Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

Lunise's eyes reluctantly went down to the saddlebag in her hand. While Areldril made his explanation to Meesei and the others, she gave him another glance and then carefully pulled out the parchment sheet with the blue seal. She dismissed the ward in her off-hand to open the document and began to read. Her angry face slowly transformed to a blank suppression of whatever emotions the words put her in.

"That is insane," Fendros said. "Marod, you knew this?"

Marod did not return to his levity, but he gave Fendros a look and an answer regardless. "Not about Vile's cult, no. As for the Dominion, enough is obvious now that to say any more would put lives at risk." He turned his eyes to Lunise and Areldril. "No offence intended, of course."

"Alright," Janius spoke up with great concern, looking at anyone who would answer. "So they want to sever stones from towers to destroy reality." He extended a hand upwards. "How do we stop them?"

Lunise was so still that observers had to look closely to know that she was even still breathing. Her eyes were no longer reading the words on the page in front of her. She simply stared blankly at the letter, blinking against the wind every now and then.
@Frettzo The status update is much appreciated! Sounds like a real fustercluck. Here's hoping some sanity eventually prevails.
Everyone's attention turned gradually to Lunise. She had been quiet when the Towers were mentioned. Her stony glare did not budge.

"I do not believe you," she finally said.

Marod spoke up. "I am no scholar on the specifics, Lunise, but the patterns of behaviour from the Thalmor point to it clearly. Aversion to us other races didn't come out of nowhere. They want to return-"

"That is idealistic trite!" Lunise shouted, casting one hand in front of her. "All of that sanctimonious drivel is a myth! The Thalmor are for an Altmer nation. Not putting it all to and end." She jabbed a finger in Areldril's direction. "How can you come out and claim such a thing if it was you that had to be complicit all this time, hm!? This is a petty political ploy, likely to manipulate the lycan population to your own ends, beyond your station, Areldril!"

"Areldril," Marod picked up, much more calmly. "Perhaps you should inform Meesei. Her people have a stake in this. Though I am sure, as would I, she would find it useful to know your stake in this."
You don't say, haha! I've only read those intercepts between that guy and Chancellor Ocato, so my knowledge is limited, but I would say that Marod would be privy to it.

I'll get a post up in a bit. I'm taking a quick study break.
Anybody working on cool posts?

Haven't started Conata vs. Vitrum yet. I have to analyse a scientific paper on evolutionary computation being used to adjust for human grammar for a presentation tomorrow.
There were no immediate responses beyond looks. Fendros looked sceptical while Janius just seemed confused. Sabine and Lunise remained suspicious. Marod had not changed his expression.

"How is that even possible?" Marod asked. "The towers cannot simply be snuffed out like so many candles."

Fendros added from behind. "And how would anyone be convinced to collapse Mundus? There are zealots in the faith, but surely not enough can condemn reality itself."
The rest of the pack, save for Ahnasha while she was out tracking, emerged from their hiding places to walk up behind Meesei. They began to exchange glances when Areldril began to name the Towers. All of them had heard of at least one of them. Their connection, if there was any, was lost on them.

Lunise stayed sprung with a ward ready to cast. She glared Areldril without a word herself.

Surprisingly, it was Marod who had the most recognition on his face. His previously non-chalant visage faded into a stern realisation. His brow lowered at Areldril, though he did not speak either. The reason for his silence could not be construed as ignorance.
Lunise stopped rummaging and turned her eyes up to Areldril, glinting with whatever indignant shout was boiling up in her chest. She silently allowed him and Meesei to continue.

Marod had been more level, though even he raised his brow and frowned at Areldril's willingness to cooperate. "We can't fault him for not thinking this through."

"Whatever authority you think you have, Areldril, forget it," Lunise's low voice warned. "You are not protected by the Dominion here. Nor by your ostentatious display to avoid suspicion. When your business here is concluded, you will be taken back for trial. Do not expect that you can walk onto my jurisdiction and have me cooperate like a sugar-dependent cat." Lunise's eyes turned to Meesei. "Champion, I suggest you take Marod's advice, as loathe as I am to encourage his ego."
@BBeast I've been watching gameplay on youtube of this game that has some nice music. Maybe this'll fit? It might be a bit whimsical, see what you think.

Dungeon Souls - Sewers

Also, it being game music, repeats on itself smoothly, which'll be nice for a tabletop.
@Cyclone Oooh, I like that book. Will it be passed around as an artefact?
