...honestly that was one of my favorite RPs, I'm so sad it got abruptly ended. *thinks* Kijani is probably still with Slade, though. She trusts him.

Kassy... really wants to give Pulse a hug. Not sure if I'll actually have her do so. I know good and well she can see straight through Pulse's act. But I don't know if she'll act on it. *considers it* I'll get to answering in the morning. I don't do my best work at near 4am.

Kassy met Dmitri's eyes without flinching. She knew this game. Even after he moved, she made a show of blinking slowly and yawning, revealing stellar eye-teeth. She'd learned early not to show her teeth when she was happy. Not after terrifying a boat full of rescued tourists...

"Dima, if we go around doing as much damage as the people we're trying to stop, then where is the line between us and them, hm? If you become your enemy, even to defeat them, then they have won a much greater victory." She cut into the lamb, making a pleased little noise when she saw he left it nice and pink. It was nice to have something nice and tender to eat. She was still working on convincing him to season her a raw steak. One day, maybe. He didn't have to eat it, but sometimes she missed a fresh killed catch...

"If you want the city to keep liking us... well, tolerating you, really, then we have to at least be somewhat willing to attempt non-lethal harm to criminals. This world is strange that way, you know." She put a bite into her mouth and chewed, her expression radiating pure bliss. It was a few moments before she continued speaking. "Death is at the end of all roads, yet humans fear it so, because they have no predators here. All manner of harm is fine, until life is snuffed out. And then, there is no excuse." She shook her head a bit. "I will never understand it, really. If the guilty are caught, and they have killed, then why should they not be killed too? I'm sure the clan would wish their honor to be restored."

"Yes, there is!" She got it from the fridge, where it was contained tightly in a bowl so the vegetables wouldn't wither. It had lots of lettuce and spinach, some sliced tomatoes and carrots, and these green things that Dima called cucumbers. She didn't think they were, at least they didn't taste like that where she came from. Still, it tasted very nice, so she couldn't complain. She brought the salad and four of the still-hot cookies out to the patio table, setting them both down.

Easing herself into a chair, she looked out at the sea and inhaled. The scent of the sea gave her peace. This, with Dimitri, was home, but something in her always felt uneasy. There wasn't a name for it that she knew. Briefly, she wondered if Dimitri would notice her makeup and jewelry, and make a question of it. But she dismissed the thought quickly. He'd never notice. He never did.

Putting plates on the table and filling them halfway with salad, she put a bottle of dressing and the four cookies down. With a faint sigh, pleased sigh, she watched Dima finish up the lamb.

The young female, Achieng, sat resting in a large basin of water. She had the ability to get around the vessel in an odd looking chair that had water in it, but the rest of her got dry and thirsty after a few hours. However, when she started to see the activity on the ship picking up, she slid from the basin, back into her chair. A friendly scientist had taught her the control of it, and she whizzed through the ship with a faint sloshing of water. The first door she found open was the doctor's, and she smiled.

"Greetings, Doctor! You sound so excited! Are we leaving soon? I can't wait, I truly can't!"
