This sounds quite interesting. I love playing around in fresh universes. I may give you more than just a paragraph, depending on my mood, but you can give what you like, I'm not at all picky.

Making it fire proof, that's harder to do. Will take a while to find the right chemical construction to do that" he mused, already thinking on it. "I'll see if I can get some of the water proof stuff. I can probably come up with something" his voice sounded eager now."But" he said looking at her "it's your idea. So you have to help"

"Help? Me?" She looked surprised. Didn't geniuses like working alone? Though he already sounded like there were gears turning. "Sure, I- I guess. If you really want me to." She checked her watch. "Oh, crap. We'd better hurry. I hate being late... Come on." She snagged an apple and started off at a light run toward the gym. While she still didn't enjoy the class, she'd certainly made her peace with it. It helped that she was in better shape than she'd ever been in her life.

Ah. We could work within the same concept without doing the exact things as the Dresdenverse? That way you don't have to remember or reread a lot of stuff.

Kijani nodded a bit, not realizing what she'd reminded him of. But she carried on talking, while mildly wondering how he could put away food like that... maybe it was a guy thing. "So I had this idea the other day during Mimic's class." She started to wind a dreadlock around her fingertip. "Paper, as a tool, as a lot of weaknesses, even when I'm using it. If it gets too wet, or it burns... well, it becomes pretty useless to me. I know it's more in the realm of chemistry, but... do you think some kind of protective laquer could be created to proof it? I figure I'd ask, you're the smart one." Well, him and Anthony, but Anthony was so arrogant that she'd hesitate to ask him for a glass of water in the desert. "Could you come up with something like that?"

Kijani shrugged lightly at his question, wandering back in the direction of the cafeteria to talk with Connor. "Uh... it's been okay. Training and all that. Creating my own martial art. It's fun." She rubbed the back of her neck, just realizing she'd never had a long conversation with one of her classmates. Unless she counted Sue, but that was less talk about herself and more instruction about capoiera. "How's the engineering going? Blow anything up recently?"
