I understand.

*lies down* Tell Drew when he pops up- Them Trailblazers, man.. Talk about leaving it all on the court. I love it, the passion. They deserved that win and earned every point. I will continue to hope the Heat don't meet them in the playoffs. *grins* I'm not so sure we'd win, and that's the highest praise I can give.
You seem to think I'm disagreeing with you. I'm not. I'm just saying, this is where she is right now. With time, with her getting to know the others and open up, possibly learn to trust, she will improve. After all, she does want to distance herself from her mentor.
*shrug* Paranoia's how she survived as long as she did. I'm not saying it's a good thing, I'm just saying she has an excellent reason for it. (And being mentored by the World's Most Crazy Prepared Detective is not at all helping her lessen that aspect of herself.)

Jin has a problem with someone trying take the blame off of them. That is not a good personality trait, it shows a lack of trust

Yep! Exactly. She's got that lesson taught deep down in her bones.

Also- do keep in mind who her and Gabe's mentor is.
I'd really prefer magical girls.
*soft laugh* Jin smells a rat.
Jin had her back to the wall, squirming slightly as Batman reprimanded her. Honestly, it never got any easier to hear, his disapproval. She wanted to impress him still, to prove that she'd been worth the time and effort to train. But she'd messed up pretty good. It just made her nervous, when Batman got mad. It wasn't a yelling, hot anger. That, she could handle. She could yell with the best of them, and would have preferred it if she was just screamed at. But no- Batman had this way of looking at you, and digging into your core, and quietly telling you just how and why you'd screwed up. It was a calm, rational anger, and she had nothing to refute it with. Yelling at him would make her seem like a child. So she just stood there and tried not to shake, and desperately refuted the tiny part of her mind that told her that Batman could drop her off at some street corner at the other end of the world and wash his hands of her if she continued to fail.

Of course he wouldn't. But he could, and that was more than enough to scare her. She heard Luke saying he'd order pizza, and tried to fight down a little smile. He bounced back pretty quick- that was admirable. The quicker you could brush off defeat, the quicker you could work toward winning the next time. There was no use wallowing in it- stay too long at your pity party and the world would continue without you.

Patriot tried to throw himself under the bus, and she resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Her gaze did narrow at Patriot, and she couldn't stop herself from speaking. "Full responsibility? Please. We all acted on our own terms, and that was the entire problem. You did what you knew, I did what I knew, and et cetera. We all screwed up. Don't think you're so important that we did it because of you." What was he trying to pull? Did he really think anyone believed his little act? It was disgusting, how he seemed to be treating their elders like they were all born yesterday. He was no better than a charming con with the best gig in the world- desperate for anything he could snatch, including power. She'd definitely have to keep an eye on him.
The girl's eyes rounded upon seeing the food. "..." For a moment, it seemed that there were tears in her eyes. Her lower lip wobbled, and without another word, she snatched up one of the sandwiches and started chowing down with wild abandon. It was somehow endearing, to see anyone enjoy a meal so heartily. The girl, after filling her own mouth, tore off a good portion of the sandwich, and held it down for her Pokemon. Luna took it with a yowl of thanks, and started eating too. She seemed to leave a little bit of her portion for little Blaze, who hopped nimbly from his new trainer's lap to eat.

The girl did not speak for a good while, until the first panini was gone and she was licking her fingers free of crumbs. Only then did she look up at the professor, with something like hope in her eyes. "...I've never met anyone like you." Her voice was soft, awed, and confused. "Or you, either." Her gaze held Tobias's for several seconds. Then she went back to the professor. "You were saying... that I should travel? That maybe there are more people like you out there?"
I don't think he's talking to just Patriot.. he's talking to everyone. In my head, they're all assembled and getting yelled at as a group.
Heads up to my fellow RPers. I am going on a week's vacation on Monday, to return on Friday.

I am bringing my laptop, because I would feel a bit lost without it. My internet will be limited for the duration, and non-existant for Monday and Friday.

I am going to Disney World. I will attempt to check in, between rides and parades and stalking mascots.

That is all.
