He opened the door to the resturant. Another of his mothers rules to being a good gentleman, always open the door for a woman. She could spend time teaching him this, but not how to dance it seemed. Oh, he could dance the waltz, but so could any nimrod who could count to four. "It looks like a nice place" he said, hoping his voice was steady. he still couldn't shake the nervousness that had come over him. It was worse the simple butterflies it his stomach-he felt like he had a whole damn cage of them in tnere. He concerntrated on what he should do next, trying to keep from appearing nervous, and shy. And probably failing greatly. They were directed to a table, and Connor pulled out and held a chair for Kijani, sitting down after she had.He smiled, feeling somewhat less nervous now. "so" he said, "what raw fish would you recommend?"Connor wanted to show Kijani a good time. He had been thrilled at her response to flying with him. It had been fasinating to watch her reaction in the air, Ignot controllimg the path. He had never thought to hear her squeak. It was cute. Tough, but girly. That just about described Kijani well. He wanted to give her more of that amazement. So, tonight, he was going to go above and beyond. Or try to. It wasn't like he had a lot of experience...well, any experience.., about dates. He smiled at Kijani, it seemed like he hadn't stopped smiling all day, which he didn't mind at all.

Kijani picked up the menu, scanning it. "Well, salmon and tuna are standbys.. eel is sweet and sort of melts in your mouth. Then there's all sorts of whitefish..." She ran her finger down the menu. "Let's start you with eel- it's really simple and it's actually cooked. And then... salmon sashimi, just for the flavor of it." She smiled, fiddling with her hair. The way Connor was smiling at her, it made her feel sort of warm and shivery inside. She didn't know what to do with that feeling.

The mask shut, and Connor had Ignot pull up a map to follow, before gently taking Kijani in his armoured arms. It was a lot different carry someone who was awake. He had to be conscious of the fact that she could actually hold on, and move accordingly so as not to accidentky trap a hand or something. He took of into the sky, and directed his path to Sulivan street. It was only a matter of minutes before try arrived, and soon he had set her down, somewhat reluctantly.

Kijani was unsure as Connor held her, and she carefully wrapped her arms around his neck. They took off, and she buried her face in his neck, the cool metal against her forehead. She let out a nervous squeak, and then peeked out as they got higher. "Oh... oh wow..." The city lay beneath them, sparkling with light and beautiful. "It's beautiful up here.." The ride was over far too soon, and they were touching down. Her feet hit the ground and she sighed softly. "...and you get to do that all the time?" Her hair was slightly in disarray, but her eyes were bright. "I'm absolutely jealous."
Devika's expression did nothing to betray her inner confusion. Business? What kind of business could this man be on, in here? Maybe he was a representative for some coffee company? Maybe he was meeting someone here...

She smiled vaguely at his question, taking another long sip of her drink before she bothered answering. "No business. Just pleasure. This place is my second home." That, and she really was tired of her small apartment. Today was one of those days where she had to get out. She pushed back a lock of her thick curls, winding her fingers through it in an idle way. "What sort of business you on?" Now she was realizing that his question was a little unusual. Not 'how are you' or 'you come here often', but 'what's your business here'. Formal, forceful... and digging for information. Interesting, and suspicious.

She raised her eyebrows at him, a faint smirk quirking her full lips. "Hot date with a punk chick?" She knew that wasn't it, but maybe it'd get him talking.
Devika watched the stranger watch her, out of the corner of her eye. She could feel him looking, which strengthened the feeling that he didn't belong here. So what was he doing here? He could be anyone- or anything... She wasn't the most powerful wizard that ever showed their face at the cafe, but she was the heaviest hitter here at the moment. If something went down, it'd be

"Your drink's up, Miss Dev!" Anny called back from behind the counter. Devika smiled and got up. The drinks here took a while, but they couldn't be beat. Because of all of the magic energy flowing within the shop, any modern device would have been doomed to failure. Instead they used antique coffee grinders, roasters, blenders, and even heated the milk the old fashioned way, over the stove. The process took a while, but the results were worth it. The coffee's taste was sharper, richer, more real. Even with the small crowd it catered to, they bought enough coffee to keep the place well in business. Devika couldn't even drink other coffee anymore.

"Thanks, Anny." She took her drink and sipped it, sighing at the wonderful flavor. "Delicious as always, kid." As casually as possible, she leaned against the counter, casting a half-interested gaze over at the blonde stranger. "...you new in town? Or just... slumming it with the weirdos?"
Jin smiled warmly at the tall man with the cart of shiny fruits. While she couldn't understand what he was saying, his voice sounded friendly and did take her stones to look at them. Then another man, shorter and fatter appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. The two men started talking, and she could see the agitation on the bigger one's face. The short, fat one ran around the cart, and came close to her. Way too close. She leaned backward, feeling decidedly uncomfortable with the man's stare.

And then he grabbed her nose, squeezing it like a ripe mushroom.

">Hey! Let go of me!<" She swatted at his hand, more out of complete surprise than anger. Was this some kind of weird human custom? She didn't like it, not one bit. She yanked herself back out of the man's grasp, glaring upward with her dark eyes. ">Don't touch me again, you fat toadstool!<"

She looked back at the other man, who was on the ground, and she pointed eagerly to the fruit, her patience now thinning. ">Is it a fair trade or not?<"
That works for me, it would be a nice addition. Kassy's the maternal sort, I think she'd do well taking care of him. And you can play another character if you like.

Connor shrugged off his leather jacket, handing it to her, saying, "we may only be in the air a little while, but it will be chilly" he smiled. "And I'd hate for you to be cold."he opened his pack, brushing his fingers over a button on the suit, and it popped out, expanding. It glittered blue and silver, and he stepped into it. It closed around him with a soft 'snick'. It was always such a thrill to out the suit on. He lifted the mask up, and said, "where are we going?"

Kijani stepped back and put on Connor's jacket, watching the suit come out of Connor's pack. It was a definitely awesome thing to watch- all that shiny technology that she had no hope of understanding. "Wow." She was obviously impressed. "That's cool. Uh... we're going into the city. Sullivan street."

Connor smiled. He was use to people thinking he couldn't be strong because of the way he looked, "I've carried Austin before, you will be easier to carry" he said, "plus, your conscious, he was dead weight in that simulation"

Kijani grinned, going a little red. "Oh, I'd like that." She chewed her bottom lip, obviously a bit shy about this. "Er.. I mean... if you wouldn't... mind, of course..." She'd been flying on her paper glider before, but she couldn't go very fast yet, or very high.
So... do you even care about our RP anymore?

Connor found himself smiling at this, "I have a car. I rarely use it, so this will be good for it" he said. He had actuslly forgotten je jad the car. He could use his suit, or a bike, like he had this afternoon. Or his own two feet. "I, uh, don't think ive used it since coming here two, so it might not run..." he thought what they could do, "theres the suit"

Kijani raised her eyebrows. "The suit? But... how would that work? I mean, would you carry me?" She paused, and blushed. "I mean, could you carry me?"
