Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

There was no protest from Gallus when Hiritus declared that he had reached his limits. "We're downwind and we've covered plenty of distance," he said, "here is as good a place to set down for the night."

Gallus sat himself onto the ground, hearing his knees click with relief after standing and walking for hours on end. He was more patient and decisive about retrieving his dinner than Hiritus was. He unrolled a map that he had taken with him to consult their next moves while he ate. It was mostly and act, given what else could happen that night.

"So, jester." Gallus spoke between mouthfuls as he looked down at the hide map, "What's the food like at your...cell?"

Fendros raised a hand to dismiss the need for assistance. "Oh, no, no, I just had a couple of things to ask you." Fendros glanced to a nearby empty table and then looked back to Jo'rashaad. "Shall we sit?"

When they got to the table, Fendros lifted Rhazii onto his lap and allowed him to look around and chew on the end of his tail. Fendros at first spoke to Jo'rashaad with simple appreciation. "I heard from Meesei that you and S'ajira were willing to watch over Rhazii and Newt while we were on our march. You have no idea how much that means to us. Thank you."

With a pause for a breath, Fendros fidgeted a tiny amount, as if unsure if he should ask his next question. "How has Ciinriel been coping?"
@Muttonhawk 2 Might in total to teach programme Kaolokinesis into their minds and make them capable of using it. Mind you, this means that they can ONLY use that kind of magic, other forms of magic and basic magics are beyond them.

No problem. I'll edit my post ;)

Edit: Done. *Passes out*
<Snipped quote by Muttonhawk>

I guess automatically 'embedding' or 'programming' magic into their minds is possible with an additional Might, and seeing as they are unthinking slave-hain, it's not much of an issue.

What's the verdict on the exact might cost?
Gallus actually smiled briefly. "Hmph, lucky you were taking those disease resistance potions," he commented without elaborating.

With the scent of his allies on the wind, Gallus was reassured enough to relax a little. He and Hiritus might exchange some small-talk, but there was little more of use that Gallus felt as though he could uncover. The temptation to infiltrate and find out more about the planned culling was tempting, although Gallus had not decided how to proceed just yet. He figured that he could leave his decision until they made camp for the night. At any rate, taking the first watch would be the ideal time to put Hiritus down.

Meanwhile, back at the Orcrest clanhome, the regular crowds were dispersing back to their duties after lunch. Fendros, having something on his mind, sought out Jo'rashaad, the mage and father that they rescued from captivity. Fendros had Rhazii in tow as Ahnasha was out trailing Gallus with Meesei and the others that went along.

Fendros managed to catch Jo'rashaad before he left the dining chamber. He waved the man down and greeted him. "Jo'rashaad, it is good to see you. Do you have a moment to talk?" Fendros asked with a neutral look.

Rhazii looked up at Jo'rashaad curiously as he held onto Fendros' hand. He didn't say anything just yet.
@Muttonhawk@Legion02[@AnyoneCreating Magic] before giving hain/humans/any sentient being magic, you need to take into account that magic exists within the universe but most created creatures have not been embedded with the ability to wield magic. So before even teaching say, humans, Cryomancy or Kaolokinesis, you'd need to embed them with the capability to sense and use magic. You will then need to make them realise that they can control their surroundings (e.g. teach them basic magical energy manipulation) and over a period of 5/6 generations they may learn Kaolokinesis or Cryomancy with 1 MP (and it would take significantly longer without).

Ah. I guess I misremembered how freepoints vs. might points worked for things like magic. I am about to head to sleep, so I'll be able to talk more tomorrow, but I'll at least give some response.

Toun intends to have the slave hain in particular learn kaolokinesis without teaching anyone else on the planet. Toun isn't giving every hain on Galbar this ability. This is a population of roughly 200-300 at this point, essentially hooked up to a hive mind with Toun at the centre now that Cornerstone has being built around them. They would be bestowed and taught how to use their new powers more intrusively than normal. I'm not sure if these parameters change anything about what I was trying to do but I would have no issue spending straight up might on it.

If the process has to be gradual with one might point, would two or three make it quick enough for use within, say, a few months, or a week? I've still got a few points spare.
I like those penflies. They're cute.
Can confirm, kaolo- is a prefix referring to kaolin because porcelain. Fun fact: Hain can sense a unique flavour when eating aluminium silicates and kaolin is their favourite. It's like a delicacy to them. Very good for their shells.

Can also confirm that the coast of the white ocean is jagged and it is also dotted with islands around the place.
Oooh, nice. Thanks for that.

As for the name of the ocean, it wasn't a typo when I named it metaTic. It was meant to be..."Well, how are oceans named? Pacific? Atlantic? how could I describe an ocean that came out of crazy-random side-effects? I know! I'll twist the word meta!"

I'm tired, alright?

White ocean sounds fine, but I wanted to refrain from using that too much as I might start calling everything Tounian as 'white this' or 'white that'. It's no big deal though.
Well, the paint map scale is a little weird as it is. The ratio between horizonal and vertical isn't quite the same as a world map of the Earth. That's not to say we need a perfect flat map of a spherical planet--that's impossible--but it could have a bit more room.

Also...almost drowned. Just as planned.
