"Just a moment." Stepping into the shadows of a building, Mirage let out a slow exhale, and activated a spell on her staff. The whole thing lit with vibrant life, and then it vanished out of sight. So did her costume, leaving her in a yellow sundress printed with little dolphins. Her hair was black instead of white- that was an illusion of it's own. Kassy loved her white hair, but Dimitri had pressed her to disguise herself better. She had a unique look; people would come after her and she wasn't as nearly lethal as he was.

She stepped out, rubbing her hand gently. "Better. I will remind you of the eggs, and I need some fresh fish, myself." She liked the grocery markets. Imagine someone taking the time to clean and gut the fish before selling it! Humans were very innovative. "Oh, and those little sweet-grapes with the juice inside." The grapes she was used to were dark, and sun-dried with spices.
Mirage said nothing to the woman at first. She only tightened her hand on her weapon when the woman began to yell. Once she realized that the woman was just angry and not at all dangerous, she let Pulse handle it in his own way. Once Pulse was storming off, she approached the woman and bowed politely.

"Ma'am, I do understand your concern, but I believe you would be a bit more disappointed if no one were to frequent the boardwalk at all, for fear of being robbed. Wood is replaceable. People's trust... is not." She inclined her head in a polite nod. "Besides, I have researched. The city has it's own insurance against 'battle damage'. Many cities with active heroes go this route for this purpose. It will not fall to your pockets. Do try to have a nice day." She turned as well, with much less annoyance than Pulse had. Halfway out of earshot, she turned and called over her shoulder.

"Perhaps sit on the beach and listen to the sea. It will calm you if you listen to it." With that, she ran off to get to Pulse.

"Burgers sound good, my friend." She had no idea how Pulse managed stocks. To be honest, that was still a concept that was foreign to her. It had taken her long enough to understand the concept of money. However, she had her own income, one that Pulse didn't know about. Their house was large enough that they could have their own private spaces. Sometimes Kassy was not in hers...
@Aro

*perks up* I would like that very much! How do we start?
*tilts head* I would love to get a micro of Kijani... Who makes them?
Mirage had enough time to shoot Pulse a look, one that clearly said 'seriously?' before the fight started. She took the criminal's blows on the forearm, easily blocking his wild swings. Once he was done flailing at her, she shifted her weight and hit him. One fist high to the temple, the next on the jaw. The last was pointed up at his nose, and with a groan and a thump like a sack of wet sand, the crook was down.

Frowning, Mirage looked at her hand. "...fool got his blood on me." She stepped on the unconscious thief's chest, and wiped the blood on his shirt. There was plenty more anyway, his nose was bleeding all down his chin.

"Well. I think that wraps it up, don't you?" She yanked her staff free in one motion, and winced. "I think he may have actually bruised me." Showing him her forearm, she activated a spell with her staff, turning the sand around the criminals into solid earth, and imprisoning them where they lay.
"I am." Kijani held out the broom to him. "I suppose you've been informed of that a bit late. You must be Leon. A pleasure to meet you." She stuck out her hand. Her nails were short, but manicured and buffed to a shine. Either she'd worn gloves while traveling, or she'd done her nails at some point. In fact, all of her seemed remarkably put together for someone who had presumably sent the day travelling.

Kijani was a bit obsessive about her appearance, hating to be thought of as dirty or disheveled in any way. Meeting the son of the adults who were boarding her was an occasion where she needed to make the best impression.

"I apologize for..." She searched for a word to explain what she'd done. "My response. I was startled."
Moving up towards Achieng, Sel reached out to her head though it was a little forceful she was a professional. She attempted to grab a hold of it and turn her face in differing directions, even using her 'thumb' on the girls eyebrow to check out her eyes. Nodding a few times she clicked the exoskeleton that made up her lips. "Simple enough, just some slip space lag form what I can see. Chemical imbalance caused due to your mind not being able to process what is happening fast enough. All we have to do is balance it out." Turning around she looked through her bag but moved onto the draws. "You can pick either a faster acting shot, or some pills. You will be better either way." Most people did not really like shots so she always asked.

Achieng tried not to flinch at being touched. It wasn't something she was used to from anyone. She was slightly relieved when the doctor stopped, and she watched patiently as the woman dug around for medicines.

"No shots, please. I was told that I am not to have any sort of liquid medication at all. It does not... do well with my race. Something about liquid having a much more rapid effect on my physique than anything else. You would have to dose the shot to one of a child." She felt as if she was rambling, and so stopped herself. "The pill is fine, Doctor."
I hope this one stays small, so I can keep up.
Name – Kijani Ryane

Alias - Origami

Age - 21

Personality – Manipulative, Proper, High class/snotty, (also a closet nerd)

Powers – Can manipulate paper, can remember anything she reads

Skills- martial arts (focused on agility/dodging/light strikes), can use a jian (Chinese straight sword), accomplished liar

Weaknesses – Overuse of her paper powers can make her very ill, doesn't have endurance for long, drawn out fights, has an odd aversion to white, poor aim with a pistol and is very much human

Appearance -

BRIEF Bio - Kijani was born to two wealthy, brilliant people who happened to dislike each other. Her conception was essentially an accident, and her parents married out of propriety rather than love. She grew up cared for by a nanny while her parents worked and ignored her. Her nanny was fired in Kijani's early adolescence, leaving the girl without friends. When she was eleven, she was kidnapped off the streets and held for ransom. Her parents paid, she was released, but she was scarred, both physically and psychologically. From that day on she was never quite the same. She promised herself she’d never let that happen to her again, no matter what it took. Kijani pretty much raised herself after that, while her parents worked. She became an emancipated minor at the age of fifteen, took her inheritance from her parents, and used it to start living life on her own terms.

For the first few years she traveled the world. She spent several months touring Europe, learning languages and absorbing culture. She spent a year in China, training extensively, and banishing the softness of a rich life from her spirit and body. Once she returned to America, she started work on becoming who she truly wanted to become. Having taken 'knowledge is power' as an almost-literal mantra, she began to make a name for herself, stealing secrets and gaining information for the highest bidder.
