Build: Athletic
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Blonde (Naturally Brown)

Personal Style: Jaina has a love for anything bright, obnoxious, and sparkly. If she had her way, she'd walk around dressed in her old circus attire all the time, and for added fun, she'd have some ribbons trail from her arms. Unfortunately, asylum policies don't allow strings. She tends to be in white sweat pants and a brightly colored t-shirt, all to add a little extra sunshine to her life. Her hairstyle is constantly changing, though she is partial to braided pigtails. And stage makeup. The more extreme, the better.
Happy * Psychotic * Carefree * Reckless
Sexuality: Demisexual
Relationship Status: Single
Personality: Initially, Jaina was a quiet and sweet young girl, always seeing the best in everyone and trying her very best. She could never hurt a fly. In a military family, with loud and bold personalities, Jaina's personality provided contrast. No one could have expected her to become what she is today. However, after the experimental treatment she received from her brother, she became insane, to the extent that she is
always happy. It is frightening, almost, her constant positivity. And while she has grown older, her psychosis hasn't changed.
Her psychosis manifests itself in many ways. Jaina lacks understanding of several concepts, the most concerning being life and death. It's a miracle she grasps the notion of object permanence still. To her, there's hardly anything to be afraid of in the world. Death is all an illusion, just something that others stress out about. Even when witnessing death or killing someone herself, Jaina is as unfazed as can be. There's a gigantic disconnect in her brain. This causes her to be fearless and confident, but also rash, reckless, and stupid. She's like a gambler, only she's betting her own life with each and every decision she makes.

The Basics: Jaina was the youngest child of the Sarbye family, with several older siblings, as well as a twin brother, Jacen. They were a military family primarily, with every family member going into some form of service. They had sisters in the navy, brothers in the army, and a sister in the air force. It was family tradition. But the twins, neither of them wanted to join the military. They went through JROTC like the rest of the family, but when it came time for graduation, Jacen turned down an offer to become a Navy Nuke and went to Harvard to study neuroscience. Jaina, meanwhile, vanished.
She had run off and joined a primarily Russian circus. Sweet and a little bit shy, the circus helped to coax her out of her shell. And while it didn't happen overnight, she eventually made it as a first string acrobat, performing for crowds (primarily of small children) as they traveled the continental United States. The circus became her family, but a second string acrobat was jealous of Jaina's success. They loosened the riggings during her act, intending to humiliate Jaina and cause her to lose her spot--but the safety net hadn't been tested in years. When Jaina crashed into it, it broke, and she fell.
While she survived, she sustained brain damage at the young age of twenty eight. Her brother, now a doctor in experimental neuropsychology, tried his best to take care of his sister. He administered electroshock therapy to her, in order to help her regain what she had lost--and he was successful. Too successful. The brain damage was vanquished, her sanity along with it.
She now resides in Justice Asylum for the Criminally Insane. Her actions had culminated in a charge of second degree murder, though she was acquitted due to a mistrial. They couldn't put her in prison, but it was clear her sanity wasn't there--and so, it was the asylum for her.
