Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

@Antarctic Termite Dangit! I'm guessing this means you won't be on collabs for that time. Oh well, take a few books and bon voyage, I guess.

You totally want a Keriss dakimakura, it comes at the low price of your soul 10 shillings!

Funnily enough, it's probably easier to find a dakimakura of a muscular scaly female than it would be for an under-aged girl made from metal.

Oh?

I smell someone printing a dakimakura.
Collabs are fun, but the fun overflows when the schedules don't overlap too well.

Exhibit A:

Ariel continued with her look of regret. "Like I said, it wasn't my secret to reveal. It was Sabine's. And her pack's." Ariel traded a look with Sabine, who gave a small nod.

"I trust you, dear, I do," Ariel looked up to Rukeewei again. "But I couldn't have told you in good conscience without betraying the trust Sabine put in me." Ariel's words began speeding up again. "In honesty, I don't know if I ever could have told you without her permission. Perhaps if lycans did not have such a reputation? I was uncertain enough about what your reaction would be. I suppose after all this I was just..." Ariel paused, took a breath, and slowed down. "I was afraid of how it might change your opinion of my friends and me."
I have a question: How long has it been since the battle between Jvan and Vowzra? From then, to the latest time IC, how long has it been?

Probably a few years. Conata's grown up.

WELL THAT'S A FIRST

That was not intentional.
You raise some very valid points. I'll have to think about it. I might even introduce riding goats around Conata unless someone describes them there first. Goblins would be the kind of creatures to ride on anything that would bolt as soon as they're on it.

Maybe I'll make some kind of amalgam of a few creatures for hain. I don't want to give away what I have in mind for how it would work in combat, but suffice it to say, hain are not going to be using lances against each other until the materials get better. There'll be other things.

Spears for war ought to become more important for them with war animals, though.

I think the word you're looking for here is 'sheep'

You just wanted an excuse for the phrase 'mutton busting' to be in my browser history, didn't you?

Edit:
Ariel didn't pretend that it would be easy. She witnessed the very same thoughts coming from Rukeewei as she was having when she was told. She had it in her mind that a believable story would be a special commission for an alchemical medicine that would require them to travel. However, those sorts of details could come later.

The current detail was Rukeewei's acceptance. Ariel was pained at the struggle he had deciding, but felt her stress begin to melt away in his arms. She returned his hug and breathed out into his shoulder with her nose. "I don't want to go without you," she said in return.

They remained embracing for a few moments longer before Ariel slowly pulled halfway out of the hug. "There are a lot of other things, many particulars to work out. I'm unsure how I could feel any guiltier about throwing this upon you like this." Ariel looked down again. "Is there anything else you want to know?"
