Did something happen? Like a human coming into the barracks?" Aya stiffened and forced herself away. "Nothing happened, my-" "Don't lie to me, Aya-chan." Aya looked down, saying nothing. "It was one of the orphans from four years ago." Aya opened her mouth to deny, to protect Valerian. "No matter. The Four horsemen of John will take care of them. The night is their domain, after all. You are invited to the Congenitor's council tonight. I'll be making an announcement."
