OH BOY!
A....summoner?
I hope I'm alive, or else I've got some explaining to do....
Garanin Stonehewer

Garanin let out a short breath when Dolvin's hand came down on his shoulder. He was tenser than he wanted to be, and the elder dwarf was right, after all. They were all here to learn, regardless of their specific circumstances.

"Aye. Aye, yer right." He gave Vale a moment of appraisal before nodding. "It's good to meet ya, sir Azsier. You've my apologies for my...wariness. Have'nae met any Dark Elves for meself, and I let the stories get into my head I s'pose. I hope for both our sakes that this is the worst encounter we're to have." It was an odd apology, he supposed, but Garanin didn't much care. He was trying to be open with the other students here, at least open about how he saw them. To be totally frank, he wasn't sure what to think of this Vale Azsier. He carried himself with the weight of a true warrior, as opposed to that of a soldier.

It left him both intimidated and interested in this strange individual. After giving the elf a few moments to retreat, Garanin turned back to Dolvin and spoke. "It's been good to meet you, Dolvin. Any idea when Master Rovi will be around? I'd like teh ask him a few questions a'fore we get started."

That took a bit longer than I'd have preferred, but there we go, a posty

Garanin's eyes widened and he shook his head in a bit of shock as Dolvin introduced himself, accepting the sandwich he was offered with a grateful nod. "Aye, what in the bloody hells are ya doin' here, then?! Ya coulda at least tahld somebody yew were just hangin' out at the Arcanium, the rest of us Dwarves thought you went an' bit the dust!" Chuckling as Dovlin finished his explanation, Garanin nodded and let out a little hum. "Well, I s'pose that makes some sense as well. Cannae believe I didn' recognize yah there, Ahbarer!"

The dark elf's arrival, however, turned Garanin's mood a bit. He perked up when the man spoke about having met Dovlin before, but his guard didn't fall. One might call him prejudiced, but he was fairly certain even most of those people would be a bit cautious around a true Dark Elf. They had a reputation, and for a reason.

"'Ello thar, sir." Garanin only passively noticed that this man before them kept his hand near his weapon, but as a fully armored and armed student in a mages academy, Garanin could hardly fault him. Old habits died hard, after all.

Garanin's response to the other dwarf's greeting was nearly immediate. He stopped, adjusted his posture, and pounded his own left shoulder once. Carefully pulling one of his gauntlets off to properly greet the man, Garanin grabbed the offered hand and gave it a hearty shake. "Aye, that it is, Brother! I was worryin' I'd be one a' the only dwarves in this blasted place! Though I s'pose it figures that the Grand Enchanter bears the Gift, after all."

Taking a step back after the handshake and wiping his already-sweating brow with an arm, Garanin spent another moment looking around, admiring the works on display as he replaced the gauntlet on his hand. As hot as the forge was, it wouldn't do to mess about with all of his gear and end up burning himself on it due to the heat of the forge. That was what padding was for, after all.

"It looks like ah'm the first to arrive? So...how exactly does this whole thing work?"
