Don't worry, Caits. Americans know very little about American history. >< I am included.
Kijani watched carefully as Sue corrected her signing. She laughed silently and signed 'good' as Sue responded. Then class was dismissed and she was being tugged along to the door. She stopped just long enough to put her weight of 50 pounds and her run time of 45 minutes, on the paper, and then followed Sue out.

"I have..." Kijani paused and tried to think of the right sign, but she simply didn't know it. So she spelled out the words 'ancient weapons'. Then she pantomimed swinging a sword. "You?" She asked with her hands.
Any sign of the GM?

*just snickers* Now I've got the song stuck in my head.
Ugh. *faceplants into the bed*
Dioxide! ^_^ Kijani's signing to Sue... sort of.
Kijani was suddenly hugged by Sue, and grinned with surprise, wrapping an arm around the girl. She was glad to see Sue, because she had a bit of a surprise for the girl. She lifted her hands and started to sign, slowly, but certainly.

"How... is... you... morning?" She frowned slightly, knowing she'd missed something but not knowing exactly how to fix it. "I... do.. not... enjoy-" She had to stop and spell out "Weight". Then she smiled, rather proud of herself. Languages had always been great fun for her.
Kijani has string-bean arms, but I explained why. Hi everyone... my internet's been out all day. >< But I'm finally here.
Kijani was at a bit of a loss. She was embarrassed. Once she'd warmed and stretched, she'd moved onto the weights. Her weak point had been found. While she saw the other students lifting 100 pounds or more easily, she could barely do 50. She felt her thin arms wobbling as she tried to work out. It just wasn't fair. Her body wasn't built for raw strength. Speed, sure. Dodging, of course. But she wasn't going to win a fight by punching anyone's lights out. That was a job for a simple fighter, she was rather more complex.

After tying back her dreadlocks, she went running. That, at least, freed her mind a bit, and she sat down once it was over, hoping no one had really seen her failure.
Jinny watched the stranger wander a bit after he got up, and eyed his jelly jar with interest. She'd never eaten that looked so... bright before. She could even smell it's scent from here. Some sort of fruit. The closest they had to fruit in town was tomatoes, and those didn't really count, someone just said they were supposed to be fruit.

When he asked her what her plan was, she had to stop and think. To be honest, she hadn't planned because she figured a plan would just go to pieces. Better not to plan, better to think on the run. Life was unpredictable. People woke up and didn't know they were going to die... She shook her head slightly. "I dunno. Find a nice place to camp, I guess. Haven't planned too much, really, 'cause I figure it'll get all screwed up anyway."
