Devika shook her head. "You don't want to do that, Nick. Attacking a teacher? You'd probably get your ass kicked, expelled, and then arrested and tossed in some facility somewhere. You're new here, so I think you should at least show up to class. I mean, that IS why you're here, right? Schools are for learning." She gave him a sideways look. "I mean, honestly. If all you want to do is perfect what you already know, you could have obviously gone elsewhere for that." A faint smile tugged at her lips. "I mean, I understand if you don't think you can fight. But... well, that's what school is for. To learn new stuff that you didn't think possible."

"Yeah." Kijani examined the rebuilt bookcase, then calmly set the books back with her powers. As the bookcase didn't collapse, she turned to the mirror and tried to neaten herself up some. "...alright, then." She grabbed her bag and smiled. "Let's go."

Not sure what Devika could do. I don't think she's got the confidence to be on stage...

As for Kijani, I have an idea. Not sure how well I can pull it off. We will see.

"I can still smell you, Flood! You can't mask that!" She called after him as he left, then stretched slowly, shaking off the physical feelings of fear. Standing up, she brushed the dust from her clothes and smiled. "Come on, Nicholas. I'll show you where to go." She headed out of the classroom and made sure Nicholas was following.

"Mimic is the teacher for Power Development. He's kind of an asshole, but what can you do..." She shrugged a bit. "Also I'm pretty sure he still doesn't like me after I made him have a breakdown the first day here."

"I could do those things, yes..." She grabbed one of the shelves, and started to fit it back in. "However, I really don't want to give Mimic, or any other adult, any excuse to come checking up on me. I guess I'll go with you. It'll be easier."

Devika made sure she inhaled a good bit of it, and felt the telltale signs of fear starting to course through her body. Her breath quickened, her heartbeat rose, her teeth clenched. But...

"I know the feeling of fear. My breath is fast, my heart is thundering. My muscles are going tight." She opened her eyes, and they were completely normal. Her voice was calm as well. "The reaction is very... chemical, but I don't actually feel any fear in my head. Just my body." A faint shrug lifted her tense shoulders. "Maybe it's not strong enough for me. I'm certainly not hallucinating anything, either."

Flood walked around closing all the blinds and anything that might alert anyone of human experimentation. "Just to let you guys know, the room isn't exactly soundproof. If you scream, people will be coming. If people are coming I will be jumping out the window. I'm not getting caught." Flood warned them.

"Understood. If it comes to that, you should bail too, Nicholas." She gestured to him, as she eased herself into the chair and exhaled slow, relaxing her muscles in rapid succession. "Leave me here. I'm the good girl sort, you know. No one will suspect me of anything, and I can easily explain away a scream." Winking at them both, she then closed both eyes and leaned against the chair, relaxed. "Ready when you are."

Jin's smiled faltered as the alarm went off. Damn. Horrible timing, but then criminals weren't known for politeness, now were they? She bolted from the main room before Black Canary could start speaking, to the garage to retrieve and don her costume and gear from her bike. Leaving her motorcycle to warm up, she moved out for the main room again. She snapped the pink goggles over her eyes and the belt around her waist, pushing her hands into her gloves on the run. With a motion of her fingers, a pink light threaded through the electronics, and her orbs lit up in sequence. Thank goodness she was so obsessive about keeping her equipment in working order. Even in her off time, at least an hour a day was spent cleaning, calibrating and testing her weapons. She'd come up with a few new tricks during their hiatus as well- and as she heard Black Canary go over the basic plan, she exhaled slow, and smiled.

The excitement of her teammates, old and new, was catching, and she let out a whoop of her own, punching her fist in the air. Her eyes lit white-silver behind her goggles, and her orbs floated off her belt in response. "Let's go crack open this blockhead!"

Connor rose, but stepped aside when Kijani sent the books towards her. He smiled, before going over to the book case. He studied it, trying to work out the best way of returning it to its upright position, "You're powers a part of you. You should probably avoid using it in front of the teachers though-aren't you still meant to be blocked?" He said, looking over

"Yeah. You're right. I know how to keep it hidden, but... It's just nice to have it at all." She left the books in neat stacks on the floor. "We have class with Mimic soon, don't we? I really don't want to go. But I guess I should. To keep up appearances, and all that."

"I've got a good spot." Flood interjected as he got up and began walking. He led them to an abandoned class room that looked like it hadn't been used in a while. He opened the door and walked in.

Devika grinned in response, showing dimples in her cheeks, when she got the tiny smile from Nicholas. That was a nice reward. She took her snacks and followed Flood, looking around the classroom. It was a bit dusty, but it would do. Running her gloved hand over a chair to wipe it off, she settled down. "...Alright, gents. What do I do? Also, we've got Power Development in a bit." She gave Nicholas a sympathetic look. "It kinda sucks for people who don't really want to go the hero or villain route, or don't have really strong powers. But it's mandatory, and I don't want to get in trouble."
