Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

They were getting split up further. Gallus didn't like the possibility of overextending but they didn't have time to be thorough and methodical any more. Not with Ri'vashi holding the gate. As well, Lorag's look hinted at being driven by revenge. The doubts made Gallus hesitate for a moment.

Ra'kalesh's arrival made Gallus double-take at the burns that the monk had suffered. Gallus was concerned for Ra'kalesh's safety, but being that they had both lost close friends in this battle, he could understand the motivation. "If you can still fight, you're coming with us," Gallus said to Ra'kalesh before turning to Lorag, "If we find the general, know that we'll be right behind you."

Gallus looked to the remaining soldiers under his command. "Let's keep moving!"

Partway into the pursuit, Janius had a thought that had him shout forth to Lorag in front of him. "Hey! What if they aren't protecting something? What if they've just been ordered to get at Meesei upstairs?"
Personally, I like RP Guild Grey the best. It just pops, you know?
"At once," Gallus said to Ri'vashi before Lorag gave his addition. His insight was a useful reminder, but it didn't change his plans too much. "We'll keep the pressure up and find out as we go and we'll keep together. Soldiers!" Gallus turned and raised his hammer, "Form up and prepare to storm in!"

Gallus lead his group from the front with his pack as he went through the retreating passage way, following the retreating enemies. Lorag was technically under Meesei's command, which meant that authority over him fell to Ri'vashi as the supreme commander of the assault. The packs sent to find staircases would have to catch up when they returned.
It did not escape Gallus' attention that the enemy retreat was going through only one route. That meant that either the quickest way up was through that door or they wanted to be pursued through that way. Still, he could not do much from where he was without leaving the door he was investigating and risking the packs he had sent out.

However, when the horn sounded, Gallus' entire mindset changed. If they stayed put, they would be fighting on two fronts within minutes. Gallus was about to order to help eliminate the surrounded enemy in order to keep as much control as possible, but he noticed Ri'vashi deliberately heading their way. That grounded him from making any rash decisions. Once she was close enough and there was enough space left by the retreating enemy, Gallus and his pack broke from the formation to close the rest of the short distance.

"That'll be enemies at the gates! They're trying to circle around us!" Gallus said in case Ri'vashi hadn't come to the same conclusion. "We need to take the next level! What should we do?"
Gallus bared his teeth and almost cursed. It would have been much easier if they could see a staircase from here, but as a silver lining, at least there was no opposition. After looking in either direction of the hallway for a few moments, he surmised that a staircase would make the most sense to be closest to the walls. As well, these halls possibly lead to the other doors at some point. He stepped through the door and shouted back to his group. "Ghita! Pa'sura! Get your packs in here!" Gallus beckoned the alphas of two prides under his command to file through the door. Gallus was not of the mind to realise the semantics of pride versus pack. "One of each of you, take either direction! Look for a staircase up or a doorway into the main chamber behind the enemy, and then send a runner to tell us! If you meet any resistance, come back here! Be quick, don't get trapped! We'll hold here!"

The prides dispersed and Gallus stepped back into the battle in the chamber. It was no less chaotic than before, but it appeared as though the enemy had blundered in trying to envelope his breakaway group. Gallus took the front and decided to have his formation be the anvil against Ri'vashi's hammer, lest they thin themselves out as well.

Janius shouted in triumph when the combined efforts of the mages broke one of the oil pots. Though spilt oil still dripped down from the overhang, it was far from damaging. He returned his efforts towards fending off archers as Ahnasha, Fendros, and Sabine approached.

"Any sight of Meesei?" Fendros shouted as he joined him in dispatching the combatants above them.

Janius shook his head. "Just stay alive! Don't get shot!" Janius reflexively raised his shield over Fendros' shoulder to intercept an arrow it was blocked with a metallic thud. "Like that!"

Fendros was visibly more cautious after that, taking cover more often than not.

Once the pack was united, they followed the lead of Lorag once again. With how the momentum was turning, it was likely that they would be pushing the enemy back behind the various doors soon.
After many a long year of me not doing this, I have finally created a second 'Gathering of lore and creations' post in the character tab.

Please Peruse both the first one] and the second one and PM with what is missing from your individual God/Goddess's tab.

Lugu, you have your own post because your creations were the most and what I needed to move to fit everyone elses into one post.

Looking good. Thanks for that, Rtron!

The only thing I notice after re-reading my bits (apart from my own writing errors :S) is the bit on hain facial expressions. The quote from Termite with some extra stuff for express was unfortunately snipped.

Yep!

Coolio. Have him earn some salt and it shall be sprinkled upon him.
@Muttonhawk You should probably make Sularn your hero so he can spread the Gospel of Toun more effectively.
...

That's a good point. I think Toun would do that once Sularn proves that he's serious business by making a start.

Did you want to keep playing him if he was -- I don't know what you would call it -- canonised into a hero?
Before being ordered otherwise, Janius was throwing spells in the direction of the various archers to discourage or disable them. He was keeping close to Kaleeth to try and help cover herself. As for those tossing oil, Janius did not have any objections turning his spellfire upon them. The constant pressure he and the other mages had to keep up drew him to drink his magicka potion in a pause. He kept slinging fireballs and incinerating bolts in their direction, though he disliked being in this vulnerable position. He wondered where the formation would be going.

Gallus, being of the same thought process as Janius, concluded after a moment that they would have to check each of the doors for lack of knowing which one to take to get to the balcony. "Form up on me! We're going for that door there!" Gallus shouted and pointed to the door that was third from the right. He had his soldiers form a sort of walking cocoon from their shields and shuffled to the doors. Continued clacks and clinks of arrows assaulted their shields as they moved. A couple of arrows found gaps between them, but one one did damage, catching the leg of one of the spearmen. Their formation was slowed, but they found their way to the first door without much more hassle. Gallus gave no hesitation trying to open the door before them, save for aligning some shields to suppress whatever reprisals might be inside.

Outside, Sabine's eyes widened and her mouth hung open when Ra'kalesh insinuated Do'ajee's fate. She might have broken down right there, but she knew that she needed to focus. She finished up relieving Ra'kalesh's pain and patching the worst burns, leaving the rest to the healers behind the lines. Fendros was already urging them to move.

"We have to get inside! Come on, Sabine!" Fendros said, already finding a spot to rush in with Ahnasha. Sabine followed along after giving a worried glance back at Ra'kalesh.
All this...dancing. Vowzra is just standing between Toun and Nickel like -.-
You'd never guess he has a Bard-Son. Makes sense why he locked him away...

Vowzra had fun once. It was awful.
