WIZARDS
Kijani walked with them, noticing Connor's shakiness but deciding not to mention it. She wouldn't know what to say in the first place. "Yeah... I wonder who did it." That pipe hadn't burst by accident. Someone must have intervened. "Connor... the way you stood up for yourself in there." She stared at her wet, squeaking sneakers as she spoke. "It was pretty awesome. I mean... you look like the easily pushed around type, but you sure don't act like it." A smile lit her eyes. "It was awesome to watch."
"Men are more prone to allowing themselves anger and aggressive feelings above all others. It's just the way they've been trained. Women are more free with their emotional range, but they can be just as violent." Devika kept her voice calm. "Do you want me to... help? Or would you like to just continue the breathing?" She could remove some of the building anger from Kalinda and get it out more easily.
Kijani watching the fight and ready to step in, when suddenly she was soaking wet and covered in dust. "Agh! What the hell, man! These were my good pants..." She hated wet clothes, and her temper seemed to wash away steadily with the water. "Ugh..." She joined Connor silently and gave him an appraising look. "Let's get going before that sociopath starts up again."
Devika felt it too, the steady pressure of growing anger and violence. But she was from a pretty busy city- if she hadn't learned early how to block out violence, she would have been in trouble. But she lay a hand on the girl's shoulder, making sure to touch skin instead of clothing. "Breathe in slow, through your nose. Count eight, and then let it out slow again. Count eight." Her voice was low and calm.
Kijani wiped the blood from her cheek and shuddered, and then just made a noise of pure confusion as John easily picked her up and set her aside. She was getting ready to make him pay for treating people like crap and getting no answer for it. But then, Austin stepped into the fight. She, unlike Connor, was quite happy someone was going to do it, and she wanted to help. "I've got your back, too, Austin! Kick his ass!"

Estella's voice in her head she quickly blocked away, by starting to recite War and Peace in her head, verbatim.
Oh, this is going to get bad... Kijani's fast but if John does manage to restrain her, even with the therapy- she will freak out. *thinks about that* Cafeteria's full of paper napkins and probably plates too.
Kijani narrowed her eyes, and twisted her hand in a subtle motion, making the paper napkins fly back into John's face with the force of a brick. "You're a sociopath, you know that?" She paused, one finger to her chin in an exaggerated pose of thought. "Oh wait, I doubt you can comprehend the word. Let me break it down so you get it." She stepped away from Connor, closer to John. "You. Are. A. Soul. Less. Piece. Of. Shit." Her smile got more wicked. "Was that simple enough for you?"
"Yeah, my parents are awesome. They even managed to get me in here, though I don't know how." She shrugged. "I guess even super-people need a good lawyer."
Kijani was starting to get very angry, very quickly. While she hadn't dealt directly with a physical bully, she'd dealt with mental bullies all her life. She hated it. Someone needed to take this idiot down a peg. "Hey! Meathead!" The words were out of her mouth before she could stop them, and she was stepping forward.

"Do you always treat your betters like garbage? That's no way to show respect!"
"Lucky you." Devika murmured. "My mom's... normal. So is my father." She was adopted, but didn't want to mention that to a stranger. "But they roll with the punches, so they learned how to help me."

Have you tried giving sleep presents, or inviting her to a party? That might kickstart a friendship.

Sleep is a fickle bitch. >>;
Kijani got up and went to the edges of the growing crowd, watching Connor. Well, well. Don't underestimate the quiet ones... She didn't know he had that kind of ballsiness. But then he backed down, which was probably a good idea. Getting into a full-fledged fight with another student was probably enough to get him expelled, even if his dad was famous. Still, she was quite intrigued to watch him stand up for himself.
Devika laughed softly and shook her head. "Ugh, don't I know it! I was such a hermit as a teenager, because I couldn't keep my power under control. My parents had to do some creative storytelling, about some sort of allergy or something that prevented me from going to class in high school. The last time I went, I was 15 and I got picked on because I was fat- I made them cry. A lot. Didn't even touch them." She was still fat, but it had solidified into heavy, feminine curves that got her more appreciative looks nowadays. "So.. yeah, I'm a little wary about the younger set."
All Kijani saw was a tray go flying at John. That made her smile, because the big lump probably had it coming for some reason or another. And then someone else got into it, and she already saw several boys getting ready to join.

"Are you serious?" She muttered softly. "I thought food fights only happened in bad 90's movies..."

Devika nodded a bit. "Well, I know age isn't such a big deal. It's just that I came from a university so I'm sort of used to hanging out with a crowd that's my age." Though she'd probably take a younger person who understood, than an older person who had no clue.
