Eddie nearly cried when she realized what Mercury was doing. He was going to wait her out. If she was lucky, she could protect them all for an hour. The downside would be the physical cost of it all--before, when she had strained herself, she would black out around thirty minutes. Her body would continue to perform the same task, until the energy became so intense that her brain would begin to boil. Eventually, the damage will become severe enough, she realized, that she would either die or slip into a coma.

Of course, that would be what would happen in sixty minutes. It would be her death.

"Fine," Eddie whispered, almost choking on her own breath. She continued in her efforts, determined to save these people. She wasn't going to let Mercury kill them--even if they did attack them. The solution to his problems wasn't killing people. Edwina locked eyes with him, her entire body trembling and shaking.

The light pillars remained, however. As best as she could, Eddie continued to breathe, feeling no different than when she ran the mile in high school, and failed miserably.

"I'm not letting you kill them!" Eddie whispered hoarsely, having kept the pillars up for ten minutes. As she exhaled, she coughed, a bit of blood hitting the floor in front of her. Very nearly collapsed on the ground, determination was etched in her face. She watched as Mercury devoured the individual in front of her, and while she began to puke, she didn't relent.

There she was, on her hands and knees, vomiting up her meager lunch and blood, as she continued to protect a group of strangers.

"Your move," Eddie stammered.

”Really?!? I’ll go check it out.“

"No, Mercury, don't--" Eddie exclaimed, but it was too late. The men who decided to guard the door screamed, and began to attack him. They hit Mercury from all sides, encouraging more and more people to join in. Eddie's eyes widened, her heart practically beating too fast to be safe.

Mercury, now a beast, devoured each and every person in his way. He went up to Eddie and sniffed her, her eyes wide. She bit her lip, torn between two choices. Choice one: steal the guns from the supply closet, shoot them up in the air, and force everyone to calm down. The problem? She'd end up in a felony prison. Choice two: surround Mercury with a light cage, keeping him from hurting anyone.

She hit her head against the seat-back in front of her, groaning a bit in frustration. Those were the solid eyes. The one she was supposed to look for and keep him away from people. Resolving never to make a joke about there being food in a closet, Eddie rose to her feet. Taking a deep breath, she focused on the area around her.

"Shut your eyes if you want to live!" Eddie screamed above the chaos. She stepped into the aisle, and creating huge walls of light, preventing Mercury from leaving the aisle if he wanted to avoid the light. It didn't bother her eyes at all, but to anyone else, one look and they'd be blind.

The only issue with this plan? She was screaming in pain, hardly able to sustain that much energy. But it had to be done--it was the only way to save anyone. Falling to her knees, Eddie panted, trying her hardest to maintain the pillars of light.

"Mercury...Stop!" Eddie shouted, her arms and hands shaking, as if she was holding a planet on her back.

Eddie glanced up from her comics, and realizing that there no longer was a person sitting across from her. Instead, it was...she didn't know what to call it. It was Mercury, but as something else. Every so often, she would glance up, watching him battle through what appeared to be a nightmare. However, deciding it was better to leave him be and avoid Warlord hitting her again, she remained quiet.

Of course, during this particular train ride, it proved to be harder than usual.

About halfway through, Mercury continued to snooze away. Eddie finished her comic book and placed it away, only to look up into the barrel of a gun. Three figures, all wearing silver masks, had dispersed themselves along the train. Each mask was created differently, some smiling, some laughing, some crying. She remained still, as most of the conversation on the train died down.

He'll eat them if he wakes up... Eddie realized.

"Stand!" the silver masked foe ordered, motioning for Eddie to rise with his gun. She complied, and allowed herself to be shepherded to the aisle, along with two others. They were all ginger girls, fairly young. Already, Eddie had begun to sense a profile.

"We are not cruel," another mask said, the guns pointed at the girls. "This is a...uh...democracy."

"A democracy?" Eddie asked, a bit incredulous. She glanced over at Mercury, seeing if he had awoken. Nothing.

"Vote," the masks instructed simply. "Vote which shall die."

Eddie raised an eyebrow. Around the train, people were staring at the masks with horror. "And if they don't vote?" Eddie asked.

"All die. Even them."

"Great!" Eddie smiled. The masks operated simply, hardly using a single word. They would raise a hand over each girl in turn. Those who voted for that girl to die would then raise their hands, and a tally was taken. It was silent, and it was quick. In a matter of moments, they had voted.

Eddie, predictably, would be the one to die.

The masks aimed their guns at her, cocking them. Eddie merely smiled, allowing them to push her back up against a wall. Terrified passengers in the seat, their faces filled with remorse, scurried off as far from the scene of the execution as they could. The masks paused, the guns resting against Eddie's temple.

And they pulled the trigger.

Instantly, each of the masks were struck in the back of the head, and they crumpled to the ground. Eddie chuckled a bit, as the illusion of her -- the dead her -- faded away into nothing. The only thing that might have disturbed Mercury was the gunshots, but she doubted it. He was too sleepy. With the help of some of the other passengers, she tied the masked foes up, and locked them in the supply closet near the back.

Returning to her seat, Eddie pulled out her comic, and began reading it by the beginning again. Eventually, she watched Mercury begin to stir, and she smirked slightly. ”Man… I could eat a horse I’m so hungry.“

"We're almost there. You didn't miss much," Eddie said with a smile, continuing to read. "There's some food in the supply closet if you're really hungry..." she joked.
Loki glanced up, watching as thunder struck the sky. His brother appeared shortly, the scarlet cape whipping in the winds. He frowned a bit, noticing the lack of Jane Foster.

"Brother dear? Have you forgotten how to fly?" Loki teased. "You've gone in circles!"

He snickered, though his laughter stilled as Thor advanced. In immense confusion, Loki found himself hoisted into the air by Thor, and practically thrown back to the Winchester's motel. With the force and the distance, the impact made by Thor dropping him was enormous. A ten foot circle of concrete was broken and destroyed, with Loki down in the center of the newly created pit. Groaning a bit, Loki took a moment to think over the life choices that brought him to this moment.

And of course, the choices he'd soon be making to avoid this situation in the near future.

"Thank you for the ride, brother dear," Loki muttered sullenly. "I always did enjoy flying with you..."

Cornish peeled herself out of the wreckage of the impala, wiping aside the blood on her leg. She frowned at Crowley, raising an eyebrow. "So? It makes total sense--god of trickery, the devil. They'd get on fantastically."

For not the first time since working for him, Cornish suspected that Crowley had gone soft. He was practically senile, losing his touch. He had recruited her, convinced her that she could only live if Lucifer was defeated. But this? This would hardly do anything to stop their doom. And now, now each of them would become Lucifer's favorite playthings, doomed to torture, and forbidden from the kind release of death.

Sam nodded. "They're pretty much the same archetype, with both of them tricksters...They work with lies and deceit. Loki is almost the norse version of Lucifer," Sam explained. "...I took a class on comparative mythology at Stanford..."

Castiel surveyed Loki, his eyes narrowed. The more wild cards that appeared, the less he liked this. This was a war they had to win, against the devil. It wasn't something they could leave to chance. "Is it true that you have rendered a mortal woman onto the devil, norse god?" Castiel asked bluntly, his eyes glowing faintly.

Loki chuckled a bit. "I can see you, Castiel...The fallen angel...You are no different than the thing you fear most."

Castiel fumed, continuing to glare towards the pit. Had Thor not been in the way, Castiel would have picked Loki up himself, and demanded an answer. He had no wish to play games. He merely wanted to save the world--and Dean Winchester.

"Yo, numb nuts, did you take the mortal or not?" Cornish asked. "Big fan of your work, by the way. Could you sign my meat-suit?"

Slowly rising from the pit, Loki grinned, shaking his hair slightly. "I know not where the mortal is--but perhaps leaving her in Lucifer's cage does ring a bell, brother dear!"
Hey, man. I don't wanna sound rude, but you could pay closer attention to spelling and grammar? I'm a bit OCD, and it makes it harder for me to read your posts with tons of errors in them.

Also, I added speech colors for my characters, so you can see who is talking easier.

"So you're like the Hulk...Only you eat instead of smashing things?" Eddie joked, though she knew it was hardly the truth. She'd have to find someway to steal the magazine from him, maybe even accidentally toss it out. She really didn't want to have to explain to the authorities why Mercury started eating some of the passengers.

He kept on eating sandwich after sandwich, behaving just like a black hole.

”Eventually, but for now I need more time to lick my wounds. Not only that, but I need to wait for a chance to attack her. She’s an important figurehead in the scientific community. People are going to end up noticing her death, and I’d rather not be caught with my pants down.“

"People are going to notice her death regardless of how you plan it," Eddie pointed out. "Killing people isn't the solution to every problem, man."

She could see how...comfortable...he was talking like this. It would have terrified her, had she not always been excited by the more morbid people. Villains were some of her favorite characters--for example, her own alias was Lucifer! Evil mentalities and ways were delicious.

But now, in real life? They were terrifying.

”For now though I’m all yours… Damn that sounded weird coming out of my mouth.“

He ate another sandwich, and Eddie rolled her eyes slightly. However, things about him did start to make a little more sense. He was normal when he was on the run, putting bullets in people, and the works. When he was placed in a domestic situation...he didn't know what to do with himself.

"Well, we've got a four hour train ride," Eddie grimaced, her eyebrows raising a bit. The train doors slid aside, allowing each and every passenger to board. Eddie showed her ticket and climbed on, finding a secluded seat, and positioning herself next to a window. She loved to look out at the scenery, but also enjoyed the isolation of a window seat--there were no obligations to interact with every person.

Pulling out her comic book, she settled in for the long trip. Hopefully, nothing would crash this time.

Edwina took off towards the train station, waiting in one of the irritatingly long lines. Her phone continued to buzz constantly as late texts were delivered, and as her sister, Eleanora, heard that Eddie would be bringing home a boyfriend. A few of the texts were fairly typical, such as:

I thought you were GAY?!

For the most part, Edwina just sent gifs of her favorite shows back to Eleanora, and occasionally berated her to go back to focusing on her homework. By the time she reached the front of the line, Eddie finally managed to get her sister to go back to writing her report on the European Union. Purchasing two tickets for Fall River, Eddie pocketed them, and left the line, waiting for Mercury.

”So... When's the train coming in?“

"In ten minutes," Eddie replied, chuckling a bit at the sandwich in Mercury's mouth. "Do you ever feel...full?" she teased him, putting her comic book in the bag with her clothes, and handing him his train ticket.

Glancing up at his eyes, Eddie checked them carefully, ensuring that he wasn't about to flip out and start eating people any time soon. She noticed, however, the magazine in his hands--one with Tia on the cover. She grimaced a bit, guessing at Mercury's intentions in purchasing it.

"You're going to go after her," Eddie said. It was hardly a question.
Name: Millicent Blair

Age: 16

Appearance:

Personality: Millicent loves laughter. Her ultimate goal is merely happiness, and she constantly seeks out something stable, something that she'll enjoy. Always on the look out for chances to make new friends, she's an incredibly helpful person, and takes a lot of pride in what she does. Prescribing a bit to utilitarianism ideology, she tries to do the very best she can do with the hand she's been dealt. She's positive and sees the good in others and situations, but not to the point that it's irritating.

However, she can groan and moan just like any other teenager, and despite the instability of her life, Millicent is a fairly happy person over all. She has a lot of confidence, but when it comes to breaking the rules, all of that confidence vanishes. She hates crowds and prefers more intimate, one-on-one company. Lastly, she's incredibly idealistic, still believing that she lives in a perfect world--even when it's anything but.

Biography: After the events of the Brexit, her family moved from Scotland to Australia, her parents severely upset with the outcome of the vote. Her father easily found a job in chemical engineering due to the large mineral refining industry in Australia, and her mother continued her attempt to write the next great American novel. The youngest of four children, Millicent is the only one yet to leave the home. Her eldest siblings, twins Ainslie and Bruce, each just graduated from college, being twenty-two years old. The twins nurtured interests in law and performance respectively. Millicent's only other sibling, a 20 year old boy named Neil, is serving a seven year sentence in Scottish prison for the possession of a class A drug (ecstasy).

With the upheaval of her family and her brother's imprisonment, Millicent has very little stability in her life. Millicent wants to become a psychologist, but largely, this is a reaction to her brother Neil's sentencing. Prior to that, she wanted to become a photographer, as she constantly goes through phases, uncertain as to what she wants to do.

She struggles slightly in school, mostly with math and science. The humanities are more what makes sense to her, but Millicent tends to make friends rather easily. She isn't ostracized, but she isn't the most popular person either. She's a fairly average kid, attempting to make things make sense.

Eddie shook her head, laughing a bit. "Pedro is shipping my things home," Edwina explained. "My parents called him about it, it'll all be fine. Besides, I didn't bring anything I cared about to Brazil."

”Well anything you immediately need like a change of undergarments in order to take a shower. Because I’m not the only one that reeks of salt water, and vomit.“

She rolled her eyes at him. "I'm not going bra shopping, I've got a bunch of stuff at my parent's house." She chuckled a bit, amused at the variety of emotions Mercury seemed to be bouncing too. Had he not seemed to be annoyed at being teased about going through puberty, she would have compared him to a woman on her period.

Which, according to her earlier lie, Eddie was supposedly suffering from.

"I'll go get train tickets, you get a bag," Eddie offered. "It's a long train ride, though, I have to warn you..."
Sam shook his head at his brother, entirely puzzled. What was with all of the chick flick moments lately? Grabbing a bit of holy water from his pocket, he opened the flask, and tossed the water on Dean. He managed to struggle free from Thor's grip as well, and stared up at the god.

"Look, Lucifer is...he's the devil," Sam explained. "Rules over hell and everything...If he has your...your mortal then...that's not good."

Castiel looked at Dean, and nodded. "I believe it is so, Dean."
