Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

@Muttonhawk you have to admit Jägermeister is awesome at changing their image: The stuff tastes like crap and when I was a teen it had the image of a drink for oldtimers, but with advertisement and image campaigns they've gotten pretty darn trendy again.

The only drink that I have it in is what's known as a Jagerbomb. It's just a shot of Jager in an energy drink.

Yeah, we're classy in the colonies.
I like this game.

Ull'yang is a glass of kool-aid that's giving off Cherenkov radiation.

Vowzra is straight Jagermeister. You don't know what the hell its made of or what its even for. You just know you that don't like it.
Darahil reacted to Meesei's injury in the same way that he reacted to most things; with stoic silence. He was understanding and discreet, but this time there were extended pauses where tacit feelings were conveyed. They could have been anything from concern, to mere contemplation. However, the ingredients were given freely as Sabine needed.

By the time they reunited with their friends, Sabine had forgotten that she wasn't in a relationship with Peiter before they left. Sabine was worried when they all turned their heads in astonished silence. She thought they were staring at Peiter's missing arm. They were actually staring at them holding hands. It wasn't until Sabine's Nord friend, Frieda, shrieked in excitement and hugged them both that relief began to set in. She wished she had more time to catch up with them all.

The morning of the pack's third day back was the closest that felt to normality yet. Despite the reorganisation and the new leaders, they were back into a routine in a warm home with their friends. That feeling was somewhat shaken by Meesei's announcement.

The pack reacted with curiosity at Meesei's words. Normally, such things were presented with more gravity and sureness. Meesei would ask them all to pay attention rather than immediately interrupting them. Regardless, this was still significant news.

"...Visitors?" Janius said. He tilted his head and furrowed his brow in uncertainty. "Well that's...good news? Was that all? What did you see, exactly?"

Fendros spoke as well. "Indeed. It's been so soon since we arrived. This is sudden."

@Muttonhawk yeah, Australia's immigration/refugee policy gets some media coverage from time to time here. Never good, just stuff about letting Rohingya refugees drown or something.
But then again, name one western country that has a humane policy when it comes to immigrants and refugees.

Oh, it's not just inhumane treatment that's going wrong in Australia -- though, that's certainly a symptom. There's also just sheer incompetence within the system in place. The detention centres are underfunded, understaffed, undertrained, isolated, the list goes on. It's horrible whether you're Rohingya or not. Right now, the current government has decided to deal with the problem with complete media silence.

Anyway, I'm threatening another ranty essay with this topic. Time to move on...
@Muttonhawkyeah, i just saw it on our news here. They showed that the cops there strapped a boy naked on a chair and left him there for hours amongst other things.

This age we're in. It's pretty fucking spooky man...

You think that's bad, you should see the atrocious state of our immigration detention centres. It's a complex issue, but parliament has treated it like a political football for so long that they made the most half-arsed effort to deal with it for many years now. It's shameful, to be sure.
@Muttonhawk Hey man, with is going on with your juvenile prisons down there in Australia?

Some really cruel bastards filed some boys into a confined cell and sprayed them with capsicum spray as punishment for something. It was caught on a security camera. It was a class A disgusting situation. Investigations are being done. If people have not been fired and possibly charged at this point, they probably will be.
Sure.
"I would sooner read the report myself before trying to ask any more questions," Oswall said. "I have too many as it is."

A few eyes went to Gallus, who was standing up with his arms crossed and his head forward. He didn't seem to notice the looks. Likely on purpose.

"You have my deepest sympathies for Irenya," Darahil said, not looking up from the page of the report he was reading.

At that, the silence became a solemn one. There was little that anyone knew to say to support Gallus without drawing attention to him.

Gallus himself had not reacted to the words for a while. But he eventually mumbled out a "Thank you."

Oswall tried to save his son from the attention by clearing his throat. "Perhaps we might give our guests a tour while we go over this report and reconvene later to iron out the details?" Oswall smiled widely, spreading his white whiskers upwards.
