Jack Hudson

Location: Building 1, Infirmary

After moving Ray into the OR with Ash's help, Jack had been set on the task of pulling items from the dead and cataloguing them. The morbid task reminded him of the way they'd sort evidence after a bust, bagging and tagging them to be moved into storage later on. Most of the items he found had been general, things that people kept on them during the apocalypse. Others had been a little odder. He found a Sci-Fi movie on the body of one girl, but looking through Bazhooli's belongings had been the worst.

He had glimpsed his cat a few times in the hours to come. The little orange rascal seemed to have known what happened, saving Jack from figuring out how the hell he was supposed to tell a cat that its master died. He recalled that Ash had invited him for a drink later, but once he finished with his tasks, he wanted nothing more than to find Tatiana and keep her within his sight. The newer newcomers had been set up in the Mess Hall. Froggy, the kind doctor they had met what seemed an eternity ago that day, had asked for Tatiana to stay in the infirmary longer that night.

While he wasn't technically certain if he was supposed to be bothering his fiancée, he figured that his solovey wouldn't mind his company that night. "Solovey, mind if I stick around?" Jack asked with a goofy grin, as soon as he had found her inside of the infirmary. He didn't want to think about Bazhooli if he could help it. Better to focus on the living. "I can teach you to speak Boston," he offered, as if that was an incredibly enticing skill to learn.

Beatrice and Chloe

Location: Building 2, Mess Hall

Each time a new person walked inside of the mess hall, Chloe's hopes raised. She expected Riley to come in through one of those doors, loud as ever, and faint at the sight of her sister. But it never was her. No one else kept inside of the Mess Hall to be interviewed seemed to have seen her sister. From what Chloe could tell, Riley just wasn't here. The settlement seemed to be the safest place in the apocalypse, and Chloe was torn. Should she stay? Or should she go keep on searching for Riley and leave the settlement behind?

She couldn't think of a good answer for that. Sighing a bit, Chloe folded her hands and propped her head on them. It had been years since she had a decent hit of anything, but old habits die hard. She was craving something to make her forget about all of her problems, and deer meat didn't have any hallucinogenic effects. Biting down hard on her lip, Chloe hoped that the feelings would pass soon enough.

Beatrice, meanwhile, had been keeping to herself, nibbling away at the food. Miss Sally had been kind enough to give her something to eat, acting like the stern Southern grandma she never had. She reminded her of a few foster parents she had growing up, and she noticed the ginger in the corner. Having grown up in Justice, it didn't take her too long to recognize an addict when she saw one. Drumming her fingers on the table, she couldn't help but note the irony. She'd really never set foot in a church before, and now, she had to stay here until the head honcho came around to verify she wasn't a murderer.

The mention of housing assignments, though, that perked her interest...This little colony seemed to have all the perks. And explosions.
Working on a post now. Sorry for the delay. RL circumstance came up last night.
Small little teasers here for you all. :) Coventry, Mass. is a tourist town. Think Salem, but not quite as famous. There'll be a relations sheet for the sequel, so for those of you reusing AH characters, keep that in mind. :) All AH characters pretty much know each other. I'll bring back my AH characters on an as needed basis--and I'm bringing in a new one for my main. Her name's Andromeda. I'll put another little teaser in here tomorrow, with the interest check and OOC hopefully up on Friday or Saturday.

Location: the Wyndham Estate (Physically)

Virginia's mind drifted from her body, and she glanced at her dear friend Millicent. But then she practically glided through the maze of London, observing the slight changes in position. The mist had been the cause of the distress, and so, Virginia headed to where she had glimpsed it last. She smiled wryly, as much as a projection of one's mind can smile, for it had gone.

It did not take her very long to guess as to where it had gone. She continued on in the direction of Almack's, taking in the scenery as she went. However, after a few minutes, a slight tug of pain occurred. If she continued to drift on, it would become more likely that she should never return to her corporal form. She would become stuck in this between until death, and while that possibility on its own was not troubling, she could not allow herself to vanish as her parents did, and abandon her brother. She could not force Millicent to act as his reagent.

Besides, her task had been performed. She knew that a tragedy would strike at Almack's that night, the only question remained was to what purpose. Her mind drifted back to her body, and she awoke from her trance, and shook her head slightly at Millicent. Nothing new had been attained. It would perhaps be more practical to send word to Almack's to inform them that the event must be canceled, and then to travel to the corpse's destination physically.

"Dear Millicent, please do not tread near Almack's tonight," Virginia finally said. "I feel ever the more certain that it shall only bring death."

Nora Kingston

Location: Heading to Garden City

At the sounding of further bells, Mr. Drake's future partner dashed off into the Grand Continental Hotel. A heavy police presence surrounded the area, with officers searching up and down the streets, going in and out of the hotel. The escaped prisoner must have been near, Nora reasoned--or someone with enough wealth to afford such protection by means of bribery was staying in the hotel. Both possibilities seemed to be quite likely. And while Nora knew she could hail a cab for her convenience at this point, she truthfully did enjoy to walk the streets of Cairo.

Though, her present company was not the most desirable. Whenever Mr. Drake spotted a girl he fancied, he straightened up slightly, as if she would turn and spot him, and fall prey to his advances. The American way was rather strange, that much Nora was certain of. Why, it was all the more surprising that the Lord Captain did not assume Mr. Drake to be a male escort as well as Josephine!

"Thank you for accompanying me, but I do believe I can manage from here," Nora nodded, and set out on her own. But not a minute later did Mr. Drake hurry to her side, a cocky grin smeared on his face. "A man's word is his word, Eleanor. I said I'd take you home--and we aren't there just yet." He chuckled slightly, before continuing on, Nora rolling her eyes ever so slightly at his mannerisms.

How the Lady Munn restrained herself from smacking this man on a daily basis was more of a mystery to Nora than the mysterious brand on her finger.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: the Morgue

Cecily grimaced slightly. She absolutely hated getting her flu shot each year, to the point that she went out of her way to actively avoid it if at all possible. And the pain of a bullet in her was already enough. But splintered near an artery? That did not sound like her ideal way to spend the evening. It made sense, of course, that there was nothing there to numb the pain. Corpses generally didn't feel pain when a bullet was extracted, after all.

As Caesar offered her his flask, she shook her head slightly. The Winchesters might be able to swig down some alcohol and then undergo surgery, but everything she ever read indicated that alcohol and surgery didn't mix. While there wasn't the interaction of alcohol and morphine to worry about, the idea didn't sit well with her. She vaguely remembered something about bleeding becoming harder to stop after drinking.

That, and perhaps a more important reason: Cecily was the lightweight queen of lightweights. Whatever Caesar kept in his personal flask, she figured, would get her absolutely smashed in about three seconds. "Thanks, though," Cecily offered. She could tell the grizzled Mexican was doing his best to help her, and as he physically restrained her, she chuckled slightly as he asked about salary.

"Just enough to buy comic books," she joked, attempting her very best to be distracted from what was going to happen. She had tensed up preemptively, squinting slightly in expectation of the pain.

Iris Kingston

Location: Justice Asylum For The Criminally Insane: the Ludwig Building

Iris watched from her office door as the orderlies went to fetch Cynthia. She tugged on her hair as the ensuing fight broke out, which landed Cynthia in a straight jacket, bleeding. But while some psychiatrists at the asylum would see no issue in this, Iris could not feel the same. The violence struck her as unnecessary for a halfway house. She grimaced slightly, but as Cynthia smiled at her, she did her best to smile back.

"Valentine, I was hoping we could talk about another friend of yours," Iris opened warmly, moving to sit down at her desk, with Cynthia across from her. The orderlies remained at the door, and Iris shot a quick glare at them, and they simply closed the door. Typical. She put the file away in her drawer, thinking for a moment as to how to phrase this.

"In Seattle, you made a new friend," Iris began. "Could you tell me what you like about her?" Truthfully, it didn't matter so much who this Jenny Green was. The psychological ramifications of Cynthia bonding with this moment are what truly mattered to Iris. And if Cynthia could describe what she liked about this woman, whom Iris assumed she had taken the moniker Valentine from, then she would be able to treat her patient.
