You looked like you fell pretty hard" Phoebe was genuinely concerned, and apart from wanting to meet knew people, she wanted to make sure this girl was okay. When Phoebe had spoke to her first up, it almost seemed like the girl didn't expect anyone to come up to her.

Devika blinked at the redheaded girl, then looked down at herself. There was a rip in her leggings, and her boots and legs were scuffed with dirt. Her palms and knees ached from where she'd caught herself. "I'll live." She shrugged.

Phoebe started out of gym, kind of relieved it was over. Apart from testing how far they had come throughout the year, she didn't see what point the obsticule course was, when half the time they just sat there watching others go through. She looked about, and went over to the girl that had fallen off the monkey bars, not really recognizing her and assuming she was new. She had been on her team in the simulation, but beyond that, Phoebe had no idea what she could do or who she was. "Hi" she said with a smile

Devika didn't realize she was being spoken to at first, so she didn't respond immediately. But when Phoebe didn't fall out of step with her, she turned her head to gaze at the younger girl. "Oh. Hello." She pushed her emotions down deeper, and smiled a smile she didn't feel.

I don't think so. I remember her talking with Kalinda a bit, meeting Nacelle briefly... but I don't recall Phoebe.

Kijani let out a little snort and muttered low under her breath. "Sure, make it my fault because I refuse to risk my neck due to the negligence of others." She leaned back against the bleacher and waited, arms folded over her chest. It was just as well, she had far more important things to deal with than a paltry obstacle course.

Devika gulped as she got up. "I... I'll ah..." She shrugged, and then stepped up to the monkey bars. She managed to get up on them, which was a feat in itself, but made it about three fourths of the way before she lost her grip and dropped to the ground in a tumble. Slowly she picked herself up, closing her ears and mind against what she knew would be waiting; her classmates' amusement and derision.
