many Stars..." Her breathing was labored, and her head listed to one side. "It lives... where no light passes. And makes its own light..." She reached out and stroked his cheek. "It banishes... illness... of all kinds." Suddenly, she was trying to will herself into a sitting position, but obviously didn't have the strength. "Korlash... " Her eyes dropped and her lips moved. When she realized she just didn't have the right language, she spoke what she knew. "Yai aeuo... dv... loaeuk." She took his hand and placed it over her heart, then lay her own hand over it. Her eyelids started to drop again as the darkness threatened.

Jin blinked a few times as Alice got up and started running, her chair rattling against Jin's leg. She heaved a sigh, getting up without preamble a few seconds after Jase spoke. "Gotta piss. And get the feeling back in my fingers." She walked out of the room, her ears closed to anyone who would protest. Luckily she managed to catch a flash of the girl's hair vanishing behind the women's bathroom door. She stuffed her hands in her pockets and opened the door, half listening for the telltalle sounds of retching.

"...I don't know anything about doctors. Or babies." She paused, hoisting herself up on the sink counter. "I don't know alot about a lot of feminine shit. But I do know this." Her voice softened. "You shouldn't have to be alone in this. Tell your folks. Unless they're abusive shits, then don't. If... if they freak on you, if you find yourself... y'know, in trouble... I know a lot of people who have been through a lot of bullshit and made it through the other side. I can call in a favor or 3 and get you help." She sighed, yanking about a dozen paper towels from the metal holder on the wall.

"I only wish you had some idea of who did it. That type of stuff deserves the proper response." In this case, castration seemed appropriate. She slid off the counter, and went to the stall, crouching just low enough to hold out the handful of paper towels under the door.

"Wipe up. I saw a water fountain in the hall, too. Puke can wreck your teeth, so... wash out your mouth good."

Jin's sleep was not restful. She tossed and turned, crying out softly on the floor of the cave. Her skin burned her, she wanted her mother to cool it with salve and sing to her. She missed her brothers and sisters- she was ill and so they could not see her, touch her, tweak her ears and tug on her arms.

As Korlash kept giving her water, eventually she fought down the dark and the heat enough to open her eyes again. "..Kor...lash..."

Hmm. Should I wake Jin again, at least to have her tell Korlash about the mushroom?

*soft sigh* Where's Knight? I'm kinda worried... I don't want this RP going down the tubes.

I have an idea for another character... d'you guys think I should try her out?

The Orphan's Wedding

Hmm... I've run into that on various RP sites before. I've learned that most of the time, it has nothing to do with you. People get busy, people get sick, one time I had an RP partner who had to pawn his laptop to pay a bill. Things happen, and 90% of the time, you'll have no control over them.

I only have a few steady partners myself. I RP on lots of different levels, from short paragraphs, to chunks of stories. The RPs all go on different speeds, I use different characters... Most of the time, I have something to post somewhere.

*gives a hug*

Honestly, I want to jump forward in time just a bit with Victor and Kijani's tale. Just a few days or so, until Mr. Bandleman shows up and Kijani goes out amongst the townspeople... Turning heads and shaking things up.

May even introduce another character. We'll see.

Ok, so... I have an idea for Jin's getting cured. A particular kind of mushroom.

Also- Alice is probably on her way back to the kingdom, likely to spread lies about what really happened to the king.

How are we gonna put the elf village in danger of extinction?

Also, where's the giant wolf that Korlash was riding? I want the wolf back..
