Connor sat down gently beside Kijani, listening as she spoke. "It's not stupid to have nightmares." He said softly "nightmares are very much real. Yes, the come from your imagination, from your fear...but maybe in some way they are real. Especially in a school like this. There has to be some side effects of living here, with so many people with powers." He sighed "there's nothing wrong with feeling fear. But you have to talk about it, or it will just get worse and worse. There is nothing wrong with having nightmares. one out of every two adults has nightmares on occasion." He fel as if he couldn't comfort her, so he slowly fell silent, wishing he could just make everything better

Kijani laughed and shook her head. Quietly, she leaned against Connor, pressing her cheek against his chest. "Talk about it, huh?" She let out a breath of a sigh, and just started talking, before she could psych herself out of it. "I was in a dark place. I was naked, and there were lights on me. They were so bright that they burned. I couldn't move." She flinched and clutched her side. The scar pain was flaring up just thinking about it. "I saw my parents, and my grandmother, and Anthony, and you... One by one you walked away. None of you wanted to help me, even though I begged." She shut her eyes, starting to tremble. "It was clear that I was alone, and no one cared, and I was going to die by myself, in pain..."

Nicholas slowly took the notepad form his hand taking a quick look at the names of the people on the notepad,He found a few good subjects but the question was would the school allow such things."I don't think the teachers nor the students would want me to do my little experiments on them...so i would have to find some way to conceal my work form any prying eyes" He put the syringe down on the table beside the rat cage.

Devika peeked at the notepad as well. If Nicholas was really going to experiment on people without their knowledge, that really wasn't okay. There had to be some way to stop him without tipping him off...

"I'll do it." The words were out of her mouth before she really thought it through. Once they were in the open, though, it made sense. "I mean, I deal with emotions on a daily basis. Mine, others... I would probably be able to take a lot more than anyone else. I'm also good at calming myself down, just in case things go south. If you're looking to make your fear gas really potent, it'd have to be strong enough to take me out." She grinned, a touch of pride in her eyes. "Good luck with that."

*nod* It's okay. I tried to provide you a sort of nudge, but let's see what we can do.

*thinks a bit* As I was saying before... if she traveled the world, she was probably doing it alone. The world can be scary if you're alone and female. So maybe she got into trouble and her innate skills came into play. Being immune to telepathy would be a more tricky one to discover...

But poisons are everywhere. It doesn't even have to be a direct threat from another person. Maybe she gets bitten by some deadly snake, or scorpion, or spider. When she doesn't die, people take notice, and eventually someone points her toward the school with all the fledgling supers.

*reads over things, raises eyebrows* Well. I apologize, Kira. *feels kinda ashamed* I have been corrected, and I will do the research myself before making judgements.

I had no idea that Harley got immunities from being close to Poison Ivy, and that Deadpool's regen factor makes it hard to poison or break his brain. (I honestly thought it was the craziness that would make him hard to hypnotize...) Good work for doing the research into the character.

I still have to ask about 3, though. You said she searched for people 'like her'- but I'm still unsure of what that means. Was she searching for orphans? Or people who were just... strange? I mean, if she doesn't have an obvious power... Perhaps that's something to think about? Maybe on her world travels, she got into trouble. Maybe someone tried to poison her and it just didn't work at all, leading her to question her parenthood. The same could be said for telepathy...

Also that's a neat dye job.

Okay, the third question I mentioned above is the only one that I think needs a bit more expanding- beyond that, I'm fine.

Also, I can't remember who I was talking to, but we were discussing a school-wide event that would put all the people posting on the same page. Some of us are getting lost or are unsure of what to post.

So I was thinking that they would have a talent show! A "No Powers" talent show. We're talking singing, dancing, stand up comedy, goofy stuff like that. What do you think?

Devika tilted her head, watching calmly. "Well, it certainly looks scared." She took several steps back to make sure she wasn't ruining his tests. Animals did not like her at all, and she couldn't be sure that the rat was doubly scared because she was in the room. "If I could ask a question, Nicholas... How do you know the rats aren't responding to the mask, instead of the gas? I mean, it's kind of freaky all on it's own. Maybe you need to do some test runs without the mask, to make sure you're not adding in an extra variable or something."

Okay. Questions for you, Kira.

1. Why is she immune to toxins/telepathy? Neither Harley or Deadpool have either of those things.

2. I understand that she has an innate talent for martial arts, but does actually she know any?

3. Does she know who her parents are? You said she was dropped off as a baby- they obviously didn't return for her. So without actual powers, why would she suddenly go to a school for heroes/villains? It's just not adding up.

4. (This is just me being picky). Is her hair dyed red and black like that? Because it can't be natural- Harley's blonde and Deadpool... *tiny frown* I don't even know if he has hair, I don't think I've ever seen him without the mask.

Connor caught Kijani, regaining his balance from being yanked inside. He nudged the door shut, and then just leaned against it with Kijani, wrapped his arms around her. He stood there patiently with her, silent, just waiting for her to speak. Apart from the bookcase, there didn't appear to be any sign of a fight, so he was sure that that wasn't it. He looked over at the device, wondering how she had done it, but didn't ask, as she seemed distressed. "Well, you seemed to have broke it safely, except for the bookcase. We can fix the book case easily enough if it's broken. Are you okay?" He asked

Kijani let out a short laugh. "Define okay." She ran her hand across her face, looking outright exhausted. It seemed sleep hadn't helped at all. "...I had a nightmare. I get them, sometimes, but they're usually about Alpha. This one was..." She flinched, and shook her head. "Awful." She sat on the edge of her bed, rubbing at her eyes. "I'm like a stupid child... I know nightmares are not real, they're just a product of the imagination. But the... the fear I felt in it was... very much real."

He said walking to a small lab with things like beakers and what not,Although he sort of lied he did use his dead gas but on a bully named Jim Kazer.

Devika tucked her hands behind her back, looking over the small lab. She wasn't any good at hard sciences, so most of that was useless to her. Seeing the cage of rats in the area, she stepped closer to it. When she was almost close enough to touch the cage, the animals started scrambling around with wild energy, squeaking and basically being terrified for their little rat lives. Devika stopped short, sighing. "...great." She'd always wanted a pet as a child, but she had yet to find an animal that didn't panic at her being within five feet of it.

Haha. My characters sometimes have talents, but they're too shy to show off.

Kijani would be all over it, usually, but... *thinks* Maybe, just maybe... yes, that will work nicely.
