Kijani turned rather red before averting her gaze again. He was getting too close, and that closeness made her close up like a bank vault. Backing toward the wall, she shook her head. "N-none of your business. Go away." She was making a fool out of herself. No doubt this kid's superparents had given him everything he'd wanted and needed. Attention... acceptance... Her golden eyes went cold. "You don't want to know, and even if I did, it's still none of your damn business."
Kijani flinched as she was touched, turning away as if she had been burnt. "..." How could she explain that Mimic hadn't been been Mimic, in her eyes. It had been... She shivered and looked at her shoes. "I did. I thought I was going to die." It was the restraints, now that she'd thought of it. Being held captive in that exact same way had triggered something in her mind, it had been so much realer than any of the old nightmares.
Kijani looked out of the corner of her eye at the well-dressed guy who'd sat beside her. A fleeting thought hit her that she was glad to not be the only one to wear her best clothes on the first day of school. She realized she didn't have a lie prepared for what had happened. "...I... lost control." Not a lie, but nothing near the full truth. Her hand rubbed at her side, subconsciously trying to soothe the phantom pain.
What does Anthony look like again?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found the picture.
Kijani was huddling on the stairs, gasping for breath through her tears and clutching her side. The pain was flaring up again. It was as fresh as the day of the original wound... She shook, trying to get the horrible scent of antiseptic and bleach and chemical out of her nose. It wouldn't go away, the lab wouldn't go away. This is what she feared the most. The more time she spent with her powers, the more she had to deal with this...
Kijani's suddenly empty fist smacked Mimic's face. Her chest was heaving as she tried to ready for a new attack, but the smell of burnt paper didn't belong in the lab... She blinked several times, her eyes seeming to come into focus. Her hand went limply to her side. She looked around slowly, realizing that she wasn't where she'd thought she was. "..." Her mouth opened and shut, and then her eyes filled with tears. "Not again." She burst from the room, not even stopping to grab her bag before she fled the class, clutching her torso.
*delighted cheer* Yay, she hit him.

But, oh, what's with her now?
Kijani laughed, even though she was in trouble. "Does this mean extra credit, teach?" As soon as the fire came out, her smile pretty much dropped off her face. Her whole body tensed and her eyes widened with fear. Suddenly the manacles were strapping her to a table and Mimic had no face, and there was a glare from behind his head, and the whole room smelled like bleach and antiseptic and-

"NO!" She jerked the manacles off the wall with a burst of strength that wasn't physical, but pure power. They slid around her hand and reformed in her fist in a sharp, jagged knife that she aimed for Mimic's head. Obviously she was going for a killing blow- but her eyes weren't right, her gaze wasn't even in the room.
"Partners? Tch. Again, small, not stupid." She knew she'd be useless to him. Orphans were useless. She waited several seconds before starting to walk in the same direction. "Actually, I don't have a plan. I guess... camp out and not have people hate me." She shrugged a bit.
((Did he seriously just Matrix-dodge Kijani's attack?))

Kijani's attack had pretty much been all feint, but she recovered from missing quickly, and made a sharp cutting motion with her hand. The paper halted and reversed in midair, shooting back at an angle toward Mimic's face. She followed it up by moving to Mimic's side and readying a quick series of kicks.
