*nod* Yeah, I like it too. ^__^
I actually had that name for her in the past, but it doesn't have the right sound too it. Too... wimpy.

But in the future, she either goes by Origami (obvious) or Archive. (Because she has a skill that I don't think I've revealed yet.)
Aw. *pats gently* I agree, it wasn't too exciting. Which is a total shame, because everything else I liked... The commercials were pretty good this year and the halftime show was fun.
Jinny nodded, and headed where he'd directed her. Her stomach was twisting with nervousness as she silently treaded the yard, keeping her eyes and ears open for any danger. This was so much scarier than sneaking food from the kitchen. She hoisted herself over the next gate, as it was locked, but low enough for her to get over with a bit of acrobatics. She planted one foot in the middle of the gate, pushed off and swung her other leg over, before landing neatly on the other side. Then she checked the hinges. They were old, and looked rusty, probably ready to creak. "This gate is noisy." She whispered to Mr. Josh, grip still careful on the gun. "Jump over, it'll be quieter."
I'm all caught up and posted!
Kijani had learned quite a bit over the past several days. She'd been picking up sign language and Mandarin, both languages fighting for purchase in her ever busy mind. More importantly, she was starting to come through with her fighting- after seeing Sue's awesome performance, she'd been inspired. Between books, videos, music and class, she was starting to blend the tai-chi she already knew with the Wushu she loved, and the capoeira that was growing on her. Oddly enough, she was gaining weight- muscle, in fact, as she replaced one night of reading with a workout. Her weightlifting (or lack thereof) had embarrassed her, and she hated being embarrassed. In her Espionage class, she was learning subtlety and strategy, and in her Ancient Weapons course, she'd found her weapon of choice. A lightweight, double-edged Chinese Jian. It was a one-handed blade and not meant to be slicing everywhere, but to be an extension of the body and used with grace and elegance.

She still hadn't decided on an alias yet, but that would come hopefully with time.

There were so many things she wanted to put in motion. She wanted to become better friends with Sue and some of the others. She was also planning a covert operation involving Anthony Luthor... (How did you ask a teacher about seduction techniques without becoming completely embarrassed?) But all in due time, she still had the rest of the year. All in all, she was learning quick.

Now they were in Martian Manhunter's class, and she was eager to show what she'd been learning. Some of that eagerness dropped off, however, when she found out they were facing the Hulk. Talk about a learning curve.

Kijani was ready, still, though, and so far unafraid. "I agree, we've got to get him out of the way of all these buildings. I've been working on evasion and dodging..." She'd also been experimenting with various forms of paper weaponry. Today's choice: paper blending sticks. Normally used for art and charcoal smudging, in her hands they became sharp and sturdy tools for stabbing. She'd figured out how to shoot them through the air. "I can get him after me. He's big, but clumsy... he won't touch me." Confidence was key, now was no time to be afraid.
*yaaaaawn* What'd I miss? Sorry I was out yesterday... I hope things haven't got too far?
What'd I miss? Also Knight, does Mimic still have to talk to Kijani about whatever?
Alright! Glad you enjoyed yourself.
Kijani is prejudiced against telepaths.. the only reason she let Prof. Xavier in is because she knew she wouldn't have been able to stop him. (Also he has a position of authority.)
