Kijani was delighted, she had to admit. She hadn't known Flood could play the guitar like that. The holograms were a nice touch. And then Katherin went all Ice Queen, building a beautiful castle out of ice. She applauded for both of them, and knew she was on next.

In addition to her white and gold costume, Kijani put on a golden cape, one that covered her showy costume. She grabbed a toy sword that she'd made out of different sorts of sparkling paper. It was the right weight as her actual blade, so she would be able to move with it properly. The applause died down as she was announced, and she took her place.

The music began, with a soft flute. She moved, her body flowing and elegant, passionate and smooth, going from motion to motion as her body and face told a story. Deep, palpable pain, at one point she was on her knees, pleading to the sky as if begging for something. Finally, she curled up into a tiny ball after three minutes, as if in defeat.

And then the music shifted, going up in tempo and adding a beat. Suddenly she sprang up and threw the cape off, revealing the sword at her back. There was a smile of triumph on her face. Now she truly danced, fast and spinning on her toes. She leapt and dropped low, and kicked, the sword following her every motion. She did backflips, one after the other. Finally she flung her sword high, leaping and flipping across the stage. She ended with a twist into a no-handed landing, a full split. Her arm went up and she caught the blade in one smooth motion, and then song ended.
-_- Rhyming a word with the same exact word does not make one a poet.
*rolls eyes, goes to untie Exodus* Did you get kidnapped by life again? *yanks out the gag*

*siiiiiiiiiiiighs, headdesk*
Wow. I listened to about 15 seconds of that song and felt my brain leaking out of my ears.

In other news, Gotham is a really, really freaking good show. I'm pretty sure I have a crush on Fish Mooney. This crush would likely get me killed. But I love bad girls just as much as bad boys.
Name: Jinayah Ifriti
Alias: none yet
Age: 18
Appearance: 5'0, petite, black hair worn short and shaggy. Tends to pass for a young male when it suits her- which is most of the time.

Faction: Merry Men (she hopes)
Occupation: Pickpocket, freelance mechanic, runner
Bio: Jin had a rather normal life until she was about five. Her parents, who worked in the justice system, were killed by a criminal that her detective father put away years ago. Little Jin escaped because the criminal didn't know she existed.

Jin was heavily damaged by the event, and spent the next several years in and out of the foster system.

The loss of her parents made her terrified to connect, which made any potential new families hard pressed to deal with her. When she wasn't struggling through school or staying awake at night, she was between foster homes. The holding house for the foster children was a joke- Jin continued to sneak out over the years. Pickpocketing was easy when she was young, and had tiny hands. Soon enough, she moved onto conning tourists and playing the adorable lost child- an easy distraction for older thieves to work with. They taught her the finer points of lying and quick steals, and Jin felt far more comfortable on the street than in any house. Still, a part of her gripped tight to her faded memories of her parents. Knowing full well stealing was against the law, she tried to make up for it by giving away a portion of her proceeds to younger, hungrier children, those who couldn't make it without help.

She grew into an unsure, androgynous teenager, and managed to barely graduate high school before unceremoniously being dumped from the system after her 18th birthday. Now she's on her own for real, fixing cars and appliances, fixing card games and swiping wallets, and wondering if this is the rest of her life.

Personality: Sharp tongued, slow to trust, energetic, but with a deep (and sometimes illogical) hatred for rich people. Also has a definite geeky side when around cars or devices, like a kid in a candy store, if candy was gears. Seems unsure of herself without the tough street girl personality.
Skills/abilities: Pickpocketing, parkour (though she's never heard the term, what she does is more or less the same), agility, mathematics, mechanics
Family/Loves Ones?: When she lost her parents, she told herself she'd never care for anyone again. So far she's kept that promise.
Other: Apparently in Robin Hood lore, there's always one character for the "Saracen" role. Basically that was the term for Arabian people, or those of dark skin... I guess Jin suits this role.

Alright! Jin is all done and awaiting approval.

Also, the only thing I liked about Arrow was Slade. Mmm... I do love a bad boy. The accent helps. I cared more about the 'bad' guy than the main character. Oliver Queen bored me to tears.

Hmm... Well, I would say not be a total "bad guy" because they will rarely get time to post, since this won't be a RP that will always be running and shooting and stealing, you know? If more people are Merry Men, then it'll give your character time to develop as the inexperienced but talented hacker

^_^; She's not a hacker. She'd be more apt to build a computer than break into one. I'll work on her, then. *goes to write*
Who's up next for the talent show?
Who's up next for the talent show?
Which would be better for the RP, though?

Someone who steals and sells info?

Or someone who is talented at thieving but lacks experience?
