Kijani felt Connor's presence behind her, but didn't say anything for a while. Her shoulders started to shake, and her head dropped as she tried to contain her emotions. “It's not right... being without my power. I feel... I feel sick. Like something's missing in me.” Her mouth twisted into a nasty expression. “Stupid principal thinking he can take away a piece of me, just because I don't kiss his damn feet like the rest of this school...” Her hands curled into fists as she slammed a punch into the wall in a rare burst of pure anger.
No, no.. What I'm saying is that a bunch of people skipped over the next class entirely... *so confused*
Hey Caits! Is it after class? Because I meant for Kijani to lean on Connor a little there, but everyone seems to have sped forward.
Kijani's expression settled into a warm smile at the sight of Marcus bowing to her. It was nice to see a man who hadn't forgotten how to treat a woman of her caliber with respect. She was about to respond when a figure, seemingly no more than a child, rushed into view. The little one ran headfirst into a support pole, elicting a mildly sympathetic wince from Kijani. The other man, Jason, helped up the child, who seemed to take an immediate liking to him.

"Ah, the bridge will hopefully provide us some answers." She nodded at the three of them. "Marcus, Jason..." A brief pause. "Jason's daughter." Her lips quirked slightly. "Shall we get to the bridge?" She started heading in that direction without further hesitation. Already she had Marcus' attention. Probably she would have had Jason's too, if the child hadn't appeared. It would take a bit more time for the little girl. If she even was a little girl- appearances could be deceiving.
*grins* Corsica sounds fun.

I'm just saying, whenever medieval Europe shows up in movies/books/tv, it sort of neglects the diversity that would exist there, even at those times. Maybe not in all places, but certainly in many of them.

Sure. I thought I had something planned for him, I just couldn't remember what. What were they going to do?

Hang out, work out, get sweaty and tired together? *shrug*
Devika rubbed her face as she took off the helmet, sighing deeply. She had done literally nothing. She might as well not have been there at all. A low groan escaped her as she thumped her face on her hands and stared at nothing. "You are... so useless..." She hadn't felt this bad about herself since she'd flunked her law school entrance exams.
Kijani yanked off the helmet, frustrated. She let out several curse words in various languages, before angrily touching the notebook at her desk. It didn't respond. "ARRGH!" She shoved it off the desk in a fit of anger, and then snatched up the rest of her things before bailing on the class. It had been so wonderful to have her power back... and now it was gone again. It felt like a chunk of her soul had been ripped out.
I don't think Kass would handle that very well. Also... ^_^ I did some history research via Wikipedia and chose a place in Spain known for it's population of Moorish people in the early centuries. I have no idea when in time the RP is set, but I figure there would be plenty of descendants there.

I get a twinge of upset feeling when there are like.. medieval type places and it's all very... er... homogeneous.

I think I'll just end the school day. If you want to post that your character went to another class, feel free. I, however, am just going to give my characters the rest of the day off.

Are Devika and John still on for gym time?
Richard grunted in the affirmative. "Just fine." He turned his gaze back toward the road- the edge of town was sometimes more dangerous than being within it. Soon enough, though, they were through. The truck went a decent distance into the thin forest at the edges of the wasteland, before Richard parked and leaned his head against the wheel.

Jinny looked around as they stopped. "We made it..." A hesitant smile appeared on her face, and she slowly moved so that she could knock on the back window of the cab. "You did it, Mr. Richard!" Her smile dropped. "Mr. Richard, you okay?"

"Sure, kiddo." Came the hasty response. Richard lifted his head from the wheel and gave her a weary looking thumbs up.
