Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

I'd just like to declare that I've been trying to get a smallish post done for a while but have been distracted a lot. I am going to be a bit too busy to post now, but rest assured that I have a plan laid out.

In the meantime, let it be known that I'm having Toun snatch up the Calligraphy domain and I reckon I'll have him deal with the Rovaik trying to summon him after Vestec attacks. As for Niciel, she can come by whenever. Hit me up with a PM and a shared doc whenever you're ready @Scarifar. We don't have to work simultaneously on any collab that comes about.
I'll have to apologise in advance. This week is going to be pretty busy. Most posts are probably going to be slow and done on bus trips.
Rhazii stared at his food furtively for another few moments. He picked up one of the pieces and tightened his brow at the strange leg attached to it. He was hungry and he knew that mama and dada would not stop harping on until he tried it, so he did what he normally did. He held up the piece and took a tiny bite from it. The taste wasn't bad at all, really. Mama was right when she described it like mudcrab meat. Rhazii quietly continued eating but tried not to make it look like he was enjoying it. Stubbornly, he didn't want give the impression that he no longer thought the meat looked strange.

"Ah, yes, I'd heard that Do'ajee helped advise the clan before the move," Janius said. "So I suppose you're all essentially from Elsweyr, then." Janius then lowered his brow and looked down for a second, trying to remember something. "Remind me," he asked, "Did you two ever share your backgrounds with us? How did you come to be turned? And how did you find the clan?" Janius raised a hand, "If you do not mind talking about it, of course."
G'night!
Fendros breathed in to further Ahnasha's answer. "I think the reason we all were able to come together was also because the pack tended to travel before we reached Bruma. We were a wandering pack, not attached to a clan. I imagine a clan would have more local people than anything simply due to staying put."

Upon seeing the food getting served up, Fendros called over Newt and Rhazii from their game. They looked reluctant to stop so quickly, but they gathered back without complaint. Rhazii sat himself down between his mother and father, but seemed confused by the look of the food. He sniffed it and looked up to Ahnasha. "Mama, this meat looks strange. Do I have to eat it?"

"On that previous note," Janius said slowly, "is Colours from Pelletine? Or are anyone else in your pack from outside the kingdom?"

There were no complaints about the taste of the food from Fendros when he took a bite. Rhazii didn't seem immediately convinced by his father's lack of hesitation.
"I'll admit that living in the wilds with a pack does make life simpler, even if it is more work," Fendros added. He reached his hand out to place it over Ahnasha's and gave her a reassuring smile, before turning to Ciinriel. "Whatever we do, the priority will be with raising the children. Until then, it is all in the hands of fate."

Janius nodded in agreement. He was glad that Ahnasha and Kaleeth's demonstrated differences did not erupt into an argument. He suspected that would be deferred into the future if it came to the pack splitting up due to competing interests. Janius did not look forward to that possibility.

Fendros looked to Janius and Kaleeth while Janius was paused for thought. "Did you have any particular spots in mind to live, if you get to choose?" Fendros asked.

It took a moment for Janius to snap out of his thoughts, so Kaleeth had the opportunity to answer first.
Fendros raised his brow in mild surprise upon hearing what the cooking meat was. "Interesting. I had assumed that it was some kind of seafood, though I suppose that would have been extraordinary out in this place."

Ciinriel's question brought everyone's eyes to her momentarily. Fendros glanced over to Ahnasha, as it was not something they had really discussed in depth. On the other hand, Janius and Kaleeth had given some thought about what they wanted to do. As a result, Janius answered first, giving Kaleeth a confirming look.

"Well, it really depends on the circumstances after the war," Janius began, "We are still a part of Meesei's pack, so she may still have other duties but...Kaleeth and myself wanted to find a place to settle and raise Newt, maybe even try having another child. Whether that is still in Bruma or some place warmer, we haven't committed, but I think after all this some stability would be welcome."

There was a pause in Fendros' response, both because he hadn't known Janius and Kaleeth's intentions up until now and because they may have conflicted with what he came up with. He answered anyway. "I don't think Ahnasha or myself have really discussed what's after all this. I know I would like to be with the pack, whether in a clan or in the wilds, it makes little difference to me. There are still some places in Tamriel that I would like to travel to, if at all possible. Who knows? Meesei might have more duties to carry out that take us to those places." Fendros looked over to Ahnasha, "What do you think?"

Fendros of course deliberately left out the long term objective of finding a way to extend Ahnasha's life.
"Never, my darling," Janius responded, bringing an arm around Kaleeth's side, "I'd probably not be nearly as happy, likely." He then turned back to Ciinriel with a grin. "I'm glad that you're looking forward to it. They can be a bit of a handful sometimes, but patience prevails. You'll enjoy yourself with that attitude."

Janius turned his head to Kaleeth and gave her a quick peck on the snout. He almost turned her question back at her, but he suspected that it would evoke homesickness more than anything.

Unfolding his arms, Fendros spoke up. "So, Jo'rashaad, I didn't see what you had obtained for breakfast. What have you got cooking here?"
All good. G'night!
The game of tag took a couple of laps around the gathered group, adding some high shrieks of laughter at a continuous rate. As the two ran after one another in turn with their short-legged gaits, they found that neither were particularly faster than the other. Eventually the chase broke off to dodge around unoccupied furniture surrounding them. Newt was able to swat Rhazii's tail eventually, turning the chase around. Rhazii stood in place with a wide grin while counting to three slowly, as was one of the arbitrary rules they had put in place to keep the game from turning into a slap-fight.

Fendros took on a serious expression and nodded after Ahnasha made her reassurance. "At the very least, this attack will make it less of a danger to be a lycan clan in Elsweyr in the future. You can count on us."

"Hm," Janius said in agreement while pondering something. "So you might be known as the Torval clan from then on?" he mused, "Well, I suppose the name doesn't matter too much. Mostly I'm glad that we were able to relocate before anything bad could happen. It's been a run of good luck and smart moves so far."

With a measure of curiosity, Janius turned his head at an angle to Ciinriel. "What do you think of all this, Ciinriel? You've been rather quiet so far."

"By your standards, Janius, maybe," Fendros said with a sarcastic smile, folding his arms.
