Devika sighed softly, pushing back her hair. "It's not a spell, it's a charmed item." She tapped the thick bracelet around her wrist. "It was one of the first spells I mastered. My power doesn't turn off unless I'm unconscious." Her eyes followed him, turning her head as he circled her. "I haven't been without it for... well, a long time. My power only gets stronger. I... I don't know if I can even handle what you want me to do." She wasn't too sure that it was a good idea, not at all.

Heya. Owlet isn't dead as far as I know. Things are about to happen as far as plot (finally!)

We did lose a few people. But things are kinda slow currently. KL is going through some personal stuff, so he handed the reins to Sam.

"Nick, Nick hang o- Aaagh!" Devika dropped the knocked out muscle-man, and moved forward. Before she could get far, pain shot through her head like a bolt of lightning. "Aa-aah!" She'd used too much power, too quickly. It felt like her head would explode from the inside. Everything went white, and then she collapsed in a semi conscious heap. She was awake, but she couldn't move. "N... nggh... Goddammit..." She tried to lift her head, but only managed to look as the strange man escaped with her friend.

Kijani took a seat as well, poised and confident. To think she'd ever considered the fact that she was not worthy! How silly. "My name is Kijani, sir." She would leave it at that. Flood hadn't given him more than a name, so she would keep her own connections and abilities a secret for the time being. Best not to give too much for free.

Devika took a look up as a very large man stepped in front of her. He looked like a cautionary tale against steroid, to be honest. Muscles to the point that it was slightly disgusting. "Tch. I bet you can take a punch... but can you handle true pain?" She rushed him, knowing he'd probably just defend physically. Stripping her glove while running, she clamped her hand down on the man's massive forearm and held on tight. Then she released the fear- all of it. It felt like water leaving her, honestly, the cold and clamminess moving from her as if she were vomiting. "I hope you never sleep with the lights off again!" She had to get to Nick. Had to.
