The Few and The Far (Dizzy & Crim)

For book club we read a story called Babylon Sisters. Sort of a thriller/mystery with mild romance. It was well written up to maybe the last 2 pages, which kinda spoiled everything. I hate it when endings let me down.

As for phones, I have no clue. I'm completely out of my depth with smartphone tech. All I know is that I'm going with Metro PCS, and I want it to have plenty of space for all my music.

Jinny had been standing silent near the door, her sharp young ears picking up the conversation about the computers. Her head was tilted very slightly, a gesture that was common when she was curious about something. She padded in silently, her socks masking her very light footfalls. Before she got close enough for them to see her without turning, she spoke up. "So what's a jammer? Does it break alarms? Why don't you just use the alarm code, or interrupt the current to the system? Or, oh- oh, even better-" Her childishness was showing through her excitement and her brightened eyes. And there, in the cheerful wickedness of her smile, was the budding thief. "Better yet, you make the alarm glitch. A week before you go in for real, you tweak the alarm to go off at random intervals. Make it unpredictable. Make it annoying. Make it so they start to ignore the alarm. And then when it actually does go off- they'll think it's fake. Like that one story.. ah... the boy who called wolf or something..."

Kijani's eyebrows were raised. She had no idea Ben Parker was that good. Anthony had made a fitting choice. Skilled, and not afraid to play dirty. Very impressive. She watched with steepled fingers, her eyes fixed on the battle. It'd be over soon, one way or another.

AKA I'd always be accepting new and fresh ideas and members as long as I can tolerate them.But I'm not so I don't know. We did have some members who were supposed to join but some disappeared. One of which was hyped for this RP but I haven't seen a word of him in a while. So... If he says he quit than maybe you'd be able to join in his stead. Heck maybe you could join now if the other GMs were cool with it but if I am correct, they say we're no longer accepting anyone anymore and that we overpopulated the RP.

Could you maybe ask them? Considering some people dropped out/never showed...

Kijani was watching the fight eagerly. It was rare to see an all out physical brawl in this school. It was actually kind of refreshing. In the back of her mind she was wondering about that empath girl, Devika. Would Kijani, too, freeze up when it was time to take someone's life? Even if they... possibly had it coming?

Devika returned to her seat, looking rather stone-faced. Her emotions were almost completely locked down, because there were so many of them just coming from her that she couldn't deal properly. Honestly, she didn't want to be in this classroom right now. What would the others think of her? They probably thought she was a future murderer...

Dangerous Worlds (1x1)

While Charlie slept, Kassy and the others made the cave more cozy. Leo, with his air magic, tidied up the cave and made it nice. Bianca had fire magic, so it was she who lit the shredded papers along with a large driftwood log, to start a fire. While they were doing that, Kassy went to hunt down some food and have a moment to herself, before she returned with enough food for all four of them. Freshly killed fish and kelp.

Leo was looking down at the boy with an odd look in his eyes. "He's so innocent..."

Bianca shook her head. "He's a human, Leo. Even if he is a small one. They're dangerous, you know that."

Leo reached out to stroke his cool hand across the sleeping boy's forehead. "But what if we could make him not dangerous? Children are different from adults. They do better with proof and are more malleable to changing ideas."

Bianca frowned, taking her husband's hand from Charlie's face. "And, so?"

"So... we show the boy that we are not to be feared." Leo said, leaning forward to kiss his wife's forehead. "Then he will learn, and teach others."

Kassy surfaced near the mouth of the cave, with several fish, interrupting the conversation. "I've brought food."

Nah, no plan. I was going where the scene was taking me. Though once Devika gets over being disturbed by her own behavior, she'll realize that she's discovered something about herself.
