At seeing the crowd of capable looking folk crowded around the notice board, Kijani frowned and went to take a look. She was a tall woman, about two inches from a full six feet, so she could see through most of the crowd once she pushed her way in a bit.

The notice that held center attention was quite striking. The paper was thick and rich, and in bold ink was written "REWARD!!!"

A good start.

"Brave, brilliant fighters needed to slay the great Shifting Beast! It takes many forms and will be a challenge for even the best warriors in the land! We implore you to become a hero of the people!"

The notice went on to give the location of the town in trouble. It was less than half a day's ride, to the northeast. Kijani noticed that it didn't have any detail on the actual reward, but that was usual. It would be a stupid thing to put on a public notice, the fact that there were riches and the location of said riches. It was like painting a target on your neck and walking onto a battlefield.

It was the last part of it that really caught her attention. Hero of the people. An intensely bold claim, but one that intruiged her more than anything else. Rewards were fleeting, any amount of gold could run out... But a name, but fame, but praise went on and on. They wrote songs about heroes, created stories, erected statues. She wanted that more than any treasure. She wanted to walk into a town with cheers surrounding her, and flowers thrown at her feet!

Kijani abandoned all thoughts of getting a bedmate for tonight. She would travel at first light. Once she was famous, men would line up at her doorstep for just a kiss! With a growing excitement, she rushed back to the inn and prepared for bed. Tomorrow, she would ride toward fame!
Kijani listened to Headmaster Batman, her face showing no real emotion except when he paused. She wondered what he knew. It could be so many things. She already figured he knew her relation to Waller, but she couldn't discern if he knew the status of that relationship. Honestly, she wasn't okay with anyone knowing at all. Connor knew, which was something she still wasn't great with... and then there was Anthony's knowledge. It made her ill that they'd seen her weakness...

Once they were dismissed, she left quietly. She went to the girl's bathroom, looked herself in the mirror, and smiled proudly. "Far too easy."

After washing up, she went to see where Connor was.
Devika thought toward the strange looking woman. -We need medical attention, and a quiet room.- Her thoughts had an undercurrent of chaos, like being in a crowd of people, in a ball of noise with no one thing being discernible. -Quickly.-

Her hand made smoothing motions on Kalinda's forehead, and she gently withdrew what spare emotion she could, storing it away now that she was calm.
Kijani leaned forward in the chair, pushing a hand through her hair. "I thought it would benefit me." She shrugged a bit. "I had just come from my performance when things went wrong. I was unarmed, and wearing nothing that I could fight in. Things went to chaos quickly, and I... I hate..." Her mouth pressed in a thin line. "I hate being powerless at any time, and I was in that moment. I figured if I went willingly, then I could figure out a way to return."

Some of it was true. Some of it was so true that it was uncomfortable. At no time had she told a blatant lie... it was all about the spin. Even though her grandmother considered her useless, Kijani had learned well.

By the time Kalinda started to lock away the emotion, Devika was starting to recover. She managed to bring herself to a sitting position, before Kalinda started dropping. Without having the space to think, Devika moved, catching the other girl and preventing her from getting a concussion or breaking something on the ground. "...I'm sorry." She murmured, smoothing Kalinda's hair and checking her pulse. It was rare that she ever willingly touched someone, but right now she felt numb. Even her voice sounded wrong, inhuman. "Someone help, please! We need a medic and two stretchers."
Uh... it's in the process of being revamped. The GM is going through some personal stuff, though, so it hasn't happened yet. If you want in, I guess you bookmark this thread and keep an eye out for updates.

It went really well, plotwise. It was the issue of people dropping out without warning that killed it.
Uh.. who's in charge of Clark? He kinda has Flood and Kijani. Whoever it is would need to deliver them to the headmaster, so he can ask whatever and then we can move forward...
Kijani and Flood are with Superman, heading toward a mental battle with Bruce Wayne...

Meanwhile Kalinda just helped Devika stop using an emo-nuke on the school, and she passed out.

Everyone else, I'm not fully sure.
The Titanpad doesn't seem to work for me lately. I keep posting in the chat when people are there, but there's never any response.

*nod* Alright, that's definitely looking more like a student.

2 things, though: We have Thor teaching an ancient weapons class in the school. Like, anything before the invention of gunpowder.

Also, what does 'language of the heart' mean? Does it mean that when Orin talks, everyone can automatically understand him, regardless of what languages they actually understand? Because that is kind of an awesome minor superpower. ^_^; I have a character who I'm still working on, that has this power in reverse. He can understand any language.

Oh! One more thing! /Uncle

Kylix is playing the daughter of Loki. So... yeah. You all should talk, because there is SO much potential for interaction there.
